chapter three,
fight with your fists

It was the big day, it was the day where the tournament would finally begin. Gunther had just announced the first competition known as the Captains War.

Juliette read above the board where four different groups were divided up with four teams on each.

Miyagi-Do was in group A along with Falchi Della Notte, Iron Dragons and Cobra Kai. They were also the first group to perform.

"Cobra Kai, of course." Daniel scoffed before walking away.

Each four teams gather into a corner each, the Miyagi-Do student bundle together to create a plan for the next competition.

"Let them come to us." Miguel says, "Protect the egg. Make sure Julie and Robby are safe."

Juliette nods as she intently listened to Miguel's words. "I can be on the front line." Robby speaks.

"No. You just stay back and stay focused." Miguel tells him which immediately makes Robby tense up.

"Why wouldn't I be focused?" He questions.

Miguel looks around at everyone before speaking back to Robby, "You did leave the hotel room last night.."

Juliette breathes trying to stop the chaos before it gets worse. "Stop. We don't need this negativity right now. We need to focus and be there for each other. This is about teamwork, so let's stick together in this."

Sam nods, "Julie's right, this competition is about trusting one another. So let's trust."

After the team had finished with their planning and motivational speeches, they knew it was soon time to start the competition.

Juliette had been trying to calm herself down and get into the mindset of a winner.

As the team still in their circle, the presenter announced that the competition had began. They only just looked up to see Tory rushes towards Miyagi-Do with her team mates following after.

"Protect the egg!" Demetri called out.

All of the group's were now fighting one another. Juliette kicks one of the Cobra Kai teammates, leading them to elimination.

She quickly spins around to reveal Tory who was eyeing her down, the girl runs towards her – fists ready and all.

As Julie glimpses at her surroundings and sees how Robby and her were the last to remain. It was all up to them to win.

Julie and Tory circled each other, each throwing kicks and dodges. The two girls were very much evenly matched, and both were determined fighters.

Julie knew she had to keep her cool and trust her skills. She took a deep breath and continued to focus on the fight.

Suddenly, Tory lunged forward with a swift kick, and Juliette barely managed to block it in time. As the two girls exchanged blows, they became locked in a fierce battle.

As the fight continued, the other Cobra Kai teammates were watching intently, they were shouting encouraging words.

Julie could feel the adrenaline coursing through her veins, but she didn't let it show on her face. She knew she had to stay composed and on top of her game.

"You're not going to win, Julesy." smirked Tory, as she attempted a roundhouse kick.

"I could say the same to you," Juliette retaliated, blocking the kick with ease. She quickly countered with a combination of kicks and punches.

Just as Juliette and Tory were eagerly fighting one another, the crowd erupted with disappointment. She looked beside her as she realized Robby had fallen. Which ultimately meant Miyagi-Do was eliminated from this match.

Julie's stomach dropped as she saw Robby on the ground. She knew they were now out of the competition.

She couldn't help but feel disappointed and frustrated, but she tried to keep it in check.

The Cobra Kai team cheered with victory, happy that they were able to take out Miyagi-Do. Tory walked over to Juliette, a smug look on her face. "Looks like I won this battle," she said with a smirk.

But, that wasn't the end for them.

They still had to verse the Iron Dragons. As the four members of the team moved out the way, which meant they had eliminated themselves – revealed the two captains.

A girl Juliette had seen on her feed, Zara Malik, an overconfident and scary influencer whose eyes could literally burn into your soul.

Then, stood next to her was the boy from the aquarium photoshoot. Even though she wasn't on the mat, she could feel the tension from watching on the sidelines.

Juliette's heart rate increased as she saw the two captains. She noticed how Zara's intense gaze was locked on her, and it made her feel uneasy. But, as her eyes moved to the boy standing next to Zara, her heart skipped a few beats.

She tried not to show her surprise, but she couldn't help but feel a flutter of emotions. On one hand, she was intimidated by Zara, but on the other hand, she was intrigued by the boy's presence. She knew she needed to keep her focus and not let her thoughts wander.

As the two captains face off, the whole arena goes quiet. Everyone is watching, the tension palpable in the air.

Julie feels a flicker of nervousness in her stomach, but she pushes it down. She knows she can't let her emotions get the better of her.

She watches on the sidelines as the Cobra Kai team talks smoothly amongst each other. Then, out of nowhere, they all begin to fight.

Julie winced at the moves they pulled on one another. "They're good." Devon adds, leaning near Juliette.

"I know." she agrees, even if she didn't want to admit it.

As the minutes ticked by, the match was still unfolding. Julie found herself glued to the fight, watching every move and counter move.

"They're better than good," Julie mutters to herself.

The girl beside her, Devon, nods in agreement. "The Iron Dragons are definitely not holding back. They want this win badly."

Indeed, the Iron Dragons were fighting with all they had. They were fast, strong and determined. But, the Cobra Kai team was just as fierce. They weren't going to go down without a fight.

As the battle raged on, it started to pick up pace, everyone's moves becoming more aggressive and intense.

Julie was watching intently, her heart racing faster and faster with each strike.

Finally, after an intense few minutes, the match was finished. As the audience roared with applause, the winner was announced.

Julie's unknowingly smiled as she realized that the Iron Dragon's had won. "Why are smiling? This is bad news!" Devon nudged her.

Juliette had to quickly come up with an excuse for the fact that she was smiling at the boy she'd been watching the entire time.

"I'm just happy that Cobra Kai finally lost something."
