It was getting late, and I hung my chin in the palm of my hand yawning. I didn't think about where I was going to sleep latter. usually I'd just sleep in the woods like I did every night, but it's starting to get really cold at night, and I think the weather is impacting my health. I guess a few more nights won't hurt.

"Hey are you ok there (y/n)?" Cana asked.

"Yes I just need a good nights rest." I yawned again my eyes drooping.

She put her hand on my forehead. "You're burning up."

"Yeah..." I trailed off weakly. "I guess sleeping outside in below freezing weather isn't the best idea."

"You don't have anywhere to stay?" Freed asked. "Why didn't you tell me I would have made arrangement for you."

I muttered something that even I couldn't understand.

"Alright that's it you are staying at our house." Mira insisted helping me out of the stool.

I was too tiered to even debate. The walk to Mira's house was kind of a blur probably because I kept slipping in and out of sleep. She probably had to carry me most of the time. When we got there she led me to the guest bedroom.

"I don't think Lisanna would mind if you borrowed her night cloths." Mira said, but when she turned around I was already lying in the bed sleeping peacefully. She smiled pulling the blanket over me. "Goodnight (y/n)."

The next morning morning I was feeling a lot better as I strolled through the guild doors. I saw Freed sitting at the bar and joined him.

/Freed's p.o.v./

"Good morning Freed!" (Y/n) chirped as she sat down next to me.

I smiled at her. "I'm glad you're feeling better today. I was worried."

Her cheeks reddened slightly.

"Would you like something to drink?" Mira asked her from behind the counter.

"Yes please, just water." (Y/n) replied with a slight smile.

"So Laxus said he found you out in the woods yesterday." I said casually making discussion. "He didn't say much else except that you seemed to be in a bad place. So I guess what I'm trying to ask is are you really ok?"

She looked at me a moment like she was thinking. "I don't know, I think I am." She answered truthfully.

"Well you know that if you ever need anything you can come to us." I felt my cheeks burn slightly. "You can come to me."

She looked down and muttered, "I know." There was a silence, and her water came. She took a sip from it.

I looked away to hide my blush. I heard her cough, and looked back over to her. She was holding her one hand to her mouth, and the glass in the other started to tremble.

"(Y/n) are you ok?" I asked her. Then I realized there was a red liquid dripping out of the hand she held to her mouth. She coughed out the blood and fell off the stool I caught her quickly. "Y/n" I shouted in worry making everyone look. Her blood now covered my arm and the front of my coat.

She looked up at me her eyes filled with fear. "You have to go find Alex." She begged.

"Why?" I asked

"Because he's coming..." She muttered to me weakly before fainting into my arms.

The guild members all sat in silence worrying about (y/n) who rested in the infirmary. Freed had gone out to find Alex like she had requested.

"I don't understand." Cana broke the silence. "What did she mean by he's coming?"

"I don't know, but I hope Feed finds Alex fast. Maybe he could explain some things to us." Mira answered fiddling with her hands nervously.

There was a knock at the guild door, and they all looked in confusion. Surely no other member would knock they'd walk right in. The doors then slowly creaked open revealing a finely dressed man. He had slick black hair with hints of grey indicating that he was slightly older.

"And who might you be?" Erza asked coldly.

"I am Timothy Bright, and I'm assuming this is the FairyTail guild hall." He said politely.

"Yeah what's your business?" Gray asked

"You have something of mine." Timothy replied casually.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" Natsu yelled rudely.

"Keep your temper Natsu we don't know what he wants." Erza ordered.

(Y/n) walked out of the infirmary.

"(Y/n) what are you doing? you should be resting." Cana said in worry.

"Ah there she is." The man smiled.

/your p.o.v./

I stared back at the man with an emotionless expression.

"Come here I want to see you." He ordered smiling at me.

My feet moved toward him only a few feet before Evergreen stepped in front of me.

"How do you know (y/n)." She asked him protectively.

"I'm her father." Timothy smiled smugly.

"Is this true?" Cana asked me.

It's true he is my father. The man I tried so hard to run away from. The man I hate. My puppeteer. "Yes it's true." I replied coldly.

"See she's my lovely daughter my blood runs through her veins." He said sitting down in a chair. "(Y/n) would you get me a drink please the long trip here has left me absolutely parched."

I moved over to the bar getting him his drink and dropping it on the table next to him. I was surprised it stayed upright and didn't spill.

He brought it to his lips and chugged it down "Alright." He said seeming refreshed refreshed. He stood up again "Let's go."

"What no!" I said in more of a begging way than a demanding one.

"Who says you can just waltz in here and take her away!" Cana yelled at him.

"She's old enough to make her own decisions." Mira added.

I held back tears. Guys? Is this...? Is this what real family is like?

"I don't care if your her dad or not, you aren't welcome here get out!" Natsu yelled angrily flames forming around his fist.

Timothy just chuckled, not taking any of them seriously.

"Fine then I'll force you out!" Natsu yelled jumping toward him to attack.

I leaped in front of my dad causing Natsu to change direction and punch into the wall behind us.

"Ow." He replied rubbing his fist. "(Y/n) why are you protecting him."

"I don't want to." I replied desperately.

"Awe poor little (y/n)." My father muttered walking up closer to me putting his arm around my shoulder.

I flinched wanting to push him away.

"You always do what I tell you. You're just a sad little puppet with no real family and no freewill." He continued to tear at me.

"Is this what you were trying to tell me yesterday?" Laxus asked.

"Don't answer that." My dad ordered.

I shut my mouth reluctantly.

"See that she does exactly as I say. She would destroy this whole town if I asked you to." He chuckled.

"You would make your own daughter do something like that?!" Erza asked in astonishment. Anger clearly shone in her usually joyous eyes.

"Why not?" He asked removing his arm from around me. "It wouldn't be the first time. She's taken the lives of so many I've lost count. And all because I gave one simple order."

I looked down feeling ashamed I let my hair fall down and cover my face. The tears were threatening to creep out again, but I didn't let them. No I can't show weakness.

"She couldn't stop herself even if she wanted to." Timothy explained. "For example, I order you to attack that fire wizard."

I widened my eyes in shock, but without hesitation I sent a full blown attack at Natsu, causing him to fly across the guild and hit the wall forcefully. "Natsu!" I yelled in worry. "I'm so sorry."

"Wow this is fun." My dad chuckled. "Let's see who else we can send flying." He moved his hand and I sent a tornado through the guild hurting other members of the guild. "Although it's never a good scene until someone dies." He pondered looking around at his potential victims.

My mouth dropped open. The thought of killing one of the members mortified me. "No please stop!" I begged grabbing his arm.

"Get off me!" He shoved me and I fell to the ground.

"Wow you really must care about these people. It's not very often that you actually shed tears." My dad pointed out.

I realized that the tears I had been trying so hard to hold in were streaming down my face. I didn't bother to wipe them away. "I'll make you a deal."

"Hm and what's that?" He asked sounding intrigued.

"I'll go with you, I'll won't resist, and I won't ever try to run away again. If you leave them alone and we never come back here." I stated.

He looked at me skeptically not sure if I was telling the truth or not.

"I swear." I said completely serious.

"Deal!" He smiled victoriously. Then he grabbed me and dragged me out of the first place I saw as my home in forever. I felt my heart shatter, and more tears streamed down my face. I'm sorry, but this is the only way to protect you. Goodbye everyone...
