The apartment was small, but you couldn't expect much else from two eighteen year olds. The owners of the apartment, Rose and Kaida, had a small group of friend over. They were watching the news about the pokemon being released.

"I'm totally joining Team Harmony." Rose exclaimed.

"Shhh, they are telling where the Professor's are gonna be!" Rachel said.

The group turned silent again as they watched the small screan closely.

"Where the hell is city hall?" Andrew asked annoyed.

Kaida shrugged, "I think it's by the library."

"Why would they put the professor at the city hall?" Jackson questioned.

"Probably because no one knows where it is." Andrew mutters.

"I looked it up, city hall is a five minute car ride from here." Claire replied as she put her phone away.

Rose pouted, "I don't have a car."

"None of us do." Jackson pointed out.

Andrew rolled his eyes, "How can you own an apartmentand not have a car?"

"I don't know, how can you have a brain and be so stupid?" Rose snapped.

Kaida nudged Rose, "Be nice."

"No."

"Well we probably should get walking if we want to grab a starter." Jackson said standing up.

~time skip~

"Welcome children! My name is Professor Elm, we have Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur for you to pick from." The elder man said as the group entered the city hall.

One by one the teens went up and grabbed a labeled pokeball. Kaida and Claire got Charmander, Rose, Andrew and Rachel grabbed Squirtle, and Jackson got Bulbasaur.

The Professor smiled, "Good choices, once you have gathered six pokemon you may register for a team and enter gym battles. For now I will give you each ten pokeballs, if you need more they will soon be stocked in stores, also pokecenters will soon be built but for now they will be placed in city halls or tents."
