Love's The Funeral Of Hearts.

The next day, Aria called Chloe and told her to come over.

She had been frantic ever since yesterday, especially after realizing she might have feelings for Ville.

Chloe came over immediately, worried since Aria had told her it was an emergency.

In Chloe's mind, an emergency was automatically a love emergency, and of course, since she was an expert, she had to show up.

When she got to the apartment, she bombarded Aria with questions.

"What is it? Is it Ville?" She Asked, grabbing her friend by the shoulders, shaking her a bit. "Tell me!"

"Sit down." Aria laughed a little, guiding her over to the couch.

They both sat, and Chloe looked into Aria's eyes. "Who is it?"

Aria took a deep breath, looking down. "Ville.."

"I knew it!" She Exclaimed. "Tell me everything."

"Well.." Aria started. "I called my mom...my dad got a hold of the phone, and, you know how he is.."

"He was drinking again?" Chloe asked, her face falling. "Did he shout?"

Aria nodded. "He hung up, and I started having a panic attack. I tried to call you, but you were at work." She Said. "So I called Ville. He came over to calm me down, then we both fell asleep on the couch. When we woke up, he kissed me.."

Chloe's eyes began to glow. "He kissed you!" She Exclaimed. "That means he likes you! Congrats, Aria!"

"I kicked him out." Aria stated.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Chloe Asked, now utterly mortified.

"After everything with dad, I panicked, Okay?" She Said. "I'm scared to fall in love, but gosh darn-it, I have! But What if I end up with someone like dad?"

Chloe patted Aria on the back. "Aria, Ville isn't Anything like your dad.." she said.

"How do you know?" Aria asked, sighing softly.

"I know, believe me." Chloe Said.

"Will he even forgive me now?" Aria asked.

"If he truly loves you, Yeah."

"But we just met."

"So? Love at first sight exists." Chloe Said, patting Aria on the back again. "Call him or something. Fix things before they're too far gone."

Aria swallowed. "What if I can't do it?"

"You can." Chloe Said, smiling. "I believe in you."

Aria looked down, and Chloe pulled her into a side hug.

"I feel really bad for kicking him out.." Aria mumbled, looking down. "There's no way he'll forgive me.."

"Don't say that." Chloe Said. "Everything will be fine, I promise."

The weekend quickly passed, and a new week had begun, causing Aria to realize that it had been quite some time since everything with Ville.

She had procrastinated to call him back, panicking herself every time she picked up the phone to do so.

What would she even say?

Besides, he probably wouldn't want to be friends anymore after what she did.

She honestly wouldn't want to be friends with herself, either.

It was Tuesday afternoon, however, when Aria finally picked up the phone. She dialed Ville's number slowly, her heart beginning to pound in her chest.

This was it. The moment of truth.

Would he forgive her?

She pressed the 'call' button, bringing the phone up to her ear, wincing.

She wasn't ready for his. Not at all.

The phone stopped ringing, and Aria bit her lip.

No answer.

She set the phone down, letting out a long sigh.

She felt better, yet, somehow worse that he didn't answer.

Better, because she wouldn't have to apologize now. She could have more time to think of what to say.

But, worse, because she wondered if he had been ignoring the phone on purpose. Would it be because he knew she would call? Did he not want to talk to her? Was he angry?

Little did she know, he just couldn't talk to her.
