chapter two

Wanda groans.

She couldn't like Loki. It was forbidden, by her own rules.

Did her own rules even work in real life? Maybe not, unless she enforced them.

So, she pulls off her sweatshirt, tightening her ponytail, before leaving her bedroom, her hair hitting the back of her neck.

She sped-walked towards the elevator, looking out the windows to see snow.

Not Sokovian snow. It wasn't as heavy, but it was on the ground like a Winter Wonderland.

Or, that's how it was described to her. She didn't really understand why anyone thought that this was a lot of snow.

She sighs, stepping into the elevator slowly, pressing the buttons carefully, since she didn't want to go to the wrong floor.

She hits floor 5, knowing that's where most of the Avengers would be.

Probably eating.

...

As the elevator doors open up, Wanda sees all the Avengers talking to Loki.

Natasha had her hand on Loki's shoulder, laughing loudly.

Wanda bites her lip, running a hand through her hair.

"Training?" She asks, her accent thick as she walks over to where they are.

Tony looks at her, confused. "Kid, why would we be having training?"

Wanda looks at him, surprised before sighing. "Because we're the Avengers? And just incase Loki tries to attack us?"

The last sentence is quieter, more of a whisper, but Loki walks towards her, placing his hand on the side of her face while smiling.

"Wanda, there is no need for me to attack you, or your team. Stark has suggested to throwing a party, and that is why we aren't training." Loki states, cupping her chin.

Wanda just stares up at him, pursing her lips before sighing and moving her chin out of Loki's grip. "Fine. Whatever. What time is the party?" She asks.

"7." Natasha answers. "You and I should probably start getting ready, Wanda."

It was 2.

"I don't think it'll take us that long." Wanda states, crossing her arms.

Natasha looks at her. "Come on."

"Fine." Wanda replies, rolling her eyes as the two walk away.

As the two leave the room, Loki leans over to Thor. "That one. She's got fire in her. What is she?"

Thor looks at him. "Strange believes a nexus being. But the, 'Harbringer of Chaos' and, 'Scarlet Witch' are catchier."

Loki nods, crossing his arms.

...

"That looks too small." Wanda says, pointing at the dark red dress.

Natasha sighs. "It's fine. It'll be tight, but it'll fit."

Wanda sighs. "Fine."
...

The dark red lace that looked like X's over her chest was right, and the dress barely came down to her thighs.

Wanda looks at Natasha. "So?"

Natasha turns around, her dark red hair whipping to the side.

A small smile comes onto her face. "You look good. Now, we need to do hair, make up, and heels."

Wanda runs a hand through her messy brown hair. "Ugh."

"It'll be fine." Natasha says with laugh, before picking up dark red heels. "These are for you."

Wanda takes the heels. "And what about you?"

"Oh, yeah." Natasha replies. "I'll show you my outfit after I change into it."

"So when?" Wanda asks.

"You're very impatient, you know that, right?" Natasha asks with a smirk.

Wanda laughs in response. "Yeah, I do know that. Now, can you go change?"

Natasha sighs. "Fine. I'll tell you when I'm done, I'll come in, you'll see the dress on me, and then I'll do your hair and makeup."

Wanda nods, and Natasha walks into her bathroom, slamming the door.

"Miss Maximoff, is everything okay?" The A.I says out of nowhere.

Wanda looks towards the voice, before sighing. "No, everything is fine, Fri. How big is the party going to be tonight?"

"Very big. Mr. Stark said that he wanted to throw a very big party for Loki."

Wanda sighs. "And what's so special about him? He's tried to take over New York!"

Natasha opens the door and Wanda slams her head onto one of her pillows.

"So, what do you think?" Natasha asks as she steps out of the bathroom, heels meeting the hardwood floor that wasn't covered by black and red carpet.

Wanda lifts her head, seeing the Black Widow wearing a strapless black dress with a dark green jacket.

Wanda smiles. "Nice. Are we almost done?"

Natasha licks her lips. "Nope."

...

After a few more hours of getting makeup and hair ready, the two finally stepped out of Wanda's bedroom and went to the elevator.

Wanda's hair let down, and her curls were more wavy.

