scandal. 01

"Then it's a deal, Mr. President." I said as I extended my hand to shake his.

"Oh please, just call me Mr. Kim." he said, as our hands joined I felt a chill run through my body as we stared into each other's eyes, refusing to lose this staring contest. His eyes darkened and a faint smirk made it's way to his lips, I turned away from the embarrassment.

I felt his low chuckle vibrate through his body as our hands were still conjoined, I softly released my hand from his then I nervously straightened my dress and pushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

"I hope we can get along, Ms. Boulevard." he said staring deeply into my eyes.

Oh what have I gotten myself into...

My heels made noise as I walked on the marbled floor of the hallway, I made my way outside on the courtyard to meet the other guests, I was invited to the launch party of the campaign of one of the presidential candidates, Governor Kim Namjoon's.

He was one of the strongest candidates, as his intelligence and tenacity helped him get the top votes, he was quickly becoming everyone's favorite, with his handsome looks and charismatic personality, he had it all. Not just because he came from a prestigious family and had a rich background, but, because he had a good wife and a tragic backstory.

"Miss Boulevard!" I heard my name getting called, a reporter.

"Miss Boulevard you look stunning today! How are you enjoying the launch party so far?"

Who let her in? I just got here, but I couldn't say something like that. I put on my fake smile, showing all my teeth and raising my cheekbones as high as I could.

"Thank you, sweetheart! The launch is great, I hope it goes well for Mr. Kim as well." I said.

"He's the strongest candidate right now, do you think he will win the elections?" she asked almost shoving the mic in my face in the process, I pushed the mic away a bit and smiled calmly.

"Um- we'll have to see, I don't take anyone's side." I said briefly.

"Thank you, Miss Boulevard, we'll see you again tonight then!"

She said with the widest smile, I smiled back, turning my back and walking to one of the tables, I saw my name written on one of the papers, I sat down and placed my handbag on the table, taking a glass of champagne from a passing server's tray.

I sighed, taking small sip from the bitter drink as I looked around, people dressed in luxury brands from head to toe, men in black ties and suits and women in colorful scarfs and dresses, with shoes that match and adorned hairs, not leaving space for their neck to get light as they were covered in diamonds and pearls. Half of the women here were married, I was the other half, with the ones that weren't married.

The bustling sounds and cheers erupt, I raised my head from the glass to look, as I saw a tall man with pushed back black hair, round glasses resting on his nose bridge, his dark blue suit with a white dress shirt underneath complimented his tan skin, as his sleeves were rolled up to his elbow, and he only had his best on, his suit jacket hanging front his two fingers.

He had a wide grin on his face, one glass holding a champagne glass the other holding a spoon. He hit the spoon of the glass a few times, getting the attention of the guests.

"I would like to start with thanking everyone who came here today, and thanks to everyone supporting me. Secondly-..." his deep voice sang from the platform.

At some point I stopped listening, as I've gone to many campaign launch parties and they all had the same speech. I got up from the table after I heard cheers and claps erupt again after the tall man finished his speech.

He got down from the platform to talk to everyone, I made my way to him, mixing myself in the crowd he was talking with.

"Mr. Kim." I greeted with a small smile.

He turned his head to me, and I could finally see his face and body from up close, his dark brown eyes, thick silver and light hair all mixed perfectly together on his tan skin, thick arms and a prominent chest, he had a smile on his face that emphasized his dimples. His eyes turned into two crescent moons as he looked at me.

"Miss Boulevard, I'm glad you came. You look stunning." he said as he took my hand and placed a soft kiss on the back, a way of greeting women by these flirtatious men you meet at every party.
Ugh. And this man was married.
He looked at me through his lashes, a strand of hair falling on to his forehead, he pushed it back with the other hand, still holding my right hand in his.

"Oh, you're to kind Mr. Kim. Thank you for inviting me, I hope the campaign goes well." I said with a soft smile, getting a chuckle from him.

"Namjoon!" I heard someone calling out his name, "I'm sorry but my friends are calling me, I would love to talk to you another time, Miss." he said, giving my hand a soft squeeze before he turned around to got to his friends.

A month has passed since the party and Governor Kim Namjoon has now become President Kim Namjoon. Everyone saw that coming, as he was the best candidate out of all the others.

Solana walked through the halls of the Blue House, she was summoned for a meeting, they didn't share that much information about it, the only thing that she knew was that the newly elected president requested this.

