Zanari's pov
We pulled into the parking lot, and climbed out of the car. We then strutted in the mall, as if we owned it, and marched to one of the many food court tables. There many malls in New York City, a gamut of various sizes, shapes, and shops. Some are enormous, some are tiny. But this mall is the mall everyone goes to. With a vast variety of lavish upscale shops, amazing customer service, delicious food from luxurious restaurants that will make your taste buds explode from the savory goodness (unlike those greasy fast food places that make you bolt for the bathroom holding your butt, wishing you had never eaten it. The food is delicious still though.) and to top it all; top notch security. Now can you see why everyone goes here? "Okay, since prom is in a month, we should go dress shopping!"Ever said excitedly.  "Yeah!"Amber, Mia, and I chimed in at once.  Brynn looked sad, standing in silence.  We all looked at her quizzically, raising one eyebrow.  "Well, I don't think anyone will ask me,"she answered solemnly.  At this, we gave her a dramatic eye roll.  "Fine!  I guess someone will ask me!"she muttered sheepishly.  "What was that?"I said, hands on hips, giving me a sassy appearance. "Yes!  Someone will ask me!"She yelled, blushing furiously, making bystanders give her a look that said,"did they just take her out of the mental asylum?" Or "She probably is insane better watch out!  "Anyone in particular?"Mia asked with a smirk painted on her face.  "No!"Brynn answered quickly.  Too quickly.  "Is... it Kai?"I questioned, with a big grin on my face.  "I said no one!"she snapped angrily her usually even-tempered face had a glare, making us recoil in shock.  Her face paled,"Sorry, I just don't like being pushed."  "Its fine,"Amber replied, with an understanding smile. "Anyways, hurry up, please!  I've been waiting for ages!"she whined dramatically.  We then headed to Amaris's boutique, and when we arrived, we practically drooled at the entire display.  In there was a dazzling array of beautiful colored prom dresses, like the rainbow.  There were seductive reds, mystical blues, blinding, bright yellows, flashy greens, and deep, dark purples, the color of an abyss, and daring oranges.  My fingers glided across the silky materials, looking for the perfect dress.  The materials were amazing!  Velvet, Chiffon, just to name a few.  I couldn't decide.  We decided to have a try-on-a-thon.  Literally.  "Does this make me look fat?"Ever said, worriedly. She stepped out of the stall, wearing a daring orange. "It doesn't fit you, maybe you should try a light blue,"Brynn answered honestly, and calmly strode over to a clothes rack.  She rummaged through the dresses and then found one.  The one.  It was simple yet cute.  It was made of floating chiffon that billowed out like a cloud, and it was icy blue.  Everyone looked at the dress with wide eyes.  Brynn had an good eye for fashion no doubt about that.  But I now knew she was passionate for it, a burning passion most people didn't have.  Ever looked at the dress with bright eyes, and finally broke the stagnant silence."This is beautiful Brynn it fits!  Thank you so much!"She exclaimed squealing with delight.

"Okay, Zanari now it's your turn,"Brynn said an eager smile on her face. She quickly strode to another prom dress section, her hands gently sorting through the fancy apparel. She came to an abrupt stop, and whispered,"I found a dress that will fit you perfectly." She took the dress off the rack, and held it up for all of us to see. My heart nearly leaped out of my throat. It was aqua green, covered with ruffles, sequins, and glitter. It was exquisite, something a princess might wear. "Oh it's beautiful Brynn!"I cried, happily taking the dress out of her hands I tried it on and it fit perfectly, as if it was made for me.

So one by one Brynn picked out dresses for us. Amber's was plum purple, and it had ruffles.

Mia's was flaming red, to match her hair. It fit her lithe body, and it was stunning on her. She looked like a sun, radiant and beautiful.

Now it was Brynn's turn. "Since I picked yours, its only right that you pick mine. Let's see who can find the perfect one. On your mark. Get set. GO!!"She said this like it was a race. We all scrambled into different sections of the store, frantically searching for the perfect color. I racked my brain trying to find a color that would fit Brynn. Black. Perfecto! I then saw a beautiful black dress, with gems pale silver, it was like looking into the galaxy. The gems like the stars, the dresses uniform darkness a jet black color.

