So, I'm FINALLY uploading, I know it's been AAAGGEEESSSS SORRY!!!!!! BUT! I hope this is a good chapter (Crosses fingers) to make up for it! 

How'd I get this far???? loooool!!!

Okay, so, I'm warning you now, this chapter is not gonna be the same as how I wrote it on paper as I completely changed the ending of Chapter 11 from what I wrote by hand to what I typed. So please excuse me if it's crappy, as I'm not used to completely improvising :S I'm a little worried how it's going to turn out so could you please comment afterwards and tell me how it was??? Even if it was shit, I would like to know so I can either change it or... well, that's all I can do loooool!! xD So yeah, please do tell me if it's any good or not :) It might not make any sense or correspond to any of the other chapters, before or after this xD looooool!!!!!! :) Just letting you know.

Chapter 12 (:S)

Darren's POV (When he arrives home after school.)

The feeling of rejection was still flowing through my veins as I remember the episode in the nurses office. I didn't see Tina for the rest of the afternoon, I was partly glad for that fact as, if I had seen her, it would have been extremely awkward. I don't know what's going to happen when I see her tomorrow, but that'll have to wait, I have training tonight. That reminds me, I need to speak to Adonis and arrange for Tina's training to begin. 

Adonis is the ruler of our world. He owns all things magical, beings included. He is a fair ruler - at times I think he has the mind of a five-year-old, but, when he needs to be, he is deadly serious. Trust me, you do not want to get on his bad side... He's a werewolf.

My train of thought is cut off as I hear the front door open downstairs, in an instant I am off my bed and onto the landing to try and spy out who the intruder was. 

Relief and happiness relax me from my tense state, as I look down below and see... My parents. 

I race down to meet them and, though I act like I don't care that they're gone for months at a time, I find I'm almost in tears at the sight of my Mom. Who would've thought that one of the world's biggest predators was brought to tears by something as small as my parents, I mean, I'm 17 for Christ's sake! I'm not a child anymore! But even that can't stop myself from grabbing my Mom, lifting her and twirling her around in a hug. Dad and her are laughing the entire time and-

I wake with a jolt and sit up in my bed.

"It was just a dream." I think to myself and sigh, I really do miss them. Training had really gotten to me earlier, we had been training all week on 'how to hide our emotions', and today we were hiding our anger and sadness. The exercise was that our trainer, Praylese, would try to say something that would anger us and we had to hide it and concentrate on what we were doing at the time. At one point I was punching the huge, metal punching bag as he started to talk...

"The great Keith can't get a girl then? That's different... Last I heard you could woo any girl, human or magical. Oh well, guess you're not as good as we thought you were..."

I just laughed at his pitiful attempt to get me angry, though it partly reminded me of the 'Tina incident' I still wasn't put off.

"What's wrong, Keith? Missing Mommy and Daddy? Nawww... They had a choice, you know? They could have stayed. But they didn't. They chose to go. Guess they don't love you that much."

Okay, that one stopped me laughing, that touched a nerve and he knew it, so he carried on.

"I bet they were just waiting and longing for an opportunity to get away from you. I bet their only problem with it was that they didn't get far enough away... Oh! I'm sorry! Did I touch a nerve? Truth hurts doesn't it?"

I blocked it all out and took deep breaths just concentrating on my breathing and punching the bag, blocking out everything else, every other person, object, sounds everything.

'Breathe! Darren, just breathe! It's only to get you riled up and make you sloppy! Don't pay any attention! Just breathe! ' I thought, 'They never would have thought that, They love you Darren, always remember that. They've told you enough times. ' 

I felt a hand on my shoulder and stopped, and heard Praylese's voice say,

"Good job, Darren. Sorry about that, I know it was low. But you gotta be ready, especially as Phoenix won't hesitate to use any of your weaknesses against you. Okay, Jayden you're up."

The memory flooded back to me and I had to fight back a tear or two from escaping. 

I heard a car pull up outside and tensed, hope rushing through me. Then I shook my head, I wasn't going to get my hopes up, they hardly ever came home, I'm lucky if I see them twice in one year. Then I heard the front door open, but I still remained in my room, just listening to the intruder and ready to pounce at any second, all my senses alert. 

"Darren?" I heard, the voice made my heart almost stop. I slowly got up from the bed and crept down the stairs, the owner of the voice had moved into the front room. I gulped, trying not to let my hopes rise and find it was just a figure of my imagination. I peeped round the doorframe and in the front room, holding my breath, and there they were. I pinched my hand behind my back to check I wasn't I dreaming... And it hurt! They're here! They're really here!

I ran into their arms and was enveloped in a warm, loving embrace, I smiled and breathed in their homely scent that I remembered so well.

"Miss us much?" Mom laughed. I grinned in response and she smiled back.

"So how've things been here?" My Dad asks.

"There's so much to tell you! Firstly, there's a new girl at school-" I was cut off by my Mom's disapproving look, "Okay, it's not like that, you'll never believe it! She's one of us!"

"Okay, son. But you still can't take advantage of the poor girl!" My Mom reprimanded me.

