Bree’s POV
Today is the day.
Today is the day where I start my new life. It’s pretty nerve racking if you ask me, but I’m trying to be as calm as possible.
Emily and I had our “romantic date” last night. She helped me pack afterwards and she stayed over, so she could take me to the airport the next day. We had lots of fun, and we even talked about stuff we never talked about before. We cried, we laughed, and we just had an amazing day together. I was really going to miss her, but we promised that we were going to stay in contact and visit every time we could.
“You got everything?” She asks before starting the gas. I just nod, not wanting to talk much. She starts the gas and 20 minutes later we’re at the airport. The drive was pretty quiet. It was hard saying goodbye, especially to someone you really care about, but we knew that everything was going to be okay. It had to be.
The night before, Emily’s mom had come to my house to say goodbye. She told me that if I needed anything that I could count with her, and I knew it. I thanked her for everything she had done for me, and I really was thankful. She helped in so many things, and was still going to look around the house until someone bought it. She told me that she was going to call me once that was done, and that she was going to send me the money as soon as possible. I really don’t understand how I got so lucky to have someone that helped me in all that. If it wasn’t for her I would be lost, honestly.
As I get out of the car and walk towards the trunk, I can feel the lump in my throat. I’m sure there will be lots of tears shed today. Emily helps me get all my suitcases and we walk towards the entrance. Once I check in and leave my bags where they need to be, we walk towards the waiting area where we patiently wait until they call my flight.
“I’m really going to miss you, Em,” I say, my voice breaking a little.
Emily turns to look at me, and I can see that her eyes are getting teary. “Hey, we talked about this,” She says, giving me a small smile. “We will see each other again, that’s for sure. We’re going to stay in contact and you’re going to tell me everything about your awesome life in London!” And at that I can’t help but chuckle a little. She always knows how to make me feel better, even if it’s only a little. I give her a small nod and just throw myself in her arms, and as I did that my flight is called. The only thing I do is hug her tighter as she does the same. “Everything is going to be okay,” she says. And this is when my tears fall.
“I love you so much,” I say as I pull away, and I notice that she’s crying as well.
She smiles. “I love you, too,” she replies.
I hug her again and a few seconds later I pull away, starting to walk to my assigned gate. Before handing my ticket to the flight attendant, I look back at Emily only to receive a big smile from her and thumbs up. I return the smile and wave one last time, receiving one from her as well. I take a deep breath and finally hand in my ticket. The flight attendant gives me a small smile and a nod, telling me that it’s fine to continue walking. I do as told, and a few minutes later I’m inside the plane. I look for my seat patiently and once I spot it, I seat down letting out a sigh. I make myself comfortable since it’s going to be a long flight, and after a few more minutes of people walking in and looking for their seats, we hear the captain talk through the speakers telling us that we will take off soon. And soon enough we do.
Well, I guess this is it.
Paul’s POV
Today is the day.
Today is the day that Bree comes to live with us.
Honestly, I’m quite excited. I haven’t seen her in a while, and I have missed her a lot. It’s good that we get to be together after all this time, and probably we need each other’s company after all that has happened. I know that this has affected her a lot even though you hardly notice it, but then again it’s hard for something like that not to affect you.
We had arrived from L.A yesterday night and today the boy had their free day. They knew that Bree was coming today and they really wanted to meet her, so they decided to come later tonight when we came from the airport.
It is currently 2:30 pm, meaning that I still have to wait two hours before her flight comes. I won’t lie, I was a bit anxious. I really wanted to see her again, but most importantly I was still nervous on how she was going to take the news. I mean, going on tour with One Direction can be your dream come true, but not for everyone.
“Just two more hours,” My wife, Clodagh reminds me with a smile on her face.
I smile back and nod. “Yeah, time is going by so fast.”
“Are you excited?” She asks, and all I do is nod, the smile still on my face. “I really can’t wait to meet her.”
“You’ll love her, and I’m sure she’ll love you,” I say, kissing her forehead gently, gaining a sweet, caring smile from her.
.
5:30 pm.
She must be here any second now. I was waiting patiently in the waiting area, looking at the automatic doors as different person got out of customs. Suddenly, a young girl catches my attention. A smile appears on my face as I recognize her. It’s Bree.
Her hair is so much longer and blonder, but not that much. Her light brown eyes shine when she looks at me, a small smile suddenly appearing on her lips. I walk towards her, and she runs a little suddenly throwing her arms around my neck, embracing me. I wrap my arms around her waist, hugging her tighter. I really had missed her.