She stood infront of the big door, the door to the president's office. She knocked a few times, receiving a 'come in' from the inside.
She opened the door, looking around the big office she saw: old style paintings, vases, a desk in the middle of the office with stacks of paperwork, a round coffee table with two big red sofas around in a corner. She nervously tapped her sock covered feet on the floor as she waited for the man to say something.

(visual, a but bigger with a desk in the middle; I couldn't find a good pic.)

"Good morning Mr. President." she said with a polite smile.

"Please have a seat." the man who stood infront of her, a few buttons of his shirt unbuttoned and his sleeves rolled up said as he pushed his newly dyed jet black hair back from his face.

She sat on the red sofa, the soft material dipping under her weight, it was soft almost making her sink. "I'm sorry if I contacted you at such an early hour, I just wanted to discuss a few things."

She tilted her head slightly, waiting for the man to explain why she was summoned. "It's nothing, I'm always available, sir." she said.

"I'll get to the point, I' ve seen how you work and I admire you a lot, you're helped many people, you opened your own law firm, you've done things even the CIA can't do, and you've become a successful business woman. I wanted to ask if-" he said, taking a small breath before continuing.

"You would like to work with me." he said.

"For what sir? Why would you need my help?" she asked confused.

"I need someone capable to help me, now that I've become president I have a lot on my mind. So I wanted to ask you, someone who has worked with people like me, someone who is capable, someone who can fix things."

"I don't understand, what kind of situation am I supposed to help you with, sir?" she asked again even more confused.

"Be my personal assistant." he finally said. Solana stared at the man, who was leaning forward, his legs spread and fingers intertwined infront of him.

"I'm sorry, but..." "No." Solana said with an apologetic smile.

"May I ask why not?" he asked, stunned.

"Well, I also have a lot on my mind, I run a law firm, I'm a lawyer myself, I can't run between work and the Blue House, listen- I fix things, for myself, I don't work for others. And the job of an assistant is just not for me." she said with a sigh.

"But this is a once in a lifetime proposal-"the president said.

"I know." the woman glanced at her watch, she had a case in an hour and she had to revise the information before meeting the client and going into court. "I'm sorry sir, but I have to go now, I have a case to win." she said before getting up from the sofa, she already missed the feeling of sitting on such a soft seat.

She made her way to the door, hesitating to open it.

"Wait." the man said behind her, she felt tingles run through her body as he placed his hand on hers with his hard chest pressed on her back and his breath fanning the side of her neck, she tuned around, having to look up as he was much taller than her.

"Let's make a deal." that piqued her interest.

Why was he so determined to get her to work for him?

"I know you're looking for someone, your brother. I'll help you if you work for me." he said.

"How do you know?" Solana asked as her eyebrows knitted together, as she started to get angry, even if he was the president of the country he had no right to pry into her personal life.

"I'm sorry, but who are you to look into my personal life? Listen, I don't care if you're the president, but you shouldn't- you shouldn't look into my personal life without my consent." she said, her chest puffed up from all the anger she was feeling, she couldn't believe that she was yelling at the president of the country she lives in. That's something that no one would dare doing.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to know more about you. I have to confess, I'm really desperate. I didn't mean to look into your personal life, If you could forgive me. I'm- just please help me this time, I'll do anything."

Solana stood there shocked, she tried to ignore the first words the man said, "Tell me why it would benefit me to work for you. "

"Because I can help you, I'll help you find him, you've been looking for him for years right? I'm the president I can find him for you, you just need to work for me; you can still run your law firm, you can still do the things you do all the time; just take this as a part-time job." he said, softly caressing her hand with his thumb.

It wasn't a bad deal, with his help she would be able to know what happend to her brother and maybe find him. After he went missing as a kid, she never lost hope, she wanted to find him at all costs.

"Alright, fine." she said defeated. She saw a light flash in the man's eyes after she said that, he smiled widely showing off his dimples.

"Then it's a deal, Mr. President." she said as she extended my hand to shake his.

"Oh please, just call me Mr. Kim." he said, as their hands joined once again she felt a chill run through her body as they stared into each other's eyes, refusing to lose this staring contest. His eyes darkened and a faint smirk made it's way to his lips, she turned away from the embarrassment.

She felt his low chuckle vibrate through his body as their hands were still conjoined, the woman softly released her hand from his then nervously straightened her dress and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I hope we can get along, Ms. Boulevard." he said staring deeply into my eyes.

Oh what have I gotten myself into...
