Shiro's POV

Getting used to life on the Castle Of Lions is hard, mostly because everybody's scared of me, except for Katie, Coran, and Allura, Katie is just nice to me, and I don't know what Coran thinks about me.. but Allura just downright Hate's me, right now I'm on my way to Katie's room, I get to her door and..

Knock Knock Knock

"Come in!" Katie calls out

I open the door and walk in, making sure to duck so I don't hit my head,

"Hey Katie?" I ask

"Yes" she smiles

"How do I get everybody to like me" I ask sadly looking down with my ears pressed flat against my head

"Aw, Takashi, you don't have to be liked by everyone" she says with a caring smile

"I know but I still want to" I smile a little look up at her, suddenly my ears perk up, signaling that I have a idea

"Wait I have an idea! I'll see you later Katie!" I yell running out of her room leaving a confused Katie

I run to the kitchen to find Hunk, I'm going to make friends with everybody on this ship even if it kills me!

"Hunk?" I ask walking in

"Yes?" He asks

"Umm, I wanted to make peanut butter cookies" I say looking at him

"Oh, okay the kitchens all yours!" He smiles getting up to walk away

"Wait! I mean (I clear my throat) can you help me...?" I ask nervously, he seems to freeze when I say this but quickly recovers

"Yeah man! Of course!" He says with a big smile

"Thanks!" I say getting less and less nervous by the second

"We can use a recipe my Ma used to make for me" he says with a sad smile

"let me write down the ingredients" he says grabbing a piece of paper and a pen

(Here's the ingredients, it's actually a recipe I looked up online for this story)

For the Filling

1 c. Creamy peanut butter

1/2 c. Powdered sugar

For the cookies

1/2 c. Creamy Peanut Butter

1/2 c. (A stick) Butter, softened

1/2 c. Brown packed sugar

1/4 c. Granulated sugar, plus more for rolling the cookies in

1 Tsp. Pure vanilla extract

1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour

1/2 Tsp. Baking soda

1/2 Tsp. Kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Make filling: In a medium bowl, combine peanut butter and powdered sugar and mix until smooth. Scoop into small balls (about 1 1/2") and freeze until ready to use.




Make cookies: In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, butter, and sugars and beat with a hand mixer on medium until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined, then add flour, baking soda and salt and mix until just combined.



Scoop a heaping tablespoon of the cookie dough and flatten into a pancake-like circle. Place the frozen peanut butter ball on top. Bring the edges of the dough around the peanut butter ball and pinch the edges together to seal, adding more dough if necessary to cover the frozen peanut butter completely.




Roll stuffed cookie dough ball in sugar and place on baking sheet. Repeat until all dough is used, spacing the cookies about 2" apart.






Bake until the cookies are golden on the bottom,12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.




"Okay, go grab all these ingredients" Hunk says with a small smile

Time-Skip still Shiro's POV (Due to a very long hour of trying to find all of those ingredients)

Finally I found all those ingredients, I head back to the kitchen

"Hunk I found all the ingredients!" I yell walking into the kitchen

"Okay let's get started!" He says excitedly

Third Person POV (A/n because it's faster, and this is a long chapter for me)

First Hunk tells Shiro to mix 1 cup of peanut butter, with 1/2 a cup of powdered sugar in a bowl, Shiro being the Galra he is, somehow tripped, and spilled half of the bag of powdered sugar all over the floor and himself, causing a fit a laughter in the kitchen, finally Shiro mixed the two ingredients together to make the cookie filling

Next Hunk takes a cookie scoop, scoops up some filling and places it on a cookie sheet, next he throws it into the freezer, and now we have to make the cookie batter.. this is gonna be a long day..

First Hunk throws the butter into a bowl and turns the weird Altean oven to 375° And lines two large baking sheets with parchment paper

Shiro takes the peanut butter and pours it into the bowl, slipping on powdered sugar and slipping onto Hunk, causing both of them to fall over, getting covered in powdered sugar in the process

"Ow..." Hunk says, since a 9 foot tall giant just fell on top of him

"Sorry! Sorry!" Shiro yells quickly picking himself up

After about 10 minutes they got back to cooking, Shiro takes the sugar and very carefully, pours it into the bowl, it was a success he finally did something right! Or so he thought

"Hey guys!!" Lance yells at the top of his lungs, scaring Shiro and causing him to turn around quickly, his tail hits the bowl knocking it off the counter onto the floor..

"Oh come on!" Shiro yells out, at this point he has given up, he slowly lays down on the floor, making Powdered Sugar Angels, on the floor

"I'm sorry Shiro" Lance says with a sad smile

"It's fine, I'm just gonna live here now" Shiro says, still making Powdered Sugar Angels on the floor

"Hey man it's okay, we'll start over, it'll be fine!" Hunk says with a large smile

"Okay" Shiro says getting up

Let's just say after 1 hour of pain, they finally made the batter, Hunks pretty sure that Shiro dropped six eggs, just trying to put one egg into the bowl, they wrapped the filling in the cookie dough, covered them in sugar, and cooked it, finally after an agonizing 15 minutes the cookies.. were done.

Katie's POV

Hunk called everybody to the kitchen, I walk in and- wait that smell.. PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES! I run as fast as I can to the table and stuff a cookie in my mouth, I think I died and went to heaven

"Do you like them" Shiro asks tilting his head to the side like a cat

"Ye der amezin" I manage to squeak out, mouth full of cookies

"Yesssss" Shiro says punching the air

"We made them" Hunk says with a smile

I was gonna answer but I just can't, the cookies are to good so I just ignore everything and stuff my face with cookies

Hunk's POV (I bet you weren't expecting that)

Shiro pulls me into the halls

"Hunk" he says looking nervous as a feel

"Yes?" I ask

"Are we friends now?" He ask fidgeting with his tail

"Of course man! I just spent four painful hours in the kitchen baking cookies with you! We're buds!" I yell out losing the sense of nervousness

"Phew" he says with a smile
