i don't know how to feel,
but someday, i might
"What?" Sam asked, looking around the room in shock.
"It makes perfect requel sense," Mindy spoke as if she were proud of herself for figuring it out.
"Well," Christian cleared his throat.
"That kind of does make sense." Alice agreed.
Chad was too busy in his thoughts instead of the conversation. Although he knew the killings and everything with Ghostface was serious, that was one of the last things he was worried about. He just wanted to separate from the group so he could do what he should've done forever ago.
He wanted Willa.
Sam looked at Dewey, who just kind of nodded. The look on his face showed he kind of agreed, but that was just a small sliver as he was still trying to latch onto all of the information he was given.
Sam scoffed as nobody said anything to go against what Mindy said, rising from her spot on the couch. "Fuck this," She muttered.
It wasn't long until they heard the slamming of the front door, the move more than enough to cause Willa to flinch.
Richie went after her fairly quickly, leaving everyone else in awkward silence.
Willa picked at her nail beds. She wanted to leave but didn't want to leave Oliver as she knew he wasn't as close to the others yet.
"Well I hate to bring this party to an end, but we have to get going," Aaron spoke up as he and Marcus stood.
Willa avoided eye contact, hoping that it'd be enough to avoid any conversations. However, all hopes were crushed as he stopped directly in front of her.
"Willa," He muttered.
The blonde took in a deep breath before looking around, seeing people were staring at them. She'd already caused a scene by saying what she'd said to him earlier in the conversation, so she decided to bite her tongue despite how hard it was.
"Yeah," She breathed out, finally looking up at him.
"Can we talk?" He asked. His tone was soft, the opposite of what it usually was. But Willa knew that it was only because everyone was around, and if they weren't then he'd probably be angrier than he'd ever been before.
Willa looked over at Wes, who was looking at the two. She didn't want him to know something had happened and so she nodded, standing from her spot on the couch.
Marcus went to grab her arm, but Willa flinched away. She moved to the side and let him exit first, ignoring the worried look Oliver sent her way.
She motioned to him that it'd be okay - a look that didn't go unnoticed by Chad. He watched in jealousy as Willa left the house with Marcus, his jaw clenching at the thought of them together.
Now that he'd realized his feelings, he wanted nothing more than to be with her. Even though his girlfriend sat next to him, even though Willa and he hadn't spoken too much - he didn't care. He needed to find a way to fix the mess that's been created.
Willa leaned against the side of the house, ignoring the look Marcus gave her. She crossed her arms over her chest, trying her best to show unbothered despite the tremble in her fingertips. She was too close to Marcus - and she needed to get away as soon as possible.
"I miss you," Marcus said.
Shocked, Willa looked up at him with wide eyes. Of all the things she expected to leave his mouth, it wasn't that.
"I forgive you for what you did to me, and we can work past it." He then added.
Willa's face twisted into disgust, tears pooling in her waterline. "Y-you forgive me?" She asked in disbelief.
"Yes, baby, I forgive you." Marcus reached out, grabbing her shaky hands. "You were just startled and I should've taken things a little slower."
"A little slower?!" Willa exclaimed, moving to pull her hands away. "You are psycho! You deserve to rot for the shit you did to me and I'm not sorry for what I did. You tried to rape me!"
"I did not," Marcus denied.
"I most certainly didn't consent to it," Willa spat at him, tugging away from him.
It was insane to Willa. How he could manage to look at her with nothing but disgust and hatred the moment she walked through the door, yet now he was spewing nonsense saying things such as 'I forgive you' and 'I miss you'. He needed help or even jail time - maybe both.
"You're a monster, Marcus. You took advantage of me and-"
"I took advantage of you?" His grip on her tightened, "If anything, you took advantage of me."
"How could you say that?" Willa muttered, looking at him in shock. "I-I constantly did everything you asked of me even if you didn't deserve it. Hung out with you instead of my friends, rode to school with you instead of my friends. Missed time with my brother to spend time with you. My best friend died and you took me to see a movie based on the same killer as the one who killed her! I dropped Chad for you."
"Chad likes you, Willa. He has a thing for you and any guy wouldn't want their girlfriend hanging out with a guy who's in love with them." Marcus rolled his eyes. He finally let go of Willa at the mention of the boy, crossing his arms over his chest.
Willa stepped away the moment his hands dropped hers, wrapping them around her stomach. "He does not and even if he did - I was loyal to you. That doesn't matter. Point is you used me and took advantage of my kindness. This is done. We're done."
"We're not done, Willa." Marcus darkly said.
"We're done. You're a monster and I never want to see you again." She spat at him, tears threatening to spill.
Marcus went to say something but was unable to because of the sound of footsteps approaching. The two looked over to see Wes standing there, looking between them with a worried expression.
"Oliver and I are ready to get going, you coming?" He asked, wearily glancing between the two.
"Yes," Willa sniffled, pulling away.
Marcus just watched, letting her go toward her brother. If he wanted to say anything - which he did - he didn't, afraid to blow his cover and instead just decided to confront her later on.
Wes wrapped a comforting arm around his sister as they walked, something Willa greatly needed. She noticed a lot of the cars were gone, meaning that most of the group had left as she was stuck outside with Marcus.
"Mom's going to be home tonight," Wes told the girl as they met up with Oliver. "She told me earlier."
"Cool," Willa mumbled. She didn't forget about the things her mother told her before they left, her heart hurting as she replayed them in her mind as if she heard them for the first time all over again.
Wes knew something was wrong, but didn't say anything. It was also silent as they rode back to their house, Oliver stealing numerous glances at Willa in worry.
