Chapter Eighteen
It was Sunday. Which meant a lot of ice cream and The Amazing Spider-Man because we all think Emma Stone is freaking hot. But it also was the night that I told Dean and Cas about what Azazel had done to me.
About halfway through the movie we paused it and went into the kitchen for sundae refills. And I thought it was either now or never.
"Hey, guys? I have something I need to talk about..." I pulled myself up to sit on the counter.
"What is it, angel?" Cas asked and Dean gave me a worried look.
I let out a deep breath and told them the whole story. By the end of it I was sobbing into Cas' shirt and Dean had shattered his beer bottle. Splashing all three of us with beer.
"I swear to fucking God!" Dean yelled as he paced back and forth, looking for something to clean up the beer. "If I ever see that boy again. I'm going to fucking kill him."
He finally found a towel and began to clean up the mess. "Daddy, you can't. He told me if I told anyone he would kill both of you." I hiccuped.
"Son of a bitch." Dean whispered angrily, a special talent of his, then got up and stormed up stairs.
"Angel. Angel, listen. Imma go calm your dad down before he does anything stupid. You stay here." he smoothed out my hair, trying to calm me down, and kissed my forehead before hurrying upstairs after Dean.
After about three minutes of sobbing alone on the kitchen counter I heard loud footsteps coming down the stairs and Cas yelling, "baby! Dean, baby, listen! Baby, please stop!" I could hear tears in his voice.
Soon enough they rounded the corner. Dean had murder in his eyes and Cas had tears falling from his. And Dean was holding his revolver and a box of bullets.
"Daddy!" I screamed. But he was in a different world and couldn't hear me. I jumped off the counter and began pulling on his arm as Ca was doing. We screamed "I need you, Daddy!" and "I need you, Dean!" at the same time. It finally seemed to look up at us.
Then he collapsed to the the floor and began to cry. I crawled into his lap and Cas wrapped his arms around us and repeatedly whispered, "I love you." to both of us.
"I feel like I failed..." Dean finally said.
I attempted to talk but I was hiccuping uncontrollably so Cas spoke for me. "Oh, Dean, you didn't fail anybody. You didn't know, you can't make this your fault. But you know what would make you fail her? if you shot the boy and ended up in jail. You aren't helping anyone behind bars."
Dean wrapped his arms tighter around me, "I love you so much, Dee. I'm so sorry I scared you like that. I just heard that he hurt my little girl and... an I just saw red. All I could think about was making him suffer."
"It's okay, daddy." I said between hiccups.
We heard loud footsteps on the tile and we all turned to see Uncle Sam standing there. "Well, aren't you guys an emotional bunch. So much for hating chick-flick moments, huh, Dean?"
Dean threw the towel he cleaned his beer up with at Sam, "shut up, bitch!"
"Jerk!" Sam retorted and we all laughed.
It finally felt like everything was coming back together.
