Nico was about to finish waiting. It had already been years since Leo finished college and moved in New Rome and today was what Nico felt as his last day.

Seven years ago, Leo had turned 20 and moved out to New Rome.

Six years ago, Leo had married his best friend, Bianca.

Four years ago, they had twins, a boy and a girl named Ashley and Ken.

Two years ago, Nico had collapsed during his class with the new campers and found out his heart was to weak to handle anymore of his usual camp activities.

Since then the 41-year old italian has never seen Leo. Seven years ago, when he left their house by the border. Leo had his own life. He rarely visited Nico. He only invited Nico to his wedding and the day his kids were born. Only those two days. He didn't even visit on Nico's birthday! Nico thought Leo needed him. Leo didn't want the italian to leave but why did he leave?

But whatever Nico has been fine alone. He rarely moved. He ate pomegrante seeds and on his condition, he might weaken more.

Nico knew his wait for this day will finally end. Today was the day it will all end for him.

His heart was now beating weakly. He couldn't even feel it beat anymore though he knew it was still beating. It was getting harder to breathe for him, every second.

He layed down on his bed, fully knowing he'd see Thanatos today.

Today, Leo would never need to worry about him....if he ever did.

Today, he would be gone for good.

Today, All the pressure on him would be gone.

Today was the day his demigod heart would stop beating.

He just looked up at the ceiling of this small cabin. Where Nico had tried to get over his true love, Leo Valdez's death. Where Leo his adopted sibling grew up. Where Nico would die.

He smiled. Just right at the moment he closed his eyes and his heart fully stopped beating.