I jogged over to Brynn, and handed her the dress.  "Okay I love this Zan!"  She beckoned the others, and they trotted over.  "I love that dress, Brynn!"Amber sighed happily.  "It matches your hair,"Mia whispered quietly, stating the obvious.  "It really fits you hon, only mine is better dah-ling,"Everleigh answered in a nasal voice, mimicking a snobbish French woman.  I giggled, and everyone laughed.  We all had decided to pay for our dresses today, instead of waiting.  We walked up to the cashier, and set our dresses on the counter.  The cashier was very friendly, and gorgeous.  She had long, coffee brown hair, and light brown eyes with a ring of gold around them.  "I'm Zanari." "Hi, my name is Bayleigh, and I love the dresses you picked-"  She was abruptly cut short by the ringing of her phone.  She smiled at us apologetically, and rummaged through her purse looking for her phone.  She fished the phone out of her purse, and swiped the answer button.  "Hey Gabby, my shift is over in ten minutes!  I'll meet you and Ella, at the food court."  Brynn, Amber, and I exchanged glances, while Ever and Mia gave us a knowing grin.  "Okay, bye,"Bayleigh said and hung up her phone.  "I'm sorry, girls, that was an important call."  She scanned our things, and we paid for them.  We thanked her, and quickly strode out.  "You know what time it is?  Time to go to the food court!"Amber exclaimed.  We sauntered to the food court and looked for Gabby and Ella.  We quickly spotted Bayleigh chatting with Gabby and Ella. They were clearly engrossed with the topic they were talking about.  When one of them was speaking, they gave her their full, undivided attention.  We casually walked over to them and Ella's green eyes found mine.  She nudged Gabby and her head snapped up, her icy blue eyes looking into mine.   Blue looking into green.  Every time I saw that unnerving gaze, I felt as if she could see all of my dark secrets, unraveling my whole existence, my identity.  She was intuitive, her sharp eyes noting people's sadness, pain, suffering, anger, and hardships.  She saw things most people didn't, her eyes like a hawk's.  "Hello, Zanari, Brynn, Amber, Everleigh, and Mia.  I hope you don't mind if I steal Zanari for a bit?"she asked.  Gulp.  I was dead.  The others nodded their heads, and I followed her.  She led me outside, and we sat on a bench.  "Zanari Genesis Grace, so we meet again.  Very pretty, and let me tell you what it means.  Genesis is the very first chapter of the Bible, and it means the beginning.  Grace, as in God's grace.  I see that your friend Brynn Noelle Haven is a Christian, trying to spread the word to you.  The thing is, this is the beginning of God's grace, Zanari.  You see, you're oblivious to the fact that there is a real God.  You can't see him, but you can feel him.  Many things bad will happen in your life; hardships, struggle, anger.  But many good things as well.  You see Zanari there is a God and he died on the cross for your sins.  He carried the crushing weight of people's sin, and still didn't regret it.  God loves you, more than you ever know,"she said, tears sparkling like diamonds in her eyes.  A mix of emotions echoed across my entire being.  "Choose me, Zanari Grace."said a beautiful, angelic voice still and small.  "Choose me, and I will be your saving grace."more pleading this time.  "Who are you!"I cried out in agony.  "Who are you!  If you are God how do I believe you!  I can't see you!  If you are real, why would you die for my sins? Why?!"  "Because I am the Great I am.  I took your burdens because you were suffering.  Choose me Zanari Grace, and all will be well."the voice faded, like a gentle breeze.  Rivulets of tears streamed down my face, landing with a splash on the bench.  Gabby looked at me, her blonde hair whipped in the wind that suddenly had started up.  She tore her gaze from me.  Her icy blue eyes stared up to the heavens, her lips moving but making no sound.  She was bathed in golden light, making her look more angelic.  