Natasha had straightened her hair, running a hand through it as they stood in the elevator.

"Are we going to be late?" Wanda asks.

"Not as late as Stark usually is." Natasha replies with a smirk, wrapping an arm around Wanda's back. "It'll be fine, Wands."

Wanda sighs. "Alright."

The two step out of the elevator as they reach their stop, seeing the place surrounded with people.

"Natasha, Wanda, glad you could make it." Stark says.

"Of course. Wouldn't want to miss out on a party." Wanda says through gritted teeth, her accent thick.

She hated Stark.

He killed her parents.

He never found the courage to apologize for it, so she wouldn't apologize to him for what she did at the HYDRA base.

"Wanda." Natasha snaps, holding the Witch's hand, which takes Wanda out of her thoughts.

"What? Oh, sorry."

Wanda sees a blonde haired woman-more like strawberry blonde-walk over towards Stark.

"Tony." She whispers, handing him a tablet.

"Ah, Pepper. Hey, have you two met Pepper? She's my wife."

Wanda bites her lip and looks at Natasha, who just smiles.

"Yes, Tony, I have met your wife before." Natasha nods. "Maybe you should listen to her."

"Alright, Widow! See you!"

The two women walk away, and Wanda leans close to Natasha. "Is he..drunk?" Wanda asks softly.

"Yeah. That's why I don't want you to drink. Look at Tony."

Wanda nods.

...

She stands to the side, right beside the bar.

"Ma'm? Ma'm." A voice says from behind her, and Wanda sees it's a man, obviously offering catering. "Would you like a drink?"

"Uh, sure. Something light, please?" Wanda asks, before turning around.

"You look young."

"I'm 21."

"Noted."

And she hears a drink pouring and sighs.

This party was boring.

"So, Witch, how are you?" A voice asks from beside her, and Wanda looks to see Loki.

She felt her face go red, but covers it with the masking of her powers.

"Hello Loki." Wanda says softly, grabbing her drink. "I am doing fine. How about you?"

"Eh, I don't really like parties if I'm being honest." Loki replies, taking a sip of his own drink.

"Why not? I thought you loved parties, since Stark arranged this for you." Wanda says, her tone confused.

"Well-"

Loki is about to finish, when both of their glasses break in their hands.

She doesn't feel the glass hit her legs, but she does hear a voice from behind her.

"So, the Scarlet Witch," The voice starts, and Wanda turns around, seeing a blue alien. "A murderer. The one who will most likely destroy us," The alien leans closer, their voice getting deeper. "is here, partying."

They walk out, and Wanda conjured a few scarlet wisps in her hands.

"No, no, why are you all partying? You're all killers. You destroy lives."

"Who are you?" Steve asks, glaring at the alien.

"Me? I am not from here. But we'll all soon be."

Something crushes the alien, blue blood splattering everywhere, and Wanda sees that Natasha shot it.

"I always have a weapon on me." She whispers.

That's when all the glass windows suddenly broke.

Everything felt like it was in Slow motion.

She feels the scarlet magic rush through her body, as she stops the glass, holding it back as the rest of the aliens attack.

Loki hits multiple of them with a knife.

She throws the glass as if it were daggers at the aliens, making them drop dead as it went through their bodies.

...

Everything was covered in blue blood once every alien was dead.

Wanda pulls a small piece of glass out of her arm.

"What we're those things?" She asks as she goes closer to her team, rubbing her arm.

"Aliens. They had to have come from something bigger." Natasha states.

"So what do we do?" Bruce asks. "About them. The aliens."

"We might have to kill them." Wanda says, her Sokovian accent thick.

"At least let us identify what and who they are."
Bruce says.

Wanda runs a hand through her hair and face.

"Fine." Steve states, looking at his team. "You guys know we're all in this together, right?"

"Yeah." Loki murmurs.

Wanda nods. "Yeah. Yeah, I do."

The whole team nods. "Are we going to have to clean this all up?" Bruce asks.

"No. Pepper or I will get someone to clean it up." Stark replies to Banner, crossing his arms. "Goodnight, team. Stay safe. Come on, Pep."
