Chapter 6

Sayori's POV
Its Friday and it has been a day since MC had chosen Yuri for the festival.
-flashback on Thursday-
MC's POV
"Why do you ask Sayori?" I questioned. Sayori just smiled and cheerfully said," because I wanted to see how well you and the others were getting along!" She smiled and I smile back. "Thanks for concerning Sayori." I replied. "Of course! If I don't, you'll become a NEET without friends!" She said. I just smiled and continue walking to school.
-at the end of the day because author-chan is lazy-
I pack up and head to the literature club room.
________Dialogue play thing_______
MC: Sorry I'm late everyone!
Natsuki: Ugh, can't believe I have to bake cupcakes alone!
Yuri: Natsuki, you were the one who wanted to do it independently
MC: are we still fighting about this?
Yuri & Nat.: YES
Monika: sorry I'm late again, I had to practice piano
MC: you play piano?
Monika: yeah, but I'm not good like, AT ALL!
MC: cool! You'll have to play for me someday!
Monika: I will!

Mc's POV
I then realize Sayori is nowhere to be seen. Then a few minutes later, she burst in huffing. "S-sorry...*huff* I'm late" she said barely making words out of her heavy breathing. "Ah! Sayori! Glad you made it!" Monika chirped cheerfully. We then began sharing poems and I went to Yuri first this time.
________Yuri's poem_________
It happened in the dead of night while I was slicing bread for a guilty snack.
My attention was caught by the scuttering of a raccoon outside my window.
That was, I believe, the first time I noticed my strange tendencies as an unordinary human.
I gave the raccoon a piece of bread, my subconscious well aware of the consequences.
Well aware that a raccoon that is fed will always come back for more.
The enticing beauty of my cutting knife was the symptom.
The bread, my hungry curiosity.
The raccoon, an urge.

The moon increments its phase and reflects that much more light off of my cutting knife.
The very same light that glistens in the eyes of my raccoon friend.
I slice the bread, fresh and soft. The raccoon becomes excited.
Or perhaps I'm merely projecting my emotions onto the newly-satisfied animal.

The raccoon has taken to following me.
You could say that we've gotten quite used to each other.
The raccoon becomes hungry more and more frequently, so my bread is always handy.
Every time I brandish my cutting knife, the raccoon shows me its excitement.
A rush of blood. Classic Pavlovian conditioning. I slice the bread.
And I feed myself again.

(Still) MC's POV
Yuri's poems were always quite descriptive and meaningful. This one though, was both metaphorically and literately. Yuri smiles a shy smile and shyly says," do you like it?" I nod my head and she seemed to light up. "I'm really glad you do!" She cheerfully said. "Alright, we have 5 minutes before our meeting is over." Monika announced. I decided to talk to Sayori during the five minutes. But when I reach her desk, she wasn't happy and cheerful... she looked, gloomy, sad and emotionless as if a rain cloud had possessed her. "Sayori? Is everything alright?" I asked full of concern. She looked up to me and smiled through a pained expression. "I'm ok MC! Everything is daijobu!" She said. "I'm going home early, I don't feel well." She said. And with that, she left...well one thing to look forward to is Yuri Coming over. (A/N DIRTY MINDS BACK OFF!! SOME INNOCENTS ARE READING THIS!) that's one thing to look forward to.

A/n
Don't worry, I'm gonna skip the part where they hang out. But I PROMISE they didn't do anything...umm...funny