She then turned to me,"God spoke to you, did he not?" "Gabriella, I can't tell if he's real! How can I believe in something I can't even see!" "You can feel him,"she repeated. "I'm not ready, Gabby,"I said calmly my voice not even wavering once. She looked at me and smiled,"I understand, we should get back. Your friends have been waiting for ages." We walked back, and my friends were talking to Ella and Bayleigh. "Gabby changed me, she taught me about God, and she is so on fire for God!"Bayleigh exclaimed energetically. "God helped me get to know Gabby, and she's a natural, amazing leader,"Ella quietly commented. "Can, you uh, tell me about your religion?"Ever asked nervously. "Please? I want to know more,"Mia asked hopefully. "Me too,"Amber agreed looking excited. "The same goes for me as well,"I called loudly, clearing my throat. "It's settled! Gabby, Brynn, Bayleigh, and I will tell you all about God,"Ella said happily. We all cheered, and decided we would meet at my house right now. I called my mom and asked her, and she said,"Yes, the more the merrier." We drove to my house, Gabby following us. We pulled in, and hopped out. Ella, Bayleigh, and Brynn oohed and aahed at how big it was. Everyone piled into the main living room, and I told everyone to make themselves feel at home. I then bounded up the first flight of steps, and turn the corner running directly into a brick wall. Literally. Thump! It was Josh's chest. "Oww! That hurt! Josh you are literally a brick wall!"I complained rubbing my head. "Sorry, Zanari." Josh, ever the gentlemen, offered a hand. I accepted it and he pulled me up. "I hear a bunch of people. Can Chase, Jayden, Kai, and I join?" "Sure, they're in the living room, go ahead, and let me change,"I replied. I then sauntered to my room, and change into a nike t-shirt, and running shorts, I put my hair in a ponytail, and raced to the living room. I'm shocked to see Jayden flirting with Mia, Chase flirting with Ever, and Kai with Brynn. "Sorry guys, had to change,"I muttered, and sat down by Brynn and Josh. Josh smiled at me, and I blushed, looking away. "Ok you lovebirds, It's time to learn about God,"Gabby called, chuckling. Every one who's flirting, their faces turned bright red, in embarrassment, including mine. Amber laughed so hard that she fell to the floor. "The looks on your faces!"she said and went into another fit of giggles. Ella and Bayleigh joined in, and everyone turned as red as a watermelon. "Kill me now,"Kai muttered looking mortified. "Oh don't deny that you love Brynn!"Amber replied laughing so hard that tears came to her eyes. "Really Amber! Ugh! I really now want to crawl in a hole and die!"Brynn exclaimed extremely embarrassed. "And Zanari! Uh oh! You sooooo want to marry Josh!"Amber choked out. "Ambrose!! I'm so gonna kill you!"I yelled in embarrassment. Josh was cute, though. "Chase and Everleigh! Cheverleigh! Like the car!" "AMBER! YOU ARE SO DEAD!"Ever yelled angrily. "Too bad she was already killed by me,"I stated. "How come I'm still breathing?"she quipped. Gabby, Ella, and Bayleigh roared with laughter. "Mia and Jayden sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage! Then comes a baby in a baby carriage!" "AMBROSE! YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!"Mia roared. "Cheverleigh, KailoBrynn (heh heh kilo renn), Joshari, and Mayden!"Amber was shaking she was laughing so hard. "THAT'S ENOUGH AMBROSE LEXI WILLIAMS!" I said, chucking a pillow at her. "PILLOW FIGHT!"Kai yelled issuing a challenge, and pumping a fist in the air. "Bring it on! Everyman for himself, or should I say every couple for themselves!"Amber said smirking. She was our target now. We all threw the pillows as hard as we could, but she dodged them all, her legs moving as fast as lightning. Gabby, Ella, and Bayleigh decided to join in as well. "ATTACK!"I yelled, throwing a pillow at Amber blindingly fast, so fast that Amber toppled over. "WOMAN DOWN!"Ella hollered, and closed in for the kill. She threw the pillow at Amber, and everyone buffeted her with more. Pretty soon it was raining feathers, pandemonium everywhere. When everyone got tired of pelting Amber, we turned against each other. I chucked pillow after pillow, and soon was tired. After everyone had tired out, we collapsed in a heap of exhaustion. "ZANARI! KAI! You have some explaining to do!"Mom and dad yelled. Uh oh we are dead meat...
Hey guys! Pillow fight was awesome! So was the ship names😂😂😂😂. I would really appriciate it if Comment your favorite character, and come up with a better ship name!
