I
It had been almost a year since he kicked Annabeth out of his apartment, and though he'd get the occasional blues, he was feeling better than ever. No one around to tell him he was dumb, or tell him that he was doing something wrong, but also no one to talk to when he got lonely, and that was the only part that made him sad.
He hadn't encountered Annabeth in almost twelve months, but now, his phone was dancing on the table, ringing. Percy thought his phone was playing tricks on him.
WISE GIRL
He hadn't seen or said the name "Wise Girl" in almost 365 days, but now, it was there, on his phone.
Percy stared at his phone and let it ring until it stopped. He sighed in relief, until it started ringing again. Reluctantly, he answered. "Hello?"
"Percy? I need your help."
'~^~''~^~''~^~''~^~'
Percy paced around the bakery, waiting for the traitor to meet him. Help? With what? Breaking another heart?
He looked around and saw her. "Annabeth," he called, trying to get her attention.
Annabeth turned, her long, blond hair falling down her back. "There you are."
"I thought I told you never to talk to me?"
She shook her head. "This is urgent, Percy?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Please, do explain."
"It's Peter. H-he disappeared."
