Chapter 3

The street lights among the town flickered as they tried to turn on, people were crowded outside their homes with nowhere else to go.

" Here you go. " Ash said as he placed the ice pack on Bonnie's sprained ankle.

" Thanks. " Bonnie yawned. " It sure is getting late, where are they other? "

" No clue. " Ash replied, standing up and dusting off his clothes.

" Hey! Ashy boy, were back" They heard someone shout.

It was Gary along with the rest of the others, accompanied by the Professor. None of them had any new injuries so that was good news.

" The Professor and all the pokemon at the lab are o- " Gary cheerfully began but was cut off.

Ash stepped forward with his right foot and swung his body around so he kneed Gary in the stomach with his left.

" You were asking for it. " Bonnie shrugged as she watched Gary curl up in a ball on the ground in pain, muttering swears as he held tightly onto his stomach.

" Hows Delia? " Dawn asked.

" Either unconscious or dead, to lazy to check. " Bonnie answered.

" How are you feeling Professor? " Ash questioned.

" I'm feeling just fine, the lab hadn't taken too much damage so all the pokemon were kept safe. " The professor explained.

" That's good, although would you mind if i were to grab some stuff from your lab? "

" Not at all, go right ahead. " The professor agreed.

" Thanks. " Ash nodded and headed towards the lab.

" Man, my clothes are all dusty. " May complained, while dusting off her clothes.

" You don't look any worse that usual. " Bonnie commented.

May glared at Bonnie hoping that the young elite would shut up, but she was completely wrong.

-----------------

Ash shoved open the front door of the lab open and made his way inside. Glass and bottles were shattered among the ground with sheets of paper covering nearly everything.

" Compared to everything else, looks like this place was able to hold up pretty well. " Ash spoke aloud, scanning the area for what he had come here for.

Ash decided to go up the stairs to the second floor to grab some more medical supplies from the bathroom. He changed the blood soaked gauze wrapped around his shoulder and wrapped up his hand, then shoved the remaining supplies in a bag he had found in one of the rooms on that floor.

Walking down the stairs he swung the bag over his good shoulder and searched the other rooms on the first floor.

In the kitchen most of the appliances had fallen to the floor and now looked busted up pretty bad. Ash picked up each of them and placed them back on the counter, grabbing a knife from one of the drawers he pulled the rest of the remaining parts of the appliances apart.

Gathering the necessary pieces, Ash began his work of fixing the broken watch. It took him a while but soon enough it was finished, although there was still one thing he had to do before he could call his pokemon. While he was in the process of fixing it, he also was able to make a few changes so that it ran faster and had a couple more options.

Closing the door behind him, he headed back out the lab towards the others. Although as he walked steadily down the path he could hear shouting not that far off in the distance. As he went around the last corner he saw that many of the townspeople were watching the event that showed in front of his destroyed house.

" Excuse me. " Ash asked one of the couples that was watching. " Could you tell me whats going on? " He politely asked.

" Oh yes, of course, although we're not quite sure ourselves. " The lady began. " From what we've seen that blonde girl on the rock along with the girl with the light brown hair and bandana started arguing. We weren't close enough to hear what they were yelling about, but not long after that the rest of them just joined in and created all this commotion. "

" They seem like such a feisty group that no one here dared to ask them to stop, even the Professor. " The man stated.

Ash peered around by the group and saw that the Professor was busy taking care of Delia.

" Figures. " He muttered. " Thank you very much. " Ash kindly bowed to them for the information he had received.

Ash spun around and headed right to the clearly pissed off group that was creating a scene.

" Hey where're you going kid? " The man called to him. " If I were you, I wouldn't go near them when they're like this! "

" Don't worry about it. " Ash waved to him without turning around.

Ash tried to ignore the whispers and comments of the townspeople as he kept walking. The people of this town weren't exactly comfortable with stepping up or pretty much doing anything, they'd rather live a relaxing life with no danger or unpleasant surprises. As Ash was growing up in this town he had noticed that mainly only him and Gary had the courage and energy to do things, while the rest simply gardened and did really boring shit.

" How's it going Professor? " Ash asked as he walked up to the old man.

" Well I guess you could say they're the same as always. " He sighed and pointed to the arguing group. " Delia seems to be alright, we'll know for sure once she wakes up. "

" Alright then. " Ash nodded in understandment.

He calmly walked by the Professor and thought about what to do next.

" Hey, can you guys shut it? " He spoke with his usual tone.

Although with all their shouting they couldn't hear the young Kalos champion's request.

" You're creating a scene. " He continued. " Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up. "

Most of them were insanely yelling, while others were preparing to fight (without the use of pokemon, just so you know :p).

" You have ten seconds. " Ash announced, his patience wearing thin. " Ten, nine, eight, seven, six " His voice got louder as he kept counting down " Five, four, three, two, one! "

The group of " friends " had kept shouting until one voice overpowered and frightened them all.

" SHUT THE FUCKING HELL UP BEFORE I KICK ALL YOUR MOTHER FUCKIN ASS'S! " Ash yelled.

The entire group and their audience froze as silence filled the air.

" Oh, w-would you look whos back... " Clemont nervously stuttered.

" H-hey Ash. " Brock greeted him.

" Yeah, i'm mother fucking back bitches. " Ash replied, placing his hands on his hips.

" S-so did you find what you needed from the lab? " Serena asked.

Ash sighed ' Guess i'll let them get away with this for now. ' " Yes, I did. " He answered. " How's your ankle feeling Bonnie? "

" Um... a bit better. Although it still hurts a lot. " She said.

