Chapter 10

Addison paced the room, how dare he say that he would turn her into the authorities! Joy was her daughter!
She picked up her cell and looked at the screen. It was cracked. Probably from it falling out of her hand when she was taken, she was surprised it didn't break or that someone didn't steal it.

She turned it on and went to the home page, four missed calls. As she went to her voicemails she listened.

"Hey Addy! Oh my word I just saw the news, are you okay? I want to fly up to see you and be with you during this time but Ben won't let me he's being a real jerk." Sally sighed,"Give me a call when you can. I've been praying that you find Joy or at least more information. I Love you Ad."

The voicemail was over so she clicked on the next.

"Addison Hart what on earth were you thinking??? I have been worried sick! I'm on my way to Clever right now'. Sit tight!"

Addison huffed.. Conner.

She quickly dialed his number.
Then looked at the bouquet of flowers that sat on the dresser in her room. She had slept for a little over an hour so the flowers must have been delivered then.

Conner didn't answer so she left a voicemail as she picked up the card and opened it. "Hey Conner don't even think about coming here. I don't need nor want your help-." Her words were stuck in her throat as she clutched the note.

Mother of Joy: attention! If you look for her you will die! If others look for her, they will die also! She's in a way better home with a way better family that ISNT broken apart. She has two parents, which is one more then she would Have if she was with you. And she is happy and free of the pain you would have put upon her. So stay out of it!!!!

She clutched the note and raced out of the room and ran to her nurse.

"Rachel!" She yelled as her nurse walked down the hallway. She turned around.

"Ma'am is there some thing you need?"

"Who delivered the flowers?"

"Oh aren't they lovely!"

"Who delivered them?"

"A woman and man with the cutest child."

"Description?"

"Oh the lady was tall and thin and had black short hair and the man was tall and bulky with blond hair and the little girl! Oh she was adorable!"

Addison ran back to her room and dialed Kam.
