Kaitlyn's POV

"You, bitch!" My father yells as he slaps me and kicks me in my stomach.

My mom is passed out on the couch, if she was awake, she wouldn't care. She is too busy getting drunk or "paying our bills."

I run to my room and cry. My parents weren't always like this... but that story is for later. I think long and hard about my next decision... it's final.

Ethan's POV

I was with my twin brother, Grayson, at the mall earlier today, and I saw a girl in my chemistry class, "Kaitlyn," I call. She waves and walks away.

As she turned I see a giant scar on her leg. Rumor has it that she is abused by her father, a drug addict, and mother, an alcoholic. She is bullied a lot at school, she doesn't deserve it though. She stays out of everyone's way and is smart. Not to mention pretty...

"Ethan!" My brother exclaims snapping me out of my thoughts. I run up to him and the rest of my friends.

Kaitlyn's POV

12:32 am. I walk downstairs with my bag, leaving I write a note to my parents.

Dear Mother and Father,

I understand you hate me. That is why I'm leaving. You had me at 14 years old, not even in high school. You both were great parents until Grandpa and Grandma stopped paying for our house. You treated me like trash, but really you two are. I am not putting up with this shit anymore! I am 16 and my parents are 30! Do you know how embarrassing that is? The fact that Dad calls me slut, bitch, and retard makes me feel so loved. Mom, have fun with the booze and different men every night! Dad have fun sitting on the couch like the miserable bastard you are.

I left a picture of both my parents passed out and the scars my father had caused me.

I open our safe; no money, shocker. I think, the liquor cabinet. Jackpot! I take $30,000 and leave.

Real question is: where to next?

I roam around my town until school starts.

I play Cancer by My Chemical Romance, I love them to death!

I walk into school and get my books. Someone tapped my shoulder and I see a brunette girl with hazel green eyes in front of me.

"Hey! I'm Rachel and I am new... I have no friends so, can I hang with you and your friends?"

"Funny, you think I have friends?" I ask.

"Well, now you have one!" She quips.

"Kaitlyn Joseph, 16, and hate this hell hole." I say introducing myself.

The doors fly open and I see Zach Dempsey and his crew. ( brianaarowland) I groan.

"That is Zach Dempsey," I say, "Be careful, he is my bully."

"Oh, hell no!" Rachel says as she runs up to him.

"Hey, Zach Dumptruck, right?" Rachel questions.

"Dempsey." He corrects.

"Yeah, that is what I said, Dumptruck. I was wondering where your house is, because I have some trash I need to throw out." She frowns as she points to Zach's crew.

"And who are you?" He asks

"Rachel freakin Johnson, bitch! And don't you forget it!" She says book dropping him and slapping his face.

"Holy crap, you're a badass!" I scream.

"He won't be bothering us for a long time!" She smiles as we walk to class.

I tell Rachel about school and stuff like that, "So, in your opinion, who are the hot guys?" She asks raising her eyebrows.

"Subtle, Rachel. Um, Daniel Smith's crew. That includes, Daniel Smith, Grayson Dolan, Nate Garner, and Ethan Dolan." I finish.

"What about me?" I hear a familiar voice say.

Ethan's POV

I hear someone say my name, so I turn around and see Kaitlyn Joseph and the badass new girl.

"What about me?" I ask.

"I-I was just telling Rachel the kids in homeroom." She states.

She looked tired and hungry. Maybe the rumors are true?

"Hey, beautiful, are you okay?" I ask Kaitlyn.

"Fine." She says yawning.

I see Daniel walk over and join the conversation. He tell him about Rachel's in counter with Zach and how she is a savage.

"Damn, that makes you more hot!" He says as I roll my eyes.

"Not to bad yourself, Daniel." She says winking.

We all trading numbers and made a groupchat. We became close friends today and I like it.