Willa didn't say anything, noticing the way the two boys constantly looked at her. She knew they both wanted to know what was going on, and she knew she should tell them - specifically Wes.
Guilt ate at her for not admitting to him what had happened, especially with the way she had pushed him away the day before. She loved him and he was her best friend, the last thing she wanted was to push him away.
The three went inside as they arrived at the house, saying a quick hello to Judy. She was on the phone with one of her coworkers, talking about the Ghostface attacks that had been occurring.
As soon as she saw the teens her mouth pressed into a thin line, her eyes watching Willa carefully as she followed Oliver and Wes up the stairs. It was only as soon as they were out of earshot that she began to speak again, responding to whatever it was her coworker had said.
Willa rolled her eyes at this. She wasn't fragile. People didn't have to walk on eggshells around her. She could and she would manage.
Oliver walked into the mess that was Willa's room. He glanced around at everything despite having already seen it, ignoring the sheepish look on the blonde's face.
"I think I'm going to go for a run," Wes called out from her doorway. His eyes lingered on the mess as well, knowing it had happened from the night before.
"Wait," Willa softly told him. "Can-" She paused for a second, "I need to talk to you."
Wes looked at Willa, his face immediately softening. "Y-yeah, okay." He told her. Part of him was surprised she was wanting to talk to him, but he didn't turn her away. "I'll be in my room." He quickly added.
Willa nodded and her brother walked away, leaving her with Oliver. She gently touched his arm to catch his attention, smiling at him once his lips curled upward. "I'm going to be right back."
Oliver nodded, 'Take your time' he signed, earning another soft smile from the girl.
She just nodded back in response. She left Oliver in her bedroom before heading across the hall to Wes'. She hesitated before finally lifting her hand and knocking, her heart beginning to race.
Willa was anxious. She'd never admitted something so deep to Wes, and she didn't know how he'd react. But at the same time, this was her brother. Her twin. Her best friend. He was one of the only few people who have seen her at her worst yet still chooses to love her unconditionally.
He needed to know, especially because if the roles were reversed and something happened to him, she'd want to be the first to know.
Wes threw open the door, smiling down at his sister. Willa walked in without saying anything, ignoring the look Wes gave her in response. She waited until he shut the door and walked back into the room, sitting at the edge of his bed.
"I haven't been honest with you," Willa started, messing with her hands.
"I know," Wes simply told her. She looked up at him, causing him to scoff at her in response. "Willa, we're twins. We know each other more than anyone else, you really think I wouldn't notice when you're going through something?"
"I-I just assumed you thought it was because of Noli." Willa shrugged.
"Well, yeah, I did." Wes shrugged. "At first, anyway. But when something happened last night and you wouldn't let anyone near you - when you wouldn't let me near you, I knew it was more than that."
"I-I just-" Willa stopped. Tears threatened to spill as she struggled to find the words. Besides the small statement she told Oliver earlier that day, she hadn't said anything to anyone.
Then again, she hadn't really planned on telling anyone anything. She was struggling. Usually, she wasn't the type to tell people her problems. But she didn't understand why she was struggling with this, especially since it'd only been a day since anything had happened.
She took in a shaky breath, looking down at her hands. Her nailbeds had started to bleed since she had been picking at them, but she wasn't surprised. She just continued to pick at them, thinking of how she wanted to tell her brother. "I was attacked last night," She finally said.
"W-what?" Wes stood up from the bed. "Willa, why didn't you say anything?"
"How am I supposed to?" She asked, looking up at him. "What are you supposed to do when the person who's supposed to love you the most hurts you? When it's someone you thought you were supposed to love the most, but you don't?"
Wes looked at her, watching as tears started to spill down her cheeks. His mouth fell as he went to respond but failed, unsure of what she meant.
"Marcus, h-he-" She stopped, running a hand through her messy hair. "He tried to-to have sex and I didn't- I didn't want to-"
"Willa, what are you saying?" Wes softly asked, slowly moving toward her.
"He wanted to have sex and I didn't and I tried to get him to stop-"
"Did he rape you?" Wes bluntly asked, holding his hands out slightly.
"N-no-" She shook her head.
"You can be honest with me, Will we can do this together we can go to mom together-"
"No!" She exclaimed, shaking her head quicker. "He tried but I hurt him. I hurt him really bad and I haven't been around him since besides earlier but h-he-" A sob escaped her lips and she pressed a hand to her mouth, the realization of what happened hitting her like a truck.
"Willa," Wes mumbled. He wasted no time in pulling the girl in for a hug, wrapping his arms tightly around her frame.
Willa cried in her brother's shoulder, holding onto his shoulders tightly. "I-I'm sorry I-I didn't t-tell you," She cried.
"Don't you ever be sorry for not telling me something so private," He told her softly. "I just wish I knew sooner. I've been so ignorant."
Willa shook her head, failing to find the words to say. She just continued to cry, accepting the affection her brother was giving her. She needed the hug more than anything, especially since she'd already been tearing herself down before everything that happened with Marcus.
"I should've been there, I'm sorry." He told her. He looked past her and just listened as she cried.
The more he thought about the weight of what she'd just admitted to him, the more he realized the reality of what had happened to his sister. The last thing he wanted was for her to get hurt or killed, and something so horrible had almost happened to her without his knowledge. He'd been so caught up in everything going on he hadn't realized how badly Willa was suffering, he'd only thought it was Magnolia.
Little had he known that the death of Magnolia Ellons was only the surface of what was bothering Willa. There was much more going on in her life, and most of it had to do with people who weren't running around killing others. It was the person who was supposed to love her the most, just like she'd said.
"I promise, Willa, I won't let anything happen to you from now on."
