Mcs pov

I woke up outside my house. I felt confused until...

"heyyyyy!"sayori ran over to me waving her arms wildly. What Monika said in the matrix looking world suddenly came back to me.

This is all a game and the girls lives could be in danger.

"hey sayori" I waved nervously.

"hey are you doing ok mc? You look kinda pale" sayori said worriedly.

"yeah I'm fine. No need to worry about me" I said petting her head.

She looked confused at first but then gave me a bright smile. Suddenly my mind flashed to sayoris hanging body. I let her down. She's my best friend and I let her die!

"mc why are you crying!" sayori yelped. I touched my cheek and sure enough I was crying.

"sorry. I just feel like I haven't been a good friend to you" I muttered.

"what are you talking about? Your the greatest friend I could ever ask for!" she pulled me into a hug. I felt warm and safe.

I can't lose her again!

I pulled away and gave her a big smile "thanks sayori. How about we walk to school together?"

"ok sounds fun!" she grinned.

We walked side by side together talking about anything that came to mind.

"hey mc have you thought about any clubs you'd like to join?" sayori asked.

"yeah I thought of one" I smiled at her "how about the literature club?"
