"Fuck you, Paxley!" Claude hissed as he tried to follow the VENOM squad after the Higanbana and strings disappeared.

He was about to follow them but Silvanna held his arm, "Don't."

Claude's eyes widened, "I don't care if you are a princess but my cousin was just kidnapped by that shitty squad."

"I understand your frustrations, Claude. Lesley is my friend but you have to trust me." Silvanna said in a calm way— as if assuring him that his cousin was safe.

Claude was contemplating— but the Moniyan Princess had this presence that if she said everything is alright, then everything was alright— a trait of every royalty, he supposed.

He sighed, "Alright, Your Highness. But if something bad happens to Lesley..."

Silvanna smiled gently, "I know, Claude. You know a lot of things— even the things you don't suppose to know."

"It will become handy in the future." Claude smirked.

Silvanna looked calm but deep inside, she was a bit nervous. She knew Claude knew some dark actions of the Moniyan royal family— every royal family had dark sides— and she wasn't ignorant of that even though her parents were trying to hide those dark things from her but she knew everything.

She just hoped that everything would go according to her instincts.

Turning to the great Moniyan Warriors, Silvanna sighed before giving them a comforting smile, "Let's go home."

The Dark Prince walked to the Abyss Castle and was confused when he saw almost all of Abyss creatures were there.

"What the hell is happening here?" He asked, making the dark creatures looked at him and gave respect to the prince.

"Your Highness, Queen Alice is—"

"She was shot in the head three times." Thamuz informed him.

"Oh?" Dyrroth said nonchalantly, "And you all panicked with that? Do you really think Alice will die because of normal bullets?"

"Do you think we didn't know that?" Selena said in a mocking tone, "If those are ordinary bullets, it wouldn't even penetrate her body, you idiot. But up until now, she was unconscious."

That perked Dyrroth's interest, "Really?"

Selena just rolled her eyes in annoyance and flipped her hair before walking away.

"I was about to kill that sniper but an assassin stopped me by disabling me to use my skills." Moskov explained.

Dyrroth hummed. He was really intrigued by that Moniyan Warriors.

"Don't even think of going there alone, Dyrroth." Thamuz said, as if he knew that he was planning to go out. "Some of the demons said you went to borders alone the other day."

Dyrroth shrugged, "I do what I want to do."

He went to his room, not giving any interest about the unconscious Blood Queen.

Yes, Thamuz and Alice might be the ones who raised him but who cares? He didn't feel any sympathy and care about them. He knew that they only raised him for their own benefits.

He laid to his bed— sighing as he closed his eyes.

But then, a certain brunette girl in a violet dress flashed through his mind.

"Guinevere, huh." He muttered before drifting to sleep.

Lesley slowly opened her eyes though her vision was still blurry because she just woke up.

A familiar scent invaded her nostrils— like that scent when she woke up in a tent in the forest.

As her vision got cleared, she scanned the place where she was.

She was lying on a queen-sized bed with luxurious furniture around her— from bedside table, cabinets, carpet— looked like she was inside a room in a castle.

Her rifle and grenade were gone but she was confused since she wasn't tied or chained.

Lesley was busy scanning the place when she heard two knocks before the door opened.

"Hi Miss Lesley, good thing you are already awake. I've brought your food. But don't worry, it wasn't poison and I didn't cook that." Vespid said before placing the food on the side of her bed, "I can do any chores, except cooking."

"Where am I? Where is Harley? Gusion?" Lesley quickly asked as she sat on the bed. Her right hand was frantically searching for anything that could be used as a weapon.

"I won't do anything bad to you, Miss Lesley." Vespid said, noticing her hand movements, "At least eat this food. You've been asleep for four days. You need to regain your energy."

Lesley was in shock, her eyes widened, "Four days?"

Vespid nodded, "Please eat. I will inform Emperor Scorpion that you are already awake."

She was about to stop Vespid to ask her where her weapons were, but Vespid already went out of the room.

Sighing, she reached for the food and smelled it if it contained poison. She was used to this even before since she always test the food of her little brother. Harley had his own food tester but she couldn't just trust anyone for Harley's safety. Like, what if the food tester had the ability to resist poison? She wanted to make sure that her little brother was safe.

After making sure that the food had no poison, she began to eat. She couldn't help it since all of these food were her favorites— caramel pecan blondies, four-cheese chicken fettuccine, a bar of chocolate, and a cup of black coffee.

What the— is this purely coincidence or not?

Lesley was still thinking on how and why did the VENOM squad spent too much money to serve her favorite food. These are her favorites back in the Castle Grandrock.

She was absent-mindedly eating the fettuccine when the door opened again, and it revealed Emperor Scorpion— or Gusion.

Her heart accelerated at the sight of him. Ah, it still got her— the way he walked, his posture, his intimidating aura, that rude look— even in his VENOM form.

She decided to avoid his gaze and sipped on her coffee. Lesley released a sigh of satisfaction upon tasting the caffeine.

She tried to ignore him as he sat on the chair beside the bed. She could feel his piercing gaze on her, making her conscious while eating.

When Lesley couldn't take it anymore, she carefully put down her utensil and looked at him, "What do you want from me?"

"Finish your food first before we talk."

"I'll eat if you'll stop staring at me."

"Why? Am I making you conscious?"

Lesley narrowed her eyes, "VENOM or not, you're really a conceited person, yes."

Emperor Scorpion smirked at her that she rolled her eyes to him. She heard him chuckled.

That made her looked at him, staring at him as if she was scrutinizing him.

Lesley was nervous since her instincts were kicking in, "If I learn that you are messing with my emotions, you'll never see me again."

Emperor Scorpion's face went back to his usual grim expression and returned the gazes she was throwing him. She couldn't figure out what was on his mind.

"I've been mentally unstable since Harley was taken away, and it doubled when you were also taken away. Please tell me if you have plans, just for the peace of my mind." Lesley said, she could feel her lips were quivering from stopping herself from crying, "Because I really, really miss you. And I want this all to end." A lone tear escaped her eye, "Please let me have my happiness."

Lesley woke up by a blinding light and murmurs around her.

She abruptly sat up upon waking up in a familiar room. It was the same room where she stayed four months ago, in the headquarters of SABER Squad.

She was confused, her mind was in fuss. Was that all a dream?

She remembered that she talked with Gusion— or Emperor Scorpion and she broke down in from of him, crying until she fell asleep— at least that was what she remembered.

She was confused on why she was in the SABER headquarters once again. She was afraid that all what happened was a dream.

Lesley looked up when the door opened and she hurriedly ran to the door when Layla entered.

Layla was in shock and held her quickly, "Lesley! You should be resting."

"Lay, what date is it? Was it all a dream?"

Layla was confused and tried to calm her down, "Calm down Lesley. Sit and relax." She guided her to the bed, "What happened? Why are you in panic?"

"Was it all a dream? Didn't we encounter the Dark Abyss?"

Layla took a deep breath, "It was real, Les. You even managed to shot Alice in the forehead three times."

Lesley released a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness, it wasn't a dream. And what happened next?"

"You were taken away by Gus— I mean, Emperor Scorpion and his squad. We looked for you for days and at last, we found you yesterday. But you were not alone."

Lesley frowned, "I'm not alone?"

That made Layla frowned, "Why are you not so sure? We found you unconscious, as well as Dr. Leo. We thought you managed to escape from VENOM Squad and managed to capture Dr. Leo. Black bullets that you used was shot in body parts that could paralyze him."

Lesley's mind was in turmoil.