“Hello Uncle Paul,” she says, pulling away.
“Hello, sweetie,” I reply. “How was the flight?” I ask, as I take one of her bags and we walk towards the exit.
She shrugs, and this is when I notice how sad she looks. Maybe it’s because it was hard saying goodbye to her best friend, but I just can’t put aside everything that has happened either. “It was okay,” she says.
I smile a little. “Excited to see London?” I ask. She looks at me and with a small smile and she nods. We walk out of the airport and towards my car, making small conversation in the way. “You seem kind of sad,” I finally say. “Is everything okay?”
She nods. “Yeah, I’m just a little tired from the flight. That’s all,” she replies. And even though I know that’s not the whole true, I just let it go. I can’t push her to tell me anything. At least not yet.
I put her bags on the trunk of the car, and we get inside after, soon enough starting the gas and driving home. “Well, at least I hope you’re not too tired to meet a few people today,” I say.
Her eyes widen a little. “Already?” she asks.
I nod. “Yeah, they’re going to be around a lot, so it’s good to get used to them since now,” I explain quite softly, trying to put the words together.
“Does this has to do with your job?” She asks. I nod and give her a small smile. “I understand.” She replies. After a moment of silence she talks again. “Oh, what was that thing you were going to tell me?” She says, quite excited.
I chuckle. “It has to do with the people you’re meeting today.” I explain. “If you like them, then it’s going to make you feel better, I guess.” I chuckle nervously, as I see a confused expression in her face. “It’s hard to explain, but once you get to know them you’ll understand what I mean,” I say. She nods and turns to look outside the window as we pass different kind of buildings and some trees.
Bree’s POV
20 minutes later, we finally arrive at Uncle Paul’s house. I must admit it was really beautiful. It was big, but not that much. It was just the perfect size, I guess.
Once he parks the car, I get out and walk towards the trunk, a déjà vu coming from this morning. I get a few bags and he insists to get the rest. We walk towards the entrance and we’re suddenly welcome by a young, beautiful woman.
“Hello, sweetie!” She says, getting excited. “I’m glad to finally meet you,” she says, giving me a hug. “Your uncle tells me a lot about you.”
I smile. “It’s good to finally meet you, too,” I say, pulling away slightly “You must be Clodagh.”
“The one and only,” she replies and I can’t help but giggle. “Now come in and make yourself comfortable,” she says, grabbing my bags and guiding inside the house. “You don’t need to be shy around me. This is now your house too,” She says and I can’t help but feel quite happy. She just makes me feel so welcome and I love it. I look back and I see that Uncle Paul is now following us.
“We’re going to show you your room, and you can go ahead and unpack if you want,” He says. “Or not, I know that you’re tired, so you can do that tomorrow too.”
“I’ll probably do it today,” I reply as we go up the stairs. This house was absolutely beautiful.
“Well, this is it,” Clodagh says as she opens the door to one of the many rooms. And as I get to see it better, my eyes widen and my jaw drops. It was so much bigger than my last room. Even the bed was bigger, and I can’t imagine how big the closet is.
“Wow, thank you so much,” I say honestly.
“It’s not a problem,” says Uncle Paul.
Clodagh nods. “This is your home now, and if you need anything you come and tell us.”
I nod. “I will,” I reply. “Thanks.”
“Now, freshen up because our special guests are coming soon.” Uncle Paul replies with a smile. “We’ll be downstairs in the kitchen preparing something to eat.” He says, walking towards me and planting a soft kiss on my head.
“Will do,” I reply. They give me a small smile and slowly walk away towards the stairs. Once they’re out of sight, I turn around and let myself fall on the bed, letting out a sigh in the process. Well, everything’s going okay so far. I wonder who these special guests are though. I’ve noticed that Uncle Paul gets excited and kind of nervous at the same time every time he mentions them. Only a few minutes until I get to know them though and honestly I don’t know if I should be worried or nervous. I wonder what they’ll think of me.
After washing my face and applying a little bit of makeup I go back downstairs. I was going to change my clothe, but I figured out that I was fine with what I was wearing since it was something casual anyway.
“Do you need help with anything?” I ask as I walk inside the kitchen.
“No, that’s okay love,” Clodagh replies. And then the bell rings.
“That must be them,” says Uncle Paul. “Can you please get that Bree?”
I nod and give them a smile and walk towards the entrance. I open the door and my eyes widen immediately.
It’s the blonde boy.
The blonde guy from the mall.
It’s Niall.
But this time he’s not alone. He’s accompanied by four other boys, and this time I put everything together.
It’s One Direction.
