Epilogue
"Thanks but...I don't think that after everything that happened, we'll want to leave..."
I did not understand.
Why would they deny my offer?
"Lucian, we can help you but you must come with us before it is too late," I pleaded the blonde man who was currently tending to his lovers. He gazed at me with an unreadable expression before giving me a soft smile.
"It is indeed a great offer but I do not think you can do anything that will aid us," he stated and looked at the ship above the skies. "Thank you for your presence. It is a privilege to be of your acquaintance Mister Row Boat."
Can they not see the evident danger that was surrounding them?
Why would they remain in this planet that was causing them so much suffering? My system could not comprehend.
"My team is here, please, let us save you!" I begged Luscev once again.
My eyes went from his stern expression to the bodies of Caleb, Sevor, and Lucian's sibling. Lucian and his lovers were scooted closer together like they were only waiting for their turn to vanish. They looked satisfied already.
But they should not be!
They should not let such unfortunate events define how they should end. I believe that they deserve something much better. They deserve to live. They do not deserve to suffer in an uncaring world.
Why won't they let me save them?
I took Luscev's hand and then knelt in front of him. I cannot accept this. I will not have them waste away. If I cannot save this entire planet, I need to at least save the people who took care of me.
My ticker could not function properly from the thought of leaving Luscev.
"Aecha, ti si ot evael. Ew lliw ied ereh," Stugox, our team leader ordered me through our communication devices. He was already instructing me to return or else we would be involved in the fire.
"Please...come with us," I pleaded again.
Luscev's face scowled even further. I have expected him to snarl at me because of annoyance for he was always short-tempered when it came to me but I did not expect him to place his hand on top of my head and ruffle my hair.
A small grin occurred on his lips. "It's too late. It really is," he said. He looked at our ship and then back to me. "Go live," he told me and hoisted me up from my kneeling position.
"Aecha! Emoc no!" Hyuk Min shouted. I gave Luscev another pleading look and hoped that he will change his mind but he just gave me a shove.
"I said go you moron," he snapped. "Leave," he coldly stated.
I slowly walked back without breaking eye-contact with him. His eyes pierced through mine and it only made my ticker click faster. I felt the sore in my eyes as I continued to imprint his face in my memory.
Luscev's eyes softened and he sauntered towards me and whispered a few words. He had stated words that should be accepting. Those words should have been welcoming and an indication that we should stay together.
But those very words made me transport to our ship.
Maybe because it was a statement of plea. It was a statement that had a hidden meaning that I cannot decipher. Those weren't the words that I was after for but it had the same worth as "I accept you."
"I appreciate you..."
Hyuk Min rubbed my back as I looked at my hands. Why was my vision getting blurry? My ticker hurt.
"Era uy yako? (Are you okay?)" He asked.
Stugox bent down to look at my face. His stoic expression and his analyzing eyes observed me. He then rubbed his finger just below my eyes and then lowered his gaze.
"Od uy taw ot margorpre rouy sieromem?" Stugox asked. He brought out his index finger and had the tip of its skin withdrawn revealing a little bright electricity circulating on it.
I stopped his hand before it could touch my forehead and swayed my head in disapproval.
I want to remember them. I don't want my memories to be erased.
Stugox withdrew his hand and rose. "Ot etnalp Aecha (To planet Aecha,)" he ordered our youngest, Imsothy who was controlling the ship with our oldest, Hoest.
Hyuk Min looked at the window where Earth was still visible and while he did so, something trembled in my pocket. I slipped my hand in the compartment of my pants and was then bewildered.
This was the bug that I implanted under Lucian's skin.
"Ohh! Eht etnalp si rotating ngitator esiwkcolc!" he announced.
Earth was swiveling the other way.
How?
I did not know how I ended up falling to the ground. But when I did realize it, Hyuk Min was already calling Stugox and the others.
"Aecha!"
They kept calling my name and Hyun Ki was already showing his brutal side of slapping the side of my face and flipping his middle finger on my forehead which was supposed to be very agonizing.
But I felt nothing.
I was merely staring at them.
"Aecha!"
"Aecha!"
"Aecha!"
...
...
...
"IDIOOOOOOT!" Luscev's voice out-ruled them all and I was awakened from another dream. I have kept on dreaming this same scenario inside my head. Keeping this information must be really damaging my system.
I jolted from my sleeping position and I felt a whack behind my head. Luscev was staring down at me with murdering eyes.
"How long are you going to make me wait?" he snapped.
System loading...
"I apologize. It would seem that I had another dream," I explained to him. After hearing my explanation, Luscev's scowl lessened a bit.
"That dream again huh? I know you said that it's better if we don't know what happened but I'm really curious," Luscev drawled and turned around.
We were in the mother ship of the Paragons and I was to guide Luscev with his training of becoming one of us.
"What really happened during that day?" he asked. He turned his head to the side and his eyes waited for an answer.
It was really better if they didn't know. Some things were better left untold.
"You're really going to keep that to yourself huh?" he scoffed. "Fine, it looks like what happened was really unpleasant. I'll stop bugging you about it."
I nodded in agreement and rose to my feet. I looked at the circular window where planet Aecha was in clear view and smiled.
They were all safe now.
They finally got the happiness that they deserve.
"Let's go, I have to get home early. Slade dad is cooking," he told me. "Lucifer Uncle also asked me if he can apply as an instructor."
"You do know that while you're in training that you can't go home and do as you please?" I reminded him. "And I shall recommend him to the higher ups but he must also undergo training the same as you if he wants to be an instructor."
Luscev snorted and faced me with a smug grin. "He doesn't need to undergo training if he can just brainwash your higher ups."
"Brainw-"
"Forget it, forget what I said," Luscev cut me off. "Caleb dad is inviting you to dinner by the way."
They must be having a big feast. Stugox would want to tag along again since he really liked their cooked food. I still preferred to consume food by absorbing it through my skin but Stugox was fond of satisfying his mouth.
I would like to come along with them later but I had an appointment with the President of the Paragons.
"I apologize, I have to go-"
"Ayah insists," he cut me off again.
He was playing the Ayah game again. Every time I attempted to decline anything that his Ayah offered, Luscev would become extra upset with me. I cannot have that.
There was no helping it then.
I raised my fist for his fist to meet mine and Luscev gave it a stare before bumping my extended offer of trust.
"Expect me later," I assured him.
