/Freed's p.o.v./

(Y/n) had fallen asleep after all that happened. I don't blame her she must be emotionally and physically exhausted. Wendy had healed a soldier that seemed to have been hurt, luckily he wasn't quite dead yet. He told us that (y/n) had attacked him, but he didn't hold anything to her because she didn't seem to be acting on her freewill. He was a very nice man and we were all great full. As for Timothy we had called the magic council, and he'll be held in a cell till he has to go to court tomorrow. They don't think he'll be proven innocent, thank the gods. I was now carrying (y/n) as we made our way home, and trying not to blush at the cute faces she made while she slept.

"So freed I'd like to know how you broke through the wind barrier in the first place?" Evergreen asked.

"Yeah that thing was crazy how did you get in without being ripped to shreds?" Lucy added.

"It was simple." I responded. "I simply found its weakest area, which was the top, and flew up while using an enchantment to protect myself from the elements as I went through."

"How did you know the top was the weakest?" Laxus asked.

"I don't know I just did, even I find it strange." I answered.

"It's not strange." Mira giggled.

"What do you mean?" I asked her in confusion.

"Well you know what they say. Wizards who have a connection can see the greatest strengths and weaknesses in each others magic." Mira explained.

"Awe so Freed and (y/n) have a connection?" Bixlow teased sticking out his tung. "How cute."

I felt my face burn red. "Shut up Bixlow."

"Now you know how I feel all the time." Evergreen smirked.

"Awe Ever don't think I'll stop teasing you about Elfman just because Freed has a girl in his life." Bixlow laughed. "Ever and Elfman sitting in a tree. K-i-s-s-i-n-g."

"Cut it out Bixlow!" Evergreen screamed.

I laughed quietly. Poor Ever, but at least that keeps him off my back for a while.

(Y/n) shifted in my arms and started to open her eyes slowly. We all stopped.

/you're p.o.v./

"You're awake?" Mira chirped happily.

I noticed I was being carried by someone. It was Freed. I blushed and pushed him away landing on my butt in the process. "You have to stay away from me!" I screamed.

"(Y/n) calm down." Cana said in worry.

"No you have to stay away, it's still in me." I said pulling my knees to my chin.

"What's still in you?" Alex asked.

"I can't tell you." I replied feeling tears form in my eyes.

"What is all this noise outside?!" An old lady with pink hair yelled. "Get out of here I don't like people in my property!"

"Miss Porlyusica?!" Lucy exclaimed nervously. "We're sorry we were just passing through."

The old lady growled slightly. "Of course it would be you guys." She looked at me. "Why are you crying child?"

I turned away I hated when people saw me cry. "It's still inside me." I repeated.

"What is she talking about?" Porlyusica asked.

"I don't know she keeps saying that, but she can't tell us what she means." Wendy answered.

"That sounds like a curse. Come on inside I'll see if I can help you in anyway." She invited me in with an emotionless tone.

I was skeptically at first, but then got up and walked in.

"The rest of you stay outside, I don't want you stinking up my house!" She yelled.

"Yes mam!" They all said in a scared way.

"Wendy if this is a curse I'm going to need your help. Your powers will be useful." She said to the young blue haired wizard.

"Right I'll do my best to help you." Wendy said with determination.

We walked in and she directed me to a bed in the small house. I sat down.

"It's not easy to extract a curse, but I might be able to do it." She explained. "I don't know for sure if it will work though so don't get your hopes up."

"I understand." I said quietly. "Thank you for helping me."

"I'm just doing my job as a healer." She explained making a mixture. "Now drink this it will make you sleep."

I took it and drank it laying back into the bed. Please let this work... I thought before falling into a deep sleep.

I woke up some time latter. I was still a little out of it from the medicine she gave me.

"I'm so glad you're awake!" Wendy chirped a big smile plastered on her face. "It worked we broke the curse."

"You did?!" I asked in amazement.

"Mhm." She nodded happily.

"Yes you are free to live your life now. It was a nasty curse though." Porlyusica said

"It's four years old." I said still not believing I was finally free.

"Four years?!" Porlyusica said seeming surprised. "You are lucky, normally someone wouldn't be able to hold a curse that long without going completely insane. You must be a very powerful wizard to have fought against it for that long."

Was I fighting that whole time? I didn't realize. "Thank you so much for helping me." I said smiling slightly.

"Your welcome." Now if you wouldn't mind I'm not to keen on guests, so please leave."

"Yes mam." Wendy nodded politely. "Come on (y/n) everyone is waiting not to far from here. Goodbye Grandine."

"I though I told you not to call me that." She muttered as Wendy dragged me out of the house. I caught a slight smile on her face. Maybe she isn't as mean and cold as she tries to make herself out to be.

"Come on everyone is waiting over here." Wendy led me just a short distance into a clearing where everyone was waiting patiently.

"(Y/n)!" Lucycalled excitedly.

"So how did it go?" Cana asked.

"Yeah did she get the curse out?" Mira asked intensely.

"Yes." I nodded.

"That's so wonderful!" Lucy exclaimed. As all three of them ohugged me tightly.

I smiled slightly hugging them back. "Thanks guys, it's nice to finally be free again."

"I'm glad that everything went well." Freed smiled at me.

"So can you tell us exactly what happened now?" Laxus asked.

"Laxus." Mira scolded. "Come on she might not feel comfortable sharing that yet."

"No it's ok." I told her. "I want you guys to know."

"Alrighty then girl." Cana casually put her arm around my shoulder, and gave me an encouraging smile. "Spill it."

I sat down on a stump of a tree and took a deep breath "four years ago my mother died. No one could figure out how. They couldn't even tell if it was murder or not."

"Yeah that's what Alex told us." Happy said.

"Yes like I said it was a mystery to everyone." I looked down letting my hair drop down over my face. "But I knew. I knew who killed her."

"What?" Alex asked sounding shocked. "Who?"

"It was my father. I-I watched him do it." I paused trying to take control of my emotions. "At the time I had no idea how he did it, but he said that if I told anyone he would hurt Alex to."

Everyone was shocked and they watched me with wide eyes, especially Alex.

"It was latter that night that I found out how he killed her, and how he would eventually control me as well." I continued. "I found out that for years he had her under a curse, but she ended up getting stronger and was able to fight. Fearing that one day he'd loose his complete control over her, he killed her. He told me that I was also under the curse as well. Whenever he told me to do anything truly horrible like kill someone I was able to fight however, because I knew it was wrong. So he decided to slip a little poison in my tea. The poison wasn't meant to kill me, but it made me loose control whenever I used a lot of my magic power. It was kind of like loosing my sense of right and wrong, my humanity, but I would always wake up, and I'd know what I did." I felt tears sting in my eyes and I hugged my knees to my chest.

Mira sat down next to me and put her a around me comfortingly.

"I guess that's how I stopped trusting people. Because if my father, a man I loved and trusted for years, could be so cruel, than I thought that's how everyone was like." I explained. "After I got away I really should have let you help me Alex, but I was scared he'd still find a way to hurt you."

"Well none of that matters now." Laxus smiled. "No matter what you did while under his control you are you now, and you have the FairyTail family that you can love and trust. Right guys?!"

"Yeah!" Everyone shouted except happy who cheered his usual Aye sir.

I smiled feeling a spark of something I haven't in forever. True happiness.
