The man that was standing in the back of the crowd when they found us in the lab walks up to our cell. We've already been in here for a few days and none of us have been able to find a way out, or use any of our powers. They man takes out a set of keys and opens our cell door, closing it behind him.
"I'm getting you all out of here," he says to us. I look up at him in shock but he just nods and sits down in front of us, telling us about his plan to get everyone out. He pulls out a teleporter and says we can bring reinforcements from the Poison Kingdom to come help us.
"Pretend you're prisoners while we walk by the guards," he says, standing up and opening the door of the cell. we follow him out, looking at all the people that are in the cells. He introduces himself as Randy as we're walking though the hallway, and we tell him our names.
"I'm taking them to the lab for some tests," Randy says to the guards as we make it near the staircase. They nod and let us through. We walk up the stairs and back to the room with the tubes. Randy closes the door behind us and we start letting people out of the tubes.
We pull them out and lean them against the wall, letting them wake up and regain their bearings before walking out of the room and out of the palace from a door beside the tube room. I start taking the clipboards off the hooks, setting them in a pile by a bucket of acid.
Kindle walks over and helps me through all the clipboards into the acid, watching as they disintegrate into nothing. We finish and walk back over to the tubes to help the others get the last few people out of them.
I walk over to Venom's tube and open it, leaning them against a wall. We finish taking the people out and wait for them to wake up, telling them instructions as they do. Venom finally wakes up and I tell them where they're supposed to go.
"Also, we met your partner and they are at home waiting for you," I say before they leave. They smile at me before walking out of the room to follow the others outside of the palace. I turn towards Randy and wait for him to say what we're doing next.
"We're getting the kids out now. Follow me," he says. We follow him out of the room and go back into the dungeons, turning into the corridor that we passed by the other time. I look in and see kids in all the cells here, most of which scramble to the back of the cells as we walk in.
Randy hands is each a key and we walk down the hallway, unlocking the cells and opening the doors.
"Acid, Kindle. Time to go get help," Randy says, handing Kindle the teleporter. They both nod and teleport away. We finish opening the cell doors and tell the kids that we're going to get them out of here but for now we need to stay put.
They start talking amongst each other and we sit down, waiting for Kindle and Acid to come back with reinforcements from the Poison Kingdom. We hear battling upstairs and know that they got back. We get up to start leading the kids out but someone comes and stands in front of the doorway.
"Go back in your cells!" A man bellows. He has a long grating heard and a fat belly, looking like an evil version of Santa Clause. He glares at us before a stepping forward. I take out my sword and hold it in front us, making the man take a step back.
"That's no way to treat a king" he says, looking at my sword with disgust. Out of the corner of my eye I see Waves taking out a life from her pocket, hiding it behind her back where the king isn't able to see it. She looks over at me and I nod, letting her know that I saw it.
"Yeah, well you're a pretty terrible king," Ebony replies. The king whips his head towards Ebony and shakes his head. Most of the kids gasp in shock, moving to the corners of their cells. The king seems to draw confidence out of the kids' fear and stands up straighter.
"The mistake finally speaks up, " he comments, making Ebony's face go red. I love my sword out of the way as Ebony walks forward, seeming not to notice that it was even there. I look over at Tornado and he nods, walking over to where me and Ebony.
"You know, your mother really was a cheater," the king says, examining his cuticles. Ebony clenched his fists and starts to walk forward but Tornado grabs his shoulder, holding him back. Ebony stops and stays put, glaring at the king.
"What do you mean by that? " Ebony says through gritted teeth. I put my sword away, knowing that Waves had her knife if anything goes wrong and not wanting Ebony to accidentally get hurt by it. Randy looks just as mad at the king as Ebony dies, but he holds back for whatever reason.
"Congratulations. I'm your father," he's says. Ebony lunges towards the king but I grab him and help Tornado keep him back. The king laughs and taunts Ebony. I can feel Ebony start shaking and I wrap my arms around him, trying desperately to calm him down.
"You shouldn't be a king," Ebony states calmly , pulling away from the hug. He makes the contact with the king and states him down, the king looking somewhat uncomfortable under his steady gaze.
"Well there's nothing you could do about it, you couldn't kill your own father," the king laughs. A person walks behind the king and lifts a sword, cutting king's head clean off his shoulders. The king's head falls on the ground before his body falls over and smacks onto the floor.
