CHAPTER 31: Caught And An Oath
~Caught and An Oath.~
"It's pleasant for my arms whenever I wrap them around you and warm myself with the fieriness of your body" ~ Zaid
************
Shravya flinched at the feeling of his hand, crawling towards her lower region from her stomach. Her breaths were shaky and her wrists were sore because of the tight and frayed ropes that were bounding her to the bed. The pain she was feeling was far away from painful. It won't be fair if someone calls it only painful. That pain was unbearable, heart-rending, and excruciating.
"S...stop....s..stop it," she sobbed, breathing sharply. Breathing was hard for her as each intake of breath was paired with pain, that was spread throughout her whole frame.
"I just can't get enough of you," he spoke, staring down at her with a devious glint in his eyes as his hand crawled to her waist, making her whimper softly.
"Don't cry sona," he purred in her ear, exhaling deeply and sadistically stroking the side of her jaw.
"N...no..o," she gasped, tears pouring more rapidly from her eyes as she struggled.
Her eyes widened and breaths hitched between her sobs as his breath fanned over her ear and his chest collided with hers, making her soul rot in agony and disgust because of their proximity.
Pleadingly her trembling eyes looked at him - the heartless person who has tortured her for so long. A stride of fresh tears came out of her red and puffy eyes, begging for mercy but his coal-black orbs stayed ignorant of their pleadings.
"NO... DON'T TOUCH ME!!!," Shravya screamed and opened her eyes with a jerk, only to find herself alone on the bed. She shifted in a sitting position, her thoughts distant and foggy as her eyes carefully scanned the room but found no sign of Zaid.
It means whatever she saw was a dream. It wasn't real. She was dreaming about her past... A bad dream... A nightmare.
She gulped audibly, wiping the sweat off her head as relief took over her panic state. "He isn't here. He isn't here " she mumbled to herself, desperately trying hard not to be scared as she wrapped her arms around herself.
She looked on the bed as tears streamed down from her terrified eyes. "Stay calm. He isn't here. Everything is okay," her bottom lip quivered as she continued mumbling.
'Moan my name'
'I can't get enough of you'
'Sona,'
'I want to have you again.'
She squeezed herself more in her own embrace, a fresh set of warm tears leaking from her eyes as his disgusting words kept ringing in her ear.
"SHUT UP!"
"STOP IT!"
Suddenly she screamed, her palms covering her ears as she let out a heavy exhale of exhaustion and irritation. When finally the voices stopped, she closed her eyes tightly, gritting her teeth on her vulnerability.
Swiftly she got up from the bed and went into the bathroom, not wanting to sleep anymore.
On entering the bathroom, she walked deeper and stared in the mirror at herself. Empty hazel orbs stare back at her as if they were mocking her by showing her their emptiness but she couldn't blame them or herself. Those eyes have seen every horrible thing, which she had endured.
She smoothed her white, cotton nightgown and splashed cold water on her face, providing some ease to her red eyes which were burning due to crying too much. After washing, she took a towel and pat her face dry before exiting the bathroom and walking back into the room.
A sigh leaped past her lips when she saw the clock. It was only 2 am. Just some more hours were left for her flight, then she will leave India.
She took her phone and settled on the couch as her tired frame melted, trying to find some comfort. Blinking in exhaustion, she stared at the balcony windows. Even though she clearly knew there was no one in the room but her yet still, all the hairs on her body stood on their end. She kept feeling that someone was looking at her.
'SHATTER!'
A blow of cold wind, suddenly, made her body flinched when she heard the sound of something shattering. She gnawed on her bottom lip, gaping at the bathroom door.
The shattered voice just came from there!
She gulped tremblingly, her gaze stopping at the doorknob. Her mind was drowning in the thoughts of all different possibilities but keeping them aside, she hastily stood to her feet, stepping towards the bathroom. But this time before she could reach there, abruptly, she slipped on something sticky, liquid-type thing and directly fell on her chest, upon the hard floor.
Her fists tightly clutched together and her features paled when the metallic smell of blood reached her nostrils.
She just slipped on blood!
Panic instantly set inside her and a horrific scream left her mouth when she spotted an
amputated arm harshly pinned onto the front side of the bed with a big iron nail jabbed deeper into its flesh.
Her heartbeats nearly stopped witnessing such a scene. It was looking like something out of a nightmare...a horrible nightmare, that she saw with wide, scared, and tear-filled eyes.
Her breaths were almost gone as she tried to move up from the floor but she couldn't. Her body was too numb to react and she was in too much shock to do anything.
"H...h...help..bl...ood," she sobbed, feeling the blood smeared over her face and the nightgown. But to her misfortune, her sobs seemed useless because no one was there to hear them.
With a loud wailing, her trembling palm touched the floor, sporting her body as she tried to get up and surprisingly succeed. The movement her feet touched the floor, she instantly ran towards the door.
"Help!! Please," she cried, running outside. "Help! Please open the door," she screamed banging the door of the room, next to hers.
"Please, open the door!!"
"Help!"
"Is someone there?"
"Please help!"
She cried, sobbed, and screamed. Her voice echoed around the big and spacious corridor as she banged---every room's door---with her fists, but it seemed like all of those cries went unheard. It felt like no one was there... No one except her.
Trembling and crying, she ran towards the elevator. But to her bad luck, the elevator's door opened, before she could reach there. And inside, there stood Zaid.
Her heart raced and fell into the pit of her stomach and slightly stumbled, swallowing hard, her eyes looking here and there, trying to find an escape but unfortunately, there was none.
Suddenly her eyes stopped and stare at him, not wanting to leave his face. She couldn't believe that he was standing in front of her, for real. And now, there was no escape. He caught her!
Slowly he came out of the elevator and stepped over to her. His sharp coal-black eyes bore into her hazel and terrified ones as his lips twisted into a sadistic grin.
"Finally, I found you," he chirped. "Sona."

(Zaid's POV)
The cold breeze from outside, blew some loose strands of her hair as I kept watching everything with adoration.
She looks so peaceful while being unconscious. Her closed eyes, lips slightly parted as she breaths in and out. But the best thing I love about her unconsciousness is that she becomes helpless in that state. Being unconscious she doesn't deny my touch and quietly accepts everything.
That's the best thing.
Her unconsciousness looks so welcoming. I can do anything to her.
Anything.
I shifted in my seat and wrapped my arms around her, squeezing her more into my embrace.
Her body felt cold. Her face was smeared with blood along with her hands and nightgown.
"Hold on a little more. We will reach home soon," I mumbled and pecked on her forehead, then on her closed eyelids and at last on her soft lips.
Finding her wasn't much hard. I just had to find her staying whereabouts - that I effortlessly did because the hotel in which she was staying is mine.
I chuckled humorously, recalling the sight of her terrified expressions. I didn't know that hand would scare her to this extent. Actually, didn't want to scare her. I just wanted to let her know that the moment she escaped, she chose her path to be a bloodbath.
She should know that if she ever escaped from me, blood will always cover her path. I will kill every person who will try to come between us, who will try to help her.
I will kill them. It's my oath.....
