F I F T E E N

We stand here, still wrapped in each other's arm. "Cole, as much as I love being in your arms, I think it's best if we find a way home." I try and reason for the tenth time. As the times before, his arms only tighten around me. Maybe we should stay like this for a few more minutes...

Cole groans. "I don't want to," The same response like the times before.

I nuzzle my face into his chest, inhaling his fresh scent of Axe and Laundry soap. "Me neither, but my dad..." I trail off, honestly not caring what my dad would say in this situation.

Once more he groans and finally releases me. "Fine," He grabs a hold of my hand and we walk out of the warehouse and down the deserted road.

I look up at him with a raise eyebrow. "Where are we headed?" I ask.

"The bus stop is up the road," He tells me.

Down the road my ass! We've been walking for about an hour and still haven't reached this "bus stop".

"Cole... How far is it?" I complain. It's getting dark and my dad is going to start figuring out I'm not at home.

"We're almost there, I promise." Another one of his responses that he's repeated multiple times.

"Liar! You've said that nearly ten times!" I say.

"Then stop asking! We may have gone the wrong way but-"

"But nothing!" I say out of frustration.

"Look, we can't turn back, so we might as well keep going forward." He says. I roll my eyes and as if right on cue, a random pickup truck is driving down the road. "See, there's our ride," Before I could say anything, Cole starts jumping up and down while waving his arms back and forth. "Hey!" He shouts.

I shield my eyes and look away because right now, for the first time, I'm embarrassed by Cole. If you could see what he looks like then you'd laugh too.

The truck pulls over and the passenger window rolls down, revealing an older looking guy with a beard and a beer gut.

"Hey, man, think we could get a lift?" Cole asks the man.

The man nods. "Sure can, get in." He unlocks the door and we both get in.

"Ladies first," Cole smirks.

I shake my head. "No, I've been selfish, you first."

He shakes his head. "No, baby, you're the women, so get in."

I glare at him but get in first, sitting very closely to the man that smells like B.O. and sweat, oh, and ham. Cole gets in next to me and leans against me so I'm further pressed against the man.

I glare at him still as he just smirks with an amused look on his face. What a jerk, why did I agree to be his girlfriend?

"Where you two goin'?" The man asks.

"If you could take us to the closest bus stop that'd be great." Cole says.

The man nods. "Sure thing. By the way, the names George, you guys got names?" George asks.

No, my mom left me nameless. Obviously.

"I'm Cole, and this is my girlfriend, Diana." He introduces us. I get butterflies in my stomach when he introduces me as his girlfriend instead of friend like the times before.

"What are you two doin' out here?" George asks.

"Site seeing gone wrong I guess." Cole lies with a chuckle.

George laughs. "I'm guessin' so." He takes a left and suddenly there is a bus station. "Here we are," George stops the car and we both get.

"Thanks," Cole says to him.

"No problem! Y'all be safe," He said, and then he was gone.

"I hate you," I said as I walked past him to sit on the bench.

I heard him laugh and no doubt he was smirking. "Come on, baby, don't be that way." How can I be mad at him when he calls me baby? If Cole only knew how much power he has over me.

"Don't call me that, I'm trying to be mad at you." I stubbornly say as I cross my arms over my chest.

He takes a seat next to me and wraps an arm around my waist, holding me closer to him. I suddenly feel his hot breath on my neck, sending shivers through my body. "Baby, please forgive me," He huskily whispers.

I lean into his embrace and turn my face to look him in the eyes. "Fine," I reluctantly forgive.

He leans in and places a chaste kiss on lips. "You know what the best part of you being my girlfriend is?"

"Hmm?" I hummed.

"I can kiss you whenever I want." And with that said, he places another kiss to my lips.

I pulled away when I heard the loud roar of the bus engine. "Cole..." But he had other plans. Even though I tore my lips from his, he still peppered kisses down my jaw and neck. "The bus is here," I say, once again trying to get him off. It's never a simplicity with Cole. I guess I don't mind, in fact, I could kiss him all day if it weren't for the annoying bus.

He groaned and placed a final kiss just below my ear. "We're not done here," He states as he took my hand and lead me onto the bus.

He handed the guy a $10 bill and after a few moments of waiting for anyone else to get on, we start to head back home.

