Y/N's POV

Me and Hau are done battling and it turns out that I won in the end. "Heh good battle Y/N for a beginner." Hau said returning his pokemon.

"Yeah good job (Starter pokemon)!" I said as he/she tackled me with a hug. Then we saw Gladion and Lillie coming.

"Hey Lillie! Gladion your here!" Hau said running up to them.

"Yeah sorry it's just that Nebby can't stay inside the bag." Lillie said holding her bag as a fidgeting Nebby keeps moving in the bag.

"Nebby please stop moving!" Lillie scolded it.

"Pew Pew!" Nebby cried out.

"Anyways we might as well start our journey." Gladion said.

"Ok let's go!" I said as we were going to head out Professor Kukui came.

"Hey Y/N don't forget this!" He said as he handed me some sort of machine. "Uh what's this?" I asked.

"It's a pokedex since I heard that you recently came to the Alola region I figured that you need a pokedex to learn all the different types of what the pokemon here in Alola are." Professor Kukui said.

"Oh okay then." I said as I take another look at the pokedex.

"Here you turn it on with this." Kukui said as he revealed a rotom. "Uh a rotom?" I asked sweat dropping.

"Yes with this rotom you can access this little guy to the pokedex watch." Kukui said as me along with Hau,Lillie and Gladion looked.

"Alright rotom go in." Kukui ordered as rotom went inside of the pokedex. Then the pokedex started to glow and then it flew out of my hands.

A bright light showed and I shielded my eyes from the brightness. As soon as the light faded I then look at what happened.

"Hello izzz nice to meet you all!" The little machine said. "Meet this new invention I created also a friend meet the Rotomdex but in short meet rotom." Kukui said as Rotom was zooming around.

"Wowzerz you are my trainer why don't we travel together!" Rotom said excitedly. "That's sooooooo cool!" Hau said jumping up and down. "Well I'm impressed." Lillie said amazed.

"Also may I have a word with Gladion for a moment." Kukui asked.

"Um sure we will wait." I said. "Kay thanks come on Gladion." Kukui ordered as Gladion just followed him.

I wonder what they will be talking about?

Gladion's POV

Me and Kukui were walking a few feet away from the others. "Ok what do you want to talk about that has to do with me?" I asked while my hands laid on my hips.

"It's about Y/N." Kukui said looking at me with a serious look on his face. "What about her?" I asked.

"Well I know she is new and all however she doesn't have a place to stay due to a certain area that makes her feel uncomfortable." He said. "I knew that but what else is up with her?" I questioned.

"You will keep an eye on my cousin." Kukui said. Wait cousin!?

"Your her cousin!?" I asked. "Why yes you see I known Y/N when she was young thier were some times that I would have to baby sit her at times when something goes down." Kukui explained.

"Ok what else do I need to know." I questioned. "Well for all I know is that it's best to stay out of the area her father was in because through out my years I have been hearing from my relatives that thier was a fight between her parents and all." Kukui said.

"So you will be watching over her." He said. "Fine but only this once when Y/N is able to defend herself I will get back to my own duties." I said.

"Okay just don't do anything bad." He said. "Like what?" I asked.

"Well have something with her." He said which that made me blush hardly.

"Okay." I said and left to go with my friends.
