The terrifying experience that Kasia had the other night has been long forgotten, she's just been trying to get through her days. It's mundane but it gives Kasia something to take her mind off of the mark that is on her arm. Mundane means going to work, which is where Kasia is now. She hasn't gotten any weird calls anymore so the two random instances have left her mind because she isn't worried about it.
Kasia blows a piece of hair out of her face as she writes in her journal, it was a slow day so Kasia hasn't been doing much except for greeting the few people that have come in. "Hey, can I talk to you?" Hameed says making Kasia turn her chair to see him stick his head around the wall, Kasia rolls back around to make sure the lobby is clear before nodding and standing up placing her journal in her bag on the floor. "What's up?" Kasia asks as Hameed closes the door to his office once she walks in.
"Has Dad spoken to you recently?" Hameed says calmly clasping his hands together and placing them on his desk. "Uh, no. I mean nothing out of the ordinary but the regular stuff he says like hi and I love you. Why?" Kasia looks at the chair and decides to take a seat, she can't help but feeling something was going on, and that something seemed bad.
Hameed sighs and shakes his head, he rubs his hands over his face before looking at Kasia and speaking. "A week or so ago, some blonde woman came to the house looking for you. They asked if that was the Jasani residence and when Dad said yes the woman asked if you lived there. When Dad said you didn't the woman said she was an old friend and wanted to catch up, but Dad didn't believe her so he sent her on her way." Kasia presses her lips together and leans back in the chair remembering a few days ago when she bumped into the blonde woman, Kasia's starting to feel like it wasn't an accident.
"Why didn't you tell me right when it happened?" Kasia asks looking at Hameed with a blank expression. "Dad said he was going to tell you that it happened but I guess he forgot or just didn't tell you so I decided to tell you because if someone is looking for you, you should know." Kasia nodded in agreement, Hameed is right. She should've known.
"Thank you for telling me," Kasia says as she scoots her chair back and stands up. "Where are you going?' Hameed asks watching her movements. "I'm taking the rest of the day off, I need some time to myself." Hameed frowns at her but nods and stands up, he walks towards the door and opens it for her letting her work through it. "Text me when you get home, I'll cover with Dad." Kasia absentmindedly nods as she packs her things in her bag. "You don't have to cover him, I don't really care honestly but yes, I will tell you when I get home."

Kasia hasn't been home that long but she was already settled on the couch watching 13 going on 30 while eating a pint of ice cream, she brings the spoon up to her mouth as she lets the ice cream slide down her throat, she coughs and places the little bit of pint left along with the spoon on the coffee table before running her fingers over the tender area where her mark was still there. As soon as she got home she jumped in the shower, which meant she spent an hour with soap and very hot water trying to get the mark off but of course, it didn't work.
She was getting ready to get up to grab another flavor of ice cream when the doorbell rang, she furrowed her brows and walked towards the door unlocking it and opening it to see a blonde-haired woman. "Hi, I know this might seem weird but you need to come with me." The woman says nervously bouncing on the balls of her feet. "No way, not after you stalk me and my family. Not a chance."
The woman looks behind her before turning back towards Kasia. "I know about that mark, I don't want to ask why it's mangled and messed up but I know people who have it. You have to come with me." The woman says starting to plead with Kasia.
Kasia sighs and runs her hand through her hair yanking when they catch on tangled curls, she steps aside and gestures for the woman to walk into the house. "What's your name?" Kasia asks crossing her arms to look at the woman. "Sonya Blade, I was a Soldier in the Special Forces which I shouldn't really tell you but it might help you trust me a little bit more." Sonya holds her hand out for Kasia to take but she does move her arms from the cross position. "It doesn't."
She motions for Sonya to follow her to her bedroom, there wasn't any way she was leaving a stranger alone in her house. "I'm going to grab a bag and put some clothes in it for a couple of days, I'm telling my friends and family. If I'm not back by then people will come looking." Sonya looks at Kasia sadly for a split second before nodding.
Kasia presses her lips together and lifts her bed with one hand as she grabs a bag under her bed, it was already stacked with the clothes that Kasia needed but she still needed to get the basics. "Why do you want me? Do you know how to remove the mark?" Kasia says loudly from her bathroom so Sonya can hear her from her place in the doorway of her room. "Sure can," Sonya says in an oddly chipper voice. "Good, I'm sick of this thing," Kasia says rubbing at her mark as she walks past Sonya towards the kitchen.
She grabs a notepad out of the drawer and writes a quick note saying what she told Sonya, grabbing on the side of her lip with her teeth she turns towards Sonya. "I'm ready," Kasia says in a shockingly quiet voice.
"Let's go."