"Hey, Diana, wake up." I hear someone whisper.

I wave my hand, trying to get the person's face away from mine. "Five more minutes," I groan.

The voice chuckles and I instantly recognize it as Cole. "Babe, we're here."

I reluctantly open my eyes and see that we're parked outside my house. "What time is it?" I ask as we exit the bus and start to walk up the pathway to my door.

"Late," Is all he says. Cole opens the door for me and as the first one to walk in, I see Jack.

I have an idea...

I push Cole back outside and quietly shut the door behind me so Jack doesn't notice us. His eyes are glued to the TV and it's past midnight so I'm sure he doesn't even realize where he's at, at the moment.

"Jack's in there," I say.

Cole's face quickly falls to anger and he tries to go around me and into the house. "I'm going to kiss his ass," There's his famous 'ass kicking' line.

I rolls my eyes. "Let's mess with him before you do so,"

He looks down at me with raised eyebrows. "Mess with him?"

I nod. "I'll just play it cool like you died and I don't care,"

Cole places a hand on his heart and mocks hurt. "I'm deeply wounded by your joking of my potential death."

"Yeah, yeah, save your tears. But I think it will be funny,"

He smirks. "Fine, but we need a signal for me to come in."

I nod. "Ok... Umm.... Peanut tree," Wow... And this would be the moment Cole instantly dumps you and leaves.

Unexpectedly, he laughs instead of dashing out of town. "Peanut tree?"

"Yeah, when is that ever going to come up in conversation?"

"True, but no touching." He seriously says.

I raise up on my tip toes and place a quick kiss on his lips. "Wouldn't dream of it. Now be quiet so this plan actually works." He nods in agreement and pretends to zip his lips.

I open the door and shut it loud it enough for him to hear. When I do so, his head turns towards me and he stands immediately. "Diana," He breathes out as he comes closer.

"Jack," I greet.

"I'm sorry-"

I raise my hand up. "I'm over it, I didn't really like him anyway." I lie.

I see his face instantly brighten up. Ugh, what a prick. "I'm so glad. I thought I lost you." He whispers the last part.

Gag.

How did I ever have a crush on this guy?

Oh yeah, he wasn't a psycho back then.

"I love you," I lie once again.

"Diana... I love you too."

I smile sweetly. "Really? Well I guess you'd better move on because I actually hate you... With a passion. Probably so much that if you were on fire and I had water, I'd drink it."

He gapes at me, obviously not knowing what to say.

"Oh, and peanut tree!" I shout.

Cole opens the door and comes up from behind me. Jack's face turns to anger at the site of him, especially when Cole possessively wrapped an arm around my waist. "I thought they killed you," Jack spat at him.

Cole chuckled darkly, no trace of humor at all. "I'm much smarter than my idiot brother."

"How could you?" I question him.

Jack sighs loudly. "Because he was stealing you from me and I just needed him gone!"

"Do you not hear yourself?! You tried to kill Cole so you could get with me." I say to him, making sure he knew just how crazy it was.

"I-I just couldn't let him have you," Disgust is obvious in his voice.

"I'm sorry, Jack, but I lo-" I cut myself off as I'm about to actually say I love Cole in front of... Well, Cole. "but I picked Cole." I said, fixing my almost slip up.

"You just better watch your back," Cole threatens him.

"Same to you," Jack said as he brushed past us and exited the house.

I sighed and turned in Cole's arms. "Sleep with one eye open..." I murmur.

He laughs and puts both arms around me. "That dude is as threatening as a puppy,"

I shrug. "Obviously not if he was going to kill you,"

"He wasn't, Trevor was. And even if Jack wouldn't have gave the order, Trevor still wanted me dead." I cringe at the thought of him ever dying, or even thinking he's dead.

"I'm tired, and going to sleep." I say, trying to change the subject. I walk up the stairs and go up into my room, I hear Cole close the door behind him as he also enters his room.

"So now that we're official, I can sleep in your bed?" He asks, his voice filled with hope.

I nod. "Just for one night since you almost died."

He chuckles and climbs in bed next to me. "How kind of you,"

I snuggle further into his chest. "I know,"

Cole kisses the top of my head. "Goodnight,"

"Night," Finally after two nights of no rest, I get the best sleep of all.
