15. Beyond Redemption
Once they made it to Aria's apartment, they both stopped in front of the door.
Aria bit her lip. "Will you call me later?"
"You have my number." He smirked a bit.
She let out a breathy chuckle. "You're right.."
She looked down a bit, a slight blush creeping up her cheeks.
Ville lifted her head with a couple of his fingers under her chin, and she looked into his green eyes.
Neither of them were sure how they would say goodbye. Would it be normal, acting like they were only friends, or were they actually both fully accepting that they were in love with each other?
Aria bit her lip. Part of her didn't want to know if Ville loved her. She would only get her heart broken, right?
Suddenly, Ville interrupted her thoughts by crashing his lips into hers. Afterwards, He wrapped his arms around her tightly.
"Näkemiin, Aria." He Said.
"Näkemiin, Ville." She Said, hugging him back tightly.
They hugged for a moment longer, and Aria could tell that there was something else he wanted to say.
He swallowed a bit, taking a deep breath.
"Rakastan sinua."
She felt as if her heart had stopped in her chest, and her breath hitched in her throat.
He was probably hoping that she wouldn't understand what he said, since she had told him she didn't speak fluent Finnish.
However, out of the few words she did know, that was one of them.
Once she got her composure back, she took a deep breath.
"I love you, too, Ville."
Ville pulled away from her, an adorable smile on his face. "I'll talk to you later, love."
She smiled, nodding.
The two of them turned their separate ways, and Aria made her way up to her apartment, a childish grin on her face as she made it to her door, fumbling for her keys in her pocket.
Just wait till Chloe hears about this, she thought.
Suddenly, she realized that her door was unlocked.
She furrowed her eyebrow as she studied it, also realizing that it was open.
He heart began pounding in her chest as she pushed the door open slowly.
When she saw what was inside, her heart sunk.
The entire apartment had been destroyed. It looked like Someone came in, looking for something.
She swallowed, walking inside.
She looked around, making her way to the coffee table, where their was one thing sitting.
She reached down, picking up the piece of folded paper.
She unfolded it slowly, revealing a note.
I told you I'd come and find you.
Her eyes widened.
"I will come and find you." Her father had said last week.
She dropped the note, her heart beginning to pound in her chest.
"Ville.." she mumbled to herself, then went running our the door.
She began running down the sidewalk, and when she saw that Ville was in sight, she began screaming his name.
"Ville!" She screamed, tears beginning to fill her eyes.
Ville turned around, his eyes immediately filling with worry as she ran up to him.
He grabbed her shoulders, looking her over to see if she was hurt in any way.
"What's wrong?" He Asked.
She was breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath. "V-Ville.." she choked out.
"Love, calm down.." he said, his voice laced with concern. "What's happened?"
"M-my Dad.." She began to sob. "H-he was at my apartment...he's come for me.."
"Oh, love.." Ville wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close.
She buried her face in his chest. "Ville...he'll k-kill me.."
"Shh...enkeli, I won't let him.." he coped, rubbing her back comfortingly. "Do you want to come stay with me in my tower?"
"I don't want to be a burden.." she said, swallowing.
"I want to keep you safe.." he said. "You would never be a burden to me."
She swallowed again. "O-okay.." she mumbled.
He nodded, patting her on the back. "We'll go get some of your things, Yeah?"
She nodded, taking a deep breath to compose herself as she pulled away from him.
He took her hand in his, and they began to walk back to her apartment.
Once they made it there, Aria led Ville inside. Ville was immediately mortified.
"How dare he.." he growled, looking around at the mess her father left. "That bastard.."
She swallowed, also looking around. "He went through everything.."
"We need to see if he took anything." Ville Said.
Aria nodded. "I'm going to go pack some clothes.."
Ville nodded. "I'll stay right here, love."
"Okay." She mumbled, making her way into her bedroom.
Ville walked over to her desk, seeing that her father had ripped various papers to pieces.
He came across one, however, that just had writing all over it.
From the looks of it, it was a poem, but her father had written messages all over it.
Terrible poetry. You're just a failure. Stop trying.
Just Seeing the notes, thinking of the things he did to her, it made Ville want to murder him if he ever laid eyes on his face.
How could he? In the time that Ville had known her, Aria had been nothing but perfect.
Ville clenched his fists, swallowing hard.
"Vitun paskiainen..." He growled.
"What's wrong?" Aria asked, just coming into the room.
With only that split second to think, Ville shoved the poem into his pocket.
He didn't want her to see the notes from her father, but she also didn't want him to know he saw the poem. He hadn't read through it, of course, but she wouldn't know that.
He swallowed. "Hm? Nothing." He said.
"You sounded angry.." she said, adjusting the backpack that she was now wearing on her back. "And I can only guess that you Said a curse word?"
"Ah.." Ville Said, nodding. "I was just saying to myself that your father is a fucking bastard."
Aria bit her lip. "Okay.." she mumbled. "Vitun paskiainen...I'll have to remember that one."
Ville smiled a bit. "Did you pack?"
"Yeah." She Said.
"Have you found anything he might've taken?"
She bit her lip. "A couple things." She Said. "But not much."
He nodded. "We'll figure out what to do next when we get back to my tower."
She nodded back.
