Pt.3

-Mingyu

"I-I don't know if I'll be able to tell you." He says, looking down.

"Can you try? I want to help you, but I don't know how if you don't at least try." I say softly, petting his hair.

"Well...I think it started when I was about 8..."

"What started?"

"I went home from school late one day, and on my way home he-" His breathing starts to quicken and he suddenly stops speaking. I put his head on my chest and rub his back, calming him down.

"The man, h-he took me. He dragged me into the alley and, a-and he started to touch me-" His breathing becomes un-eaven again so I do the same as I did last time.

"At the time, I didn't know what was happening. I was just so scared, mingyu. I didn't know what to do. At first I tried to get him off of me but then he grabbed my throat. A-and then he took me to a house and threw me into a big room."

He stops speaking for a minute and then starts back up.

"They told me that I either had to p-perform or be punished. I was 8, I had no idea what they were talking about until man came into my room and t-told me to take my c-clothes off."

He grips onto my sleeve, clenching his jaw while looking sad and afraid.

"I would perform for a week until I couldn't take it anymore and then received the punishment, which was getting b-beaten. I would do both until I couldn't stand the other. I lived like that until about a year before I became a trainee. I f-finally escaped on the night that he got a new toy." He stared at the wall for a few seconds before tears started to flow down his cheeks.

I pulled him into another hug, petting his hair again.

"I'm so sorry, Wonwoo. I wish that I could've been there to save you."

"There's nothing you could have done, he would have just done the same to you."

"I would have found a way. Anything I could have done to protect you, I would have done it. I still would."

"Thank you."

"You don't have to thank me. I love you."

"I love you too, Mingyu."
