Chapter two: The West wing

Later on, The entrance ceremony started, and all students were lined up in their classes.

I could barely concentrate during the entrance ceremony, nor listen when the new teachers were introducing themselves. All I could think about was that mysterious guy from underneath the Sakura tree. Who was he? I looked over from all angles, examining the faces in the crowd. He wasn't there. The closest thing I got to someone looking like him was a white haired girl with her hair tied up into a bun and side bangs, covering her right eye, revealing her left one to be cyan. Maybe she was his little sister? I'll ask her later.

It was around 8:40 when the ceremony ended, and everyone rushed to their classes. I didn't know where mine were, I'll ask Hide.

I spotted his yellow hair in the crowd, and I was just about to rush over to him when I saw the familiar white side bangs somewhere in the crowd, I swam over, careful to to not knock anyone off their feet.

I finally caught up with her, only mere meters from arm distance. Only thing separating us was the myriad of people rushing to classes like a stampede. The girl calmly walked over to the side of the building, only to see that she was walking towards a boy with spiky lilac hair and a earring on his left earlobe. His top two buttons were unbuttoned, revealing a little bit of his chest. One thing for sure, he had the same eyes.

"Hey-"

'Um...' She glanced over at me before I could continue, and so did the boy.

'I'm Senritsu Kotone, and I'm new, I just need help finding my classes, Do... You know where class 3-B is? Sorry for bothering you.' I apologised, bowing my head In apology.

"Oh, it's nothing, here, I'm in the same class, Follow me." The girl smiled a warm smiled which contrasted her winter-like colour pallette."

'Anyways, see you later.' She waved at the boy she was talking to, and he waved back, smiling an equally warm smile.

The girl and I were strolling through the crowd, her glancing back at me several times to make sure I was still following her.

A couple flights of stairs and corridors, later, in the middle of the corridor, was a classroom saying: 3年B組

"Theeeere we go." She giggled as she turned towards me and gestured for me to follow her.

"So, I'm Izumi Yukiko by the way."

'Her name matches her colour pallette.' I thought to myself.

(Izumi = Fountain, Yukiko = Snow Child)

'Yukiko, do you by any chance have a brother?' I asked her. I needed answers. And Hide is probably gonna laugh at me the moment I mention a apparition of a white haired schoolboy.

"Yeah, he was that guy I was talking to. His name's Izumi Mondo."

'A family with water-like names.' I thought to myself.

(Mondo = master water)

'That's your... Only brother?'

"Yep."

'Huh, because when I arrived at the school, I saw this boy staring at me from underneath the Sakura tree, and I thought that he was your older brother- THERE HE IS!'

Yukiko immediately looked over at where I was looking. The boy was standing in the middle of the classroom, glaring back at me with those same eyes. His face stayed emotionless, like ice. Except Yukiko couldn't see anything.

"Huh? Where? Listen, haha, very funny, jokes like that don't work on me."

I moment she said that, I had a feeling that If I had a mirror, the look on my face will be priceless.

'I think I might be going crazy.' I mumbled to myself. The moment I stopped mumbling, he disappeared. Like an apparition or a figment of my imagination that never existed. I walked over to the board, writing my name down.

Period 2, we had maths. I never really liked it to be honest, only thing that was bringing my average score down. And the entrance exam was 20% maths! How the heck was I supposed to know the volume of 18 cubes together in the shape of a spiderweb with each cube having the measurements of 3.98x?

"Excuse me, Yukiko?" I asked, tapping on her shoulder. Between periods, we had ten minutes spare time before our next class began. What people did during these ten minutes varied, some did homework some talked to friends, the list goes on and on.

"I need to go to the bathroom, can you please take me there? Sorry, this school's so big, I might need some time getting used to this place..."

'It's fine! Don't worry, I was like that when I was a first year, follow me.'

Heck, this place was making me dizzy, we turned several corners, went up a tiny flight of stairs, went past clubrooms and past a door leading to a part of the school that's taped off with Danger signs and do not enter signs all over the place-

Wait.

Scroll back a moment.

I wasn't even following Yukiko anymore. I was just staring at the boarded door, covered in warning signs so that not even a little of that white door could be seen. All of it was warning people to not come any closer. Like a monster was behind it.

"Kotone! Come on!" Yukiko yelled from across the hallway.

'Yukiko... What's...'

"Oh, that? Well, I don't really know how to explain this... but..."

'Go on, I'm listening.'

"So, that's the west wing, our classroom used to be there, but it moved. Here's the thing, a student at our school went missing several months ago, and then students reported some... paranormal activity... in the west wing. They say that there were some apparitions, disembodied voices and objects moving by themselves. It started off like some three year old immature boy was playing pranks, but slowly, it all got creepier and creepier, up until one student went into the west wing and... he... never came out."

'What?'

"That was when the school decided to close the west wing, it's scheduled for demolition next month."

'So that's what sakura was talking about, The West Wing...' I thought, staring at the door. Surprisingly enough, despite the fact that the corridor was well lit, the area around that door still gave off a dark aura that made me feel uneasy.

'What's more, some students have reported the same ghostly apparition appearing outside of the west wing, and that's usually followed by another disappearance, whether it's of a single person or a group. And it's just what he looks like that freaks people out... They've started calling him 白で 少年 because of that. '

"What does he look like?"

'His name's Yoshiro.'

'And his hair and eyes are both the colour of snow.'

3年B組- Year three class B

白で少年- Boy in white
