Nico was still waiting. He was still waiting for the love of his life. Five years ago, he was thirteen and in love. Five years ago on this very day his first love had passed away.

The bunker was back to not being used. It brought back too many memories of the said mechanic so of course Why would Nico be there?

August 1 brought back too many memories. Nico stood up from the spot he was sitting on......The mast of Argo II. He and Leo used to sit here five years ago before he.....sacrificed himself.

Before Nico could dwell back on the memories, he shadow-travelled to the place that doesn't even remind him one bit of Leo.

He was greeted by the cool air of modern aircon. He even let a small smile show. He was back here. Back at Mcdonalds.

He bought his usual happy meal which kind of freaked out the cashier. "I mean what eighteen year old guy in the right mind buys a happy meal for himself? This guy in a black aviators jacket"  Nico thought. His aviators jacket grew small for him, in fact it fit him just right in this age back five years ago this jacket was too big for him.

As soon as he exited the small fast food chain, a kid about five years old ran into him.

The kid hugged Nico's legs even though the kid was quite tall but of course Nico was taller now. Heck he was even taller than Percy and Jason.

"Help"  The kid had mustered to say brokenly. "I wonder if I sounded like this six years ago"  Nico thought.

He wondered what had made this kid sound that helpless.

"Hey dude the kid's over there!!" Some guy shrieked. Hearing the guy's voice, the kid's grip tightened.

In a minute two buff guys were on either Nico's right or left. Both had dragon tatoos decorating their arms. The one on the right had a purple mohawk, that didn't suit him. The one on the left was bald and had a nasty scar under an eye patch.

Nico glared at them.

"What do you want?"  He said.

"The kid. Give him to us"  Guy-with-the-mohawk-that-doesn't-suit-me said.

"What if I say no?"

"You'll regret it"

Mr. Oooh-Where-did-you-get-that-scar-on-your-eye lunged toward them. Nico pushed the kid behind him and let the shadows give him an aura so deadly that one touch is all you need to relive all your deepest fears.

Nasty eye-scar froze in mid-lunge. The shadowy aura got to him before he could stop.

"DUDLEY!! Y-YOU M-MONSTER!!"  Mohawk screamed and ran away

"Hah pathetic loser" Nico thought

He let the shadows run free and turned back to the kid who looked at him in awe.

"Awesome!!! I wonder if no..... you can't be one too.... are you a demigod too?" the kid asked excitedly

He gave the shush gesture and the kid's eyes widened and he nodded, giggling.

Nico took in the kid's appearance. The kid had tanned skin. Some what hispanic. Big brown curious eyes. Sharp features. Elvish pointy ears. Curly hair.......and that smile.

Nico paled but settled for a tiny smile.

"What's your name kiddo?" Nico asked.

"Leo! My name is Leonardo"  The kid beamed.

Nico had tears welling up in his eyes. Why wouldn't he anyway? This was Leo's reincarnation after all!

Nico hugged the kid tight. The kid tensed but soon returned the hug.

"What's your name sir?" 'Leo' asked after pulling away.

"Nicolas Di Angelo but call me Nico" Nico replied, truly happy after these long five years.

"Can you take me home with you?" 'Leo' asked, his big brown eyes staring up at him.

"Aren't your parents worried about you?" Nico forced out. He had got his Leo back now he needs to give him back.

The kid, Leo, looked down the moment Nico asked. Leo's brown eyes filled with sadness and grief.

"My mom.....passed away.......a month ago....my dad.....never met him......but my mom said he was out there as a messenger of some powerful people" He said.

Nico nodded, understanding.

"Fine I'll take you with me" Nico said, standing up motioning Leo to follow. Leo happily obliged, skipping along.

They arrived at Half-Blood hill near Nico's new house near the camp borders.

Nico groaned as he misplaced his keys in his pockets again. After a minute, he finally found the spare key lying in a corn plant beside his door. He sighed in relief as it opened.

Nico turned around to call Leo in but froze when he realized that the said kid was no-where to be found.

Nico cursed under his breath. Leo shouldn't be far off after all it was just a matter of minutes.

A few minutes of walking did the trick. A scream filled Nico's ears. He had to admit his ear drums might have bled but meh, one way or another he would still need to go to the source of the scream.

He ran as fast as his converse could take him. He suddenly jumped to a stop when he realized he just entered camp.

Leo's not in here, is he? Oh Nico's in deep schist.

He found a screaming Piper side by side with a confused Jason infront of a very shocked Percy and a poker faced Annabeth  in front of a confused curly haired kid named Leo.

"Nico!" Leo shrieked the moment he saw Nico. He came running to Nico, hugging his legs as soon as he got to him.

"I'm so sorry I ran away because it just looked so cool here" Leo cried out still hugging Nico's legs.

Nico glanced at the four half-bloods in front of him. The three of them had their jaws dropped while one had her eye-brow raised.

Nico sighed, knowing that he needed to explain this big catastrophe.

He carried the five year old in his arms and gestured for the four to follow him.

They all arrived at Nico's house with a sleeping Leo in Nico's arms. He layed down Leo in his bed before facing the curious demigods waiting in his living room.

They all glared at him waiting for an explanation.

He sighed and explained the start of his day right from hanging out in the mast to seeing Leo running off to camp.

Piper who was in tears suddenly said "Glad to know Leo has sent you his message to move on with life".

Nico froze. He actually didn't realize he had accepted Leo's death when he accepted that this was Leo's reincarnation. Leo had sent the message he was waiting for. Leo actually said something to him.

The tears welled up in Nico's eyes just like how they did on the same day five years ago, the only difference was that now it was between happy and sad tears. He crumbled to the ground.

Piper, Jason, Percy and Annabeth left quietly sensing that Nico needed some time alone.

Nico was crying. He felt happy but at the same time sad. He stood up after a matter of minutes, smiling to himself. 

He was done waiting. He finally got what he asked for.

He entered his bedroom where there lay a sleeping Leo all bundled up in the covers. He stroked Leo's curly hair as the said kid slept.

"Thank you for saying something Leo. From now on you're my responsibilty. You'll be another sibling I'll take care of....... I love you" Nico said slowly falling asleep against the wall his right hand on Leo's sleeping head.
