WARNING: LEICO AHEAD

Nico didn't feel sad. He felt empty, incomplete and other more synonyms to not full.

Sure they won the war but he felt gruesome sadness.

As cruel mother earth went back to nap time, the Seven weren't the seven anymore.

Just a few minutes ago Nico and Reyna brought back the huge as styx statue of Athena to CHB. With the help of Hades and Bellona, they were quickly transported to the final battle, fully reloaded and ready to fight.

They had arrived but they were too late.

Piper was stabbed in the gut but still doing good, Hazel was unconcious but still alive. All the remaining monsters were dust thanks to Annabeth, Piper and Leo.

Gaea was the only one left.

Percy, Jason, Annabeth, Frank and Leo were tired. Tired as Hades.

Nico and Reyna ran out to help them but Leo had a different idea.

Leo charged forward like a fireball. Exactly hitting Gaea in the chest.

The remaining seven along with Nico and Reyna were frozen by Leo's sudden actions.

Gaea screamed, as Leo exhaustedly fell to the ground.

Leo was smiling to himself, still laying in a starfish position. The Seven were happy. They had won. The prophecy was fulfilled. But they rejoiced too soon.

At the last minute Queen Dirt Face picked up a sword, Polybotes' sword to be in fact, from the ground and stabbed Leo, who wasn't alert and didn't move from the ground.

Nico was blinded with anger, sorrow and boiling hatred. He struck Mother Earth with a dark black storm of shadows. He stabbed the ground, deep, to emphasize how much he truly despised her.

Gaea went back to sleepy time. For real. Nico quickly rushed over to Leo right after attacking Empress Dirt Bag.

Nico searched for a pulse, warmth, anything to signify Leo was alive but no.

Something broke in Nico and it was his heart. He thought he had time but he actually didn't.

Nico slowly brought Leo's cold, bloody and mostly lifeless body near him. He hugged Leo's body tighter every minute as if it would bring the said Repair boy back.

Everything was silent except Nico's small sobs.

Piper sobbed onto Jason regardless of her stomach wound still bleeding. Jason hugged her back finally remembering what it felt like to lose someone so close to you.

Annabeth, who had gotten quite close to the mechanic, buried her head in Percy's chest. Her heart couldn't take much more pain, it already took too much from the Titan war and This war. Percy regretted not trusting and blaming the son of Hephaestus at first. Percy actually liked the prescence of the funny and energetic grease monkey. Percy quickly wiped the tears that fell on his face, only to be replaced by new ones.

Hazel, who was finally awake and was aware of her surroundings, hugged Frank and cried silently. The never ending tears falling from her small innocent face. Her last remembrance of Sammy gone forever. Frank actually missed the Laidback and Sassy aura of the small demigod. He actually liked Leo as a friend but was too shy to say it. Tears welled up in his eyes but he wouldn't let them fall.

Reyna kept her Poker Face on though her eyes say otherwise. In her deep pools of brown, You would see Guilt, Regret and Grief.

Guilt and Regret for when he blew up New Rome, she didn't let him explain which resulted in a war.

Grief for losing another person added to her small family.

The Seven including Reyna formed a circled around Nico and Leo's body.

Nico laid Leo on his lap as he kneeled but countinued to hold Leo's cold hand tightly.

The small italian couldn't hold back his sobbing. His tears fell on Leo's pale and still face.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you" Nico sang.

Nico looked at Leo, refusing to believe he actually died. That hot (no pun intended), energetic, hispanic elf actually went cold and lifeless.

"I'll be the one, if you want me to"

Nico thought if he gave him time, He could tell him what he wanted to say. Even though everynight on the Argo II they would talk about the most random stuff. Nico thought that he would've been the one for Leo, if he had time.

"Anywhere I would've followed you"

Nico remembered the night when he promised Leo that after the war, he would take Leo anywhere he wanted to be.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you"

Nico was waiting for Leo to say the word, say the word that he was gone. To say that Nico must forget about him.

"And I am feeling so small, It was over my head, I know nothing at all"

Nico was so distracted by the war and surviving it that he forgot about Leo and how reckless he was and without Leo, Nico felt so small, so alone, so empty, so worthless, and so stupid.

"And I will stumble and fall

I'm still learning to love

Just starting to crawl" He caressed Leo's face.

Nico knows without Leo his life would go downhill. Nico finally learned how to truly love, He loves Leo and he just won't admit it. He thought that he needed to wait a little longer. He was still experiencing his first taste of love but before his love could grow into something bigger, it ended.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you

I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you"

Nico lied to himself that Leo was alive and this was just a horrible nightmare. Nico blamed himself that he didn't save Leo in time.

"Anywhere I would've followed you

Say something, I'm giving up on you"

Nico believed that Leo was still alive and waiting for Nico to fulfill his promise to take him anywhere he wanted to.

"And I will swallow my pride

You're the one that I love

And I'm saying goodbye"

Nico would tell everyone that he loves Leo despite his pride and reputation but now he's saying goodbye. Goodbye to the love of his life.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you"

One message from Leo is the only thing Nico needs. Just for Leo to say "I'm gone please move on with your life without me" is what Nico wanted to hear. Then he would listen.

"And I'm sorry that I couldn't get to you"

Nico wanted to say sorry. Sorry for being so slow and stupid. For not stopping Gaea in time.

"And anywhere I would've followed you"

Anywhere. Nico was ready to go anywhere with Leo but now he can't.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you"

All Nico needed was for Leo to say it.

"Say something, I'm giving up on you"

Nico would never give up unless Leo said so...

"Say something..."

Nico was sobbing,waiting for Leo to say it.

The Gods of Olympus appeared right behind them. They all had the aura of sadness around them. But the worst was Hephaestus and Aphrodite.

Aphrodite was sobbing in Hephaestus' arms. She wouldn't admit it but she loved her husband even though he was ugly. She was always jealous if he had any demigod children but she had liked this Leo kid. A lot. Now he was gone.

Hephaestus didn't like favoritism but he did have a favorite among his children. Now he died. Died for them to live on. Hephaestus thought it was unfair that he couldn't help his son in battle. Unfair that they had given their problems to their children.

Hephaestus and Aphrodite walked closer to Nico. They hugged Nico, who was still hugging Leo.

The campfire was dead black. The sky *cough*zeus*cough* was as gloomy as Nico, as if it was grieving as well.

Nico Di Angelo was sitting in the shadowy corner as usual. In front was Chiron saying a speech about Leo's bravery and Sacrifice. Jake Mason and Nyssa ,who were close to the Mechanic, were holding a shroud. A shroud to a son of Hephaestus.

By this time it was Jason and Piper saying a speech about Leo. Piper couldn't stop the flow of her tears. Jason had his head hung down low. But Nico couldn't care less, he was intent on staring at the shroud of his first true love.

They burned his shroud. People dispersed. Nico was left alone by the ashes of the shroud of the hispanic elf.

He kneeled by the ashes.

"This is just some horrible nightmare right Leo? I just need to wake up and you'll be there worried cause I screamed in my sleep again" He said tears welling up in his eyes.

He stood up and brushed himself off. He walked away but for once not looking back.