" Hmmm. " Ash mumbled while in thought.

" Is there something wrong? " Trip asked him.

" Well I was wanting to travel back to Kalos to fix some things, my original plan was to bring you all along as well but with Delia still unconscious and some of the people in this town still requiring assistance I doubt that plan will still work. " He explained.

They all watched as Ash tried to come up with a plan.

" Guess we'll have to split up into two groups. " He announced.

" Ok! " They all replied in unison, it's not like they could come up with a better plan so they just agreed with whatever Ash had chosen.

Before Ash could say who was in what group he became distracted by a lilac color sort of screen, like the one they had seen Mewtwo create. Although this one was different, it had a different feeling.

Ash looked around at all the other people in the town, after Ash had stopped the fight they had all gone back to what they were doing in the first place. With every group of people there was the exact same screen in front of them, but no one knew what it was.

The elites, frontier brains, the pain in the ass's crowded around Ash who stood directly in front of the screen that stayed floating in its spot.

Ash moved his hand towards it and touched right in the center of the screen, the screen lit up and showed a man sitting in a chair with short black hair wearing victorian like clothes along with a mask that crossed down from one side, a man stood beside him with black hair as well as somewhat creepy clothes.

The first person sitting in the chair^

The person that was standing to the side of the first^

( its just the clothing not what they actually look like and for those of you who know the characters, yes it is black butler. I had found these clothes before I watched it and now I absolutely love the show, but back to the story.)

" Congratulation to those of you that are still alive and well. " The man in the chair said. " The event that had occurred before was not an earthquake but something that we had forced upon this world. "

" Who the hell is this? " May rudely questioned.

Ash was paying close attention to everything that was happening on the screen, something felt familiar about it but he couldn't quite figure out what it was.

" I am the leader of my own organization called the Slayers. For the longest time we had been slowly forming in the shadows, watching as others attempted to claim this world as their own, only for them to fail. " He continued. " We have risen up to achieve what we had dreamed about for what seemed forever, to put the world back to how it should be. "

Ash's eyes widened as he realized what was bugging him, the place the guy was at, it was...

" The people of this world, so many live care free. People need a ruler and the Champions of this time do not entirely fulfil their role. Before there was a time that projected the image of perfection, but it was one that through time had become the past, one that we currently do not live in. "

" Hey, isn't that..? " Serena began but her voice slowly faded out.

" Yes, it is. " Ash replied back to her.

" Before there were roles such as king and queen, princes, dukes, earls and so on. Those at the top held everything in their hands, no one was to question their choices, but to follow and obey instead. "

" What's he going on about? " Max asked.

" Those at the bottom knew the cruel reality of the world and sought to keep their place among the living, while others refused to take part and had been taken care of. That version of the world was certainly the perfect way to live, if you didn't benefit those higher up than what good were you. This is the way people should live, to aid their ruler in what they desire. "

" What an asshole. " Alain commented.

" I, Karum, am the new ruler of this world and all of you are to serve me and fulfil my desires and wishes " The man now known as Karum proudly said.

The townspeople yelled at the screen they each were looking at, disagreeing with Karum and his ways.

" I doubt most of you aren't pleased with this but realize that this is the true way the world should be. " He smirked before continuing. " The way I see it, you all don't have much of a choice. "

" What does he mean by that? "

" He's obviously gone mad if he thinks anyone would agree. "

" It's not like we have to worry, the Champions are sure to put this guys in his place! "

The town erupted with comments like these as the people thought they had nothing to fear.

" To all you Champions, Elites, Frontier brains and gym leaders. Feel free to come and face at me at anytime you like, but i'd like to mention something to everyone first. "

Ash felt something tug on the back of his jacket, he turned his head around to face Clemont.

" What do you think he's playing at? " Clemont whispered slightly worried.

" I think i've got a rough idea but I gotta admit, this Karum guy is smarter than I first thought. " Ash whispered back.

" A while back I had become interested in something that had gained the attention of nearly everyone everywhere. " Karum brought his index finger to his bottom lip while he remembered the events. " A tournament had formed in the Kalos region, hosted by the Kalos champion, a very powerful opponent indeed. "

" Is he... praising you? " Brock asked, directing the question to Ash.

" From what I can tell it's nothing like that, if anything he's trying to piss me off. " Ash answered without averting his attention off the screen.

" I wonder what you'd all consider him to be if not the most powerful of all the Champions. " Karum's smirk grew as he went on. " If that is the case then please tell me this, if this kid is so strong then why was he easily defeated? "

The group surrounding Ash looked at this Karum guy not understanding anything he said, while Ash just quietly stood there.

" Champions certainly do have such a nice place to live, although I felt it was lacking in color. " Karem grinned, spreading his arms out. The camera filming backed up and showed the rest of the room, it was Ash's office.

Karum sat in his chair with his one leg crossed over the other, the desk right behind him. The walls and doors had blood spatters across them, as well as the carpet soaking up most of it.

" If this is as much as a challenge you petty human can bring, then I hope you enjoyed your freedom while it lasted. " Karum finished as the screen disappeared.

The group all watched with curious expressions at Ash, who glared at where the screen once was.

' So that's how you want to play things... ' Ash said within his thoughts, a smile finding its way to his lips.

So, in this chapter Ash had stated that they'd have to split up into two groups. Who do you think should go with Ash to help take down Karum and who should stay in Pallet town and help out from there?

Sorry if I messed up on something in this chapter
