Chapter Four
I awoke to the sound of tapping on my window. After a few confused moments I realized what it was; someone was throwing rocks at my window.
Who even does that anymore? and at three in the morning. Yeah... no. I tried to ignore it and fall back asleep but then I heard my door open.
"Go find out what that damned boy wants." Dean mumbled sleepily. "I can't sleep with that shit." and then he left. God, I love my parents.
I had fell asleep in leggings and a sports bra so I pulled on a Tegan and Sara shirt off my floor and made my way outside.
I saw his floppy blond hair and instantly knew who it was. "Azazel? what are you doing?"
He snapped his head over to where I was standing and dropped the pebble he was about to throw at my window. "Haven't you ever seen a movie? you're just supposed to talk to me through the window."
"Doesn't answer my question, pretty boy." I walked closer so I was now standing in front of him.
"I wanna take you somewhere. As an apology for my cousin."
I stared at him confused for a moment then it clicked. "He's your cousin?"
He took a couple steps backwards, "it looks like you're going to stab someone." He raised his hands in his odd calming gesture. "Hey, man, you can't pick your family."
"No, but you can viciously murder them." I mumbled and tried to relax. Of course the one time I meet a nice guy Crowley has to fuck things up.
"Hmmm, no... I'll leave that part to you."
I couldn't help but smile, "so you want to take me somewhere?"
He nodded over to his car. My dad had raised me right to recognize a nice car when I saw one. His blue Mustang looked to be only a few years old and I loved that color so much my heart seemed to melt.
"See something you like?" he chuckled as he held my door open for me.
"Hell, yeah!" I said as I got into the car. "and I'm a big girl. I can open doors myself."
"Girls," he shook his head as he got in his side. "If I open the door you cry feminist, if I don't you complain that I'm not a gentleman."
"Oh, I'm too feminist to function." I laughed. "So where are we going?" I looked up to my parents window and saw two figures holding each other and watching me leave. Right before we pulled out of the drive way I noticed the taller one, Dean, hold two thumbs up. I bet they're happy they got a small hint on my sexuality.
"Oh, you'll see." he grinned.
***
"Oh, baby Buddha." I gasped as I got out of the car. "It's amazing."
"Yeah, probably the only part of California that I miss." He pulled a blanket out of the trunk and a six pack of root beer in glass bottles.
"Root beer?"
"Well, I was planning on regular beer but was scared your dads would murder me if I drove you back after." he shrugged and hopped on the hood of the car.
"Good idea." I cuddled close to him on the hood and took one of the sodas.
We were sitting on a cliff that looked over the ocean. With the amount of stars out and the full moon reflecting of the water it was completely breath taking.
"It's beautiful..." I whispered.
"Almost as beautiful as you," he smiled sweetly at me and his strange yellowish eyes sparkled.
I leaned in to kiss him but stopped a centimeter from his lips. "That's so overused." I laughed and pulled away.
"You're different... I like it. You know what else I like? your shirt."
I gave him a confused look. "Tegan and Sara?"
"Yeah! They're like the hottest lesbians ever. Unless you're a lesbian because then you would definitely win that contest."
I burst into laughter. "That's the greatest pick up line ever!"
"But I really hope you're not a lesbian..." he leaned closer to me and I felt my heart race. "Because this would be very awkward."
And then he kissed me. Azazel Fucking Mali kissed me. On the lips. And didn't pull away in disgust.
He finally pulled away and he had a huge goofy smile on his face that made my heart melt almost as much as his car did.
After cuddling for a while longer in silence he said we should probably get back home.
When he pulled up to my house he stopped in front. I looked at the window and saw no lights on but noticed a slight twitch of the curtain and knew my dads would attack me for details the moment I walked in. Sometimes they could be worse than teenage girls.
"I had a great time." he smiled.
"Isn't that what the girl says?"
"You're so feminist I have to do the 'typical girl' things." He shrugged. "We should do this again sometime..."
"We'll see." I kissed him on the cheek and ran up to my front door.
