Chapter 23 : I Am John Cena
"Aw. . . Kyle and Peaches, come here my sweethearts," I cooed and tried to grab Kyle.
"No kissy! Go away!" he protested in disgust and swatted my hands away to run and hide behind Clark.
"Peaches, my love!" I went over to her, grabbed her head [while she was trying to headbutt me in an attempt to get away from me] and I wetly kissed her forehead.
She tried to brush me away and I grinned. I looked up at Clark who was holding her in his arms. I stood on my toes and pecked his cheeks too. He didn't say anything and just stared down at me, his eyes vacant.
"Stop this kissy-kissy, makes me want to throw up," Kyle said, scrunching his nose up and gagged which made me grab him by the waist and tickle him until he was shrieking with laughing.
"Let's go," Clark stated in between our fun time and unlocked his car. He claimed to be a billionaire, but his car was no Mercedes. Then I reminded myself that he was undercover and I felt bad when my stupid self realized that I knew nothing about him. Absolutely, nothing.
I didn't know his real name or what his occupation was. I didn't know if he actually looked like he looked right now. I meant, he was in disguise. He was pretty hot wearing glasses and beanie, but I knew that was not him. He could be ginger or a blonde, but I was pretty sure his natural hair was dark brown. I had felt his hair when we were making out and it didn't feel dyed. However, that could just be my silly assumption.
"What is your evil mind plotting now?" Clark rasped as he placed Peaches on the back seat and shut the door.
"I was just wondering . . . Who are you?" I asked and he raised his eyebrow. "I mean, who are you really? I know you are this rich ass billionaire, but I don't know your actual name or how you look without this disguise."
"Do you want to know?" he asked and leaned against the car.
"Of course I do," I said tartly and paused. "Actually, no. I don't want to know."
"Why?"
"That's because I know you'll always be my Brownie," I said nonchalantly and grinned.
* * *
"How's everything going?" Ian asked and I stretched my body.
"The usual. Eat, sleep, regret, repeat. This long ass summer vacation is refreshing after the tiring days of school, but then I do miss high school, you know?"
"Yeah," Ian agreed and walked with me. We were now strolling around the banks of the river and just chatting.
I was pretty popular in high school and I mingled with everyone. For me, the entire school were my friends. They knew not to mess with me since I was considered to be trouble, but they still liked me for my quirky behaviour and free spirited nature. My school days were my best days of my life and I was a tad disappointed when I graduated. However, the principal and my teachers were very happy. "Good riddance," they had said.
"George?" Ian called out and I snapped out of my thoughts.
"What?"
"Are you erm . . . " he trailed off and my eyebrows knotted in confusion.
"Am I Batman?" I asked and Ian chuckled as I added, "Am I John Cena?"
"No," Ian denied and smiled dolorously. "Are you and Clark like a thing now?"
I was caught off guard by his question and I choked. "What? Brownie and me? What makes you think that?"
"I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, but you guys kissed and so I thought you may be with him. You know, like his girlfriend?" he said awkwardly.
"Girlfriend? You really think so?" I laughed like a madman. "I'm trash, Ian. I can never be anybody's girlfriend."
Ian suddenly stopped walking and turned to me. He stared down at me and cupped my cheeks. "You're beautiful George."
Woah.
"You need to get your eyes checked," I joked, though it was not really funny.
"No, seriously," he said sincerely and tucked a strand of my wild, frizzy hair behind my ear. "You're absolutely gorgeous."
"Ian, stop with these cheesy lines. You're really messing with my head." I pulled away and giggled. Why did he had to be so nice all the time?
We resumed our chatting. I was talking to him about one of the pranks I pulled on my teacher and how I was nearly expelled, when I heard Peaches and Kyle's giggles booming through Clark's backyard. What were they doing there?
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked as I entered the backyard. Ian followed behind me and Clark's gaze flickered between Ian and me for some time. I broke his gaze by grinning like an idiot and he averted his eyes to the kids.
"Bownie's dog is so cute!" Kyle cheered and Peaches stroked the beast's fur.
The beast spotted me clinging to Ian for safety and it ran wildly. It ran while going underneath Peaches skirt and dodging Kyle's hand who tried to catch his tail.
I screamed and immediately hid behind Ian's back. I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist from behind and tried to shoo the beast away.
"Why do you hate me so much?" I snapped at the beast which was trying to bite my leg.
"Woof, woof!" It barked and continued to try to bite my leg off.
"That's my leg, not chicken legs!" I exclaimed and looked down at my thin legs. It did resemble chicken's legs, but I was not going to admit that.
I cried out for help as the kids pointed at me and laughed like I was some clown. Ian was unable to help me since I refused to leave him. Clark took hold of the beast and I huffed.
Clark looked at me, my hands and legs firmly wrapped around Ian. He didn't say anything, but I could not miss his lingering stare. I awkwardly unwrapped myself and hopped down. I could see a flash of relief emotion wash over Clark's face, but he quickly concealed it by looking like his usual stone-cold self.
"What ees the name of him?" Peaches asked, referring to the beast in Clark's arms.
"It's not a 'him,' it's a 'her,'" Clark replied and I rolled my eyes.
"Of course, this bitch," I muttered and all of the people present, stared at me. I shrugged, dismissing them.
"What's her name?" Kyle asked this time.
"I didn't keep one yet."
"What? Why?" Kyle and Peaches, both looked bewildered.
"I didn't want to waste my time," he replied and noticed Kyle and Peaches' shock, disappointment, disbelief and grief, he added, "I couldn't think of one."
"What about dickass? That sounds kickass, doesn't it?" I suggested and Ian and Clark coughed. "Or no, I forgot she was a female. What about bitchshakinghertatas?"
"Language," Clark warned and I looked at the innocent kids gawking at me curiously.
"Fine, grandma," I teased Clark and he scoffed.
"How's Georgia?" Kyle asked and I glared at him.
"That's my name!"
"But your name is George!" he pointed out smartly and I sighed. He didn't know my actual name, but that was fine. What else could I expect from a four year old kid?
"What about Dora?" Clark asked and smirked at me. The nerve of this guy!
"Dora! That's nice!" Kyle and Peaches exclaimed in glee and I scowled.
"I don't mind that name either," Ian said and shrugged. "What do you think George?"
The timebomb was ticking inside me, to finally blow off. Clark had a smug look on his normally passive face and all eyes were on me. I was beyond annoyed with his constant Dora teasing and also because I was on my period. I didn't say anything for a few seconds and then suddenly, I focused all my attention on Clark.
"Marry that Dora, Brownie! You are freaking obsessed with her! I'm sure you would enjoy exploring that bitch!" I yelled angrily and stormed out of the backyard.
