Maddy found the Alpha in the pack hospital and she told him that about the fact that there were many faerie spells that could have caused it. The best shot that they had was to find Bruce and make him tell what spell he had put on Diana.

"How did you find this information?" Justin asked as he thought over what Maddy said.

"There was a book in the pack library with all this information but I don't know how much of it is true," Maddy said. She didn't want to tell anyone about Lila unless necessary even though she did trust Justin. The news would spread like fire and before you know it, some werewolf has attacked Lila.

Besides, Maddy hadn't told a complete lie either, she had just omitted a part of the truth. Lila had shown it to her via a book. With a grimace, Maddy realized that she was acting just like how a faerie would, twisting and turning the words to benefit them.

"We'll have a pack meeting in an hour and discuss things there," Justin informed Maddy.

Maddy nodded and left. She reached her house to find Leia, Xander, Alexa and Jeremy waiting for her. When they saw her, they all stared at her expectantly. "Well? What did Lila tell you?"

Maddy filled them in too. Once she finished, Jeremy asked, "After finding out which spell Bruce cast on Diana, what do we do?"

"I guess we need to find a faerie who is willing to help us and have her find a cure or we need to find a cure. Not sure how we are going to do it but we'll figure it out when we reach there."

"And here I was, hoping that we would never have to see a faerie again," Alexa said glumly.

"On the brighter side, Lila confirmed that the coma isn't fatal. Once we figure out the counter spell, everything will be back to normal," Maddy said.

"Uno, anyone?" Leia asked, producing a pack of Uno cards.

For the next hour the five of them played Uno and for that brief moment, everything seemed to be normal. Almost. Diana's injury and Bruce's escape had put a slight damper in everyone's mood.

They were halfway through their fourth game when Jeremy suddenly remembered that they were supposed to be at the pack meeting. The five of them ran to the pack meeting, or more like the others walked fast and Maddy ran to catch up with them, but whatever. They were five minutes late, something which Justin wasn't happy about, especially since Xander was going to be the next Alpha and couldn't afford to be late to a pack meeting.

They quickly took seats at the back and listened to the conversation that was going on. As far as Maddy could make out, Justin was taking suggestions from all the pack members on what to do regarding both, Diana and Bruce's situation.

The meeting went on for a whole three hours. Maddy's legs were numb by the time Justin gave the speech to conclude the meeting.

"I have listened to each and every one of your suggestions and have come to a decision," Justin said, his voice echoing in the room. "We know that Diana's situation isn't fatal and we need to get information out of Bruce to cure Diana. This is what I suggest. We strike against Bruce with all our effort. All along, we didn't know who the 'boss' was and even when I did find out, I held back, hoping that I could reason with him but he chose violence instead. He went after my daughter first, then my son and then my mate. I am not going to let him my pack away from me."

Maddy got chills hearing the speech. There was a show of hands for and against the suggestion. At the end, everyone decided to go ahead with Justin's decision.

As everyone was exiting the room, Leia suddenly started chuckled. Maddy glanced at Leia questioningly. "What happened?"

"This is so messed up," Leia said as she shook her head, chuckling to herself.

"What is messed up?" Jeremy asked with a frown.

"Don't you see? Bruce and Justin are reacting the exact same way. Bruce is attacking werewolves because of what werewolves did to his mate. He was even ready to hurt his best friend because of his mate. Isn't Justin doing the same thing? Bruce put Diana into a coma, and now Justin is ready to kill his best friend if necessary."

The five of them walked in silence, still processing that information.

"That is why when Justin asked Brue to stop, Bruce told him that he didn't understand the pain but he would soon. He was planning it all along," Maddy said in a daze.

"It's all about perspective. From the rogues' perspective, we are the villains. We are the ones who treated them like dirt and we are the ones who didn't care about whether they had proper facilities or not."

Maddy didn't know why they couldn't have gotten one of those pure evil kinds of villains. You know, the one who is completely evil and needs to be stopped or else they would destroy the world. Instead, they got the grey villain who is neither completely good nor completely bad. Then, she remembered that life loved to mess with you. It really do be like that sometimes.
