There were two races that ruled over the earth.
Humans and monsters.
Until one day, when a monster insulted a mages love for scarves.
The mage then cast a curse on all monster kind.
If any monster didn't wear a scarf, a scar would appear on them and grow larger the longer they went without a scarf.
After several monsters almost lost thier lives due to this curse, they wanted revenge against the caster.
So the monsters attacked the mage,  they had planned to kill them but they survived.
After hearing about what the monsters had done, the human leaders gathered their armies and went to war against the monsters.
Due to the curse giving the humans an immediate advantage, the humans won, and seven mages trapped the remaining monsters underground with a spell.

Thats what happened, or a least...Thats the story everyone was told.