"I wish." I mumbled under my breath. I almost face-palmed right there and then. I forgot that we weren't human, and that they could hear me. Even after what we were just talking about. My Mom raised her eyebrows in a questioning look. "She's resisting my charm," I start to explain, my parent's eyebrows shot up, past their hairlines after me saying that. "It's how I knew she was different in the first place. She's a hybrid. Part vampire, part werewolf and part witch."

They gasped as I finished my explanation, more specifically the 'part witch' part. I rolled my eyes.

"She didn't even know until about today days ago. What she was, I mean." I added.

They both looked shocked to hear this.

"She's amazing, especially when she's in action. Phoenix came to the school today, Jayden and I were fighting him, but it was three against two. Long story short, we were losing, she snuck up behind them and knocked them out. She put a spell on us that made us fall asleep and started working on a potion that, to this moment, she still has no idea how she made. She claims the instructions just popped up in her head. Thankfully we were in the science department, so she had all she needed. But the potion she made was amazing, it fully healed both me and Jayden, without me needing any blood, or Jayden needing to Change. Only really powerful, experienced warlocks and witches can do that, like Herriek, he still hasn't been heard from by the way. Today was the first time she used her powers, and it was... Unbelievable." I ended my little speech and my parents looked shocked beyond belief. My Father snapped out of it first,

"So..." He started, then he started, "SOMEONE'S GOT A CRU-USH! SOMEONE'S GOT A CRU-USH!" He taunted. I could feel my face bloom bright red as I gave him a blank look, but he just carried on... Acting like a child must run in the family, as, a few seconds later my Mom joined in with him. I fled back upstairs to my bedroom and flopped down on the bed. Grabbing my phone. I sent a text to my - now ex - girlfriend Selena. It was true, I did like her. But, it was way more than a crush.

I, Darren Bowler, had let myself fall for a girl...

Tina's POV (The next day - Wednesday)

The news was rippling through the school. As soon as I had heard, a heavy weight had set in my stomach, Darren had dumped Selena, the richest (and sluttiest) girl in the whole school. Guilt was eating at me from the inside, out. I felt responsible for this. If I had never come here, then they would still be together. I heard sobbing coming from the girls' bathroom and went in to investigate. Sure enough, Selena was there, crying her eyes out,

"Get out!" She screamed at me, "Get out! I don't want anyone seeing me like this!"

"Selena? You know he was just using you, right? Just like every other girl. That's why I'm not giving in to him and letting him reel me in." I put a comforting hand on her shoulder, to my surprise she wasn't wearing a top that showed way too much cleavage, and a pair of baggy jeans. I guess she's just the richest girl in the school now. 

She burst into another wave of tears. My heart sort of broke for her. I put two and two together over why she was so cut up about it and why she was now dressed like a 'good girl'. I knelt down beside her,

"Oh Selena, you didn't!" I said, she looked up at me, confused, "Did you give your virginity away to Darren Bowler?"

Her face cracked and she slowly nodded her head and burst into another wave of tears, collapsing into me, throwing her arms around my shoulders and crying into her arm. I patted her back, trying to comfort her, slowly her tears subsided and she got up and we walked out of the bathroom together,

"I have to go to my locker, Tina. I'll see you later?" She asked with a hopeful smile.

"Sure, why don't you come and sit with me and Kaycee at lunch?"

She nodded gratefully and walked away.

Oh. My. Gosh. I had just made friends with the ex-slut of the school. 

I rolled my sleeves up. Okay, now to find Darren Bowler and pull his lungs out through his ass.

I stalked off down the corridor and spotted both him and Jayden at his locker with some other dude, he was probably from the football team. Darren and Jayden had their backs to me while the other random dude was leaning against the locker next to Darren.

He spotted me first and his eyes grew round as he saw how angry I was he tapped Darren on the shoulder and pointed at me. I could now see he was trying to fight laughter.

As soon as I reached them I punched Darren in the face, then kicked him in the balls. He fell to the ground, groaning and - if it weren't for the situation - I'd have laughed at his face. 

"Oooooooh!! You in Troouuble!" The random dude laughed.

"YOU JERK!" I scream at him, "HOW DO YOU EVEN MANAGE TO NOT FEEL GUILTY, WHEN YOU DO THIS TO SO MANY GIRLS?!"

"What're you talking about?" He squeaked back at me.

"I think you know perfectly well what you did!" I say suddenly perfectly calm.

He looked stunned.

"Hmph. I guess I'll have to refresh your memory then." I leaned down and whispered in his ear. I had a feeling Selena didn't want me screaming to everyone that she had given her virginity up to Darren Bowler, "Selena gave you her virginity, and now you've just dumped her like a sack of potatoes!" I lean back out, stand up and stomp on his balls, "Try ruining another girl's life now!" 

I look up to see both the random dude and Jayden laughing their butt's off, they were nearly rolling around the floor. Over their howls of laughter I knelt down and hissed one last warning  to Darren,

"And you wonder why I want nothing to do with you! Listen here, Darren Bowler, and you listen well. If you ever come near me again, I will personally chop off your balls and make you eat them!" He flinched at my words, still holding his wounded area in pain.

I stood back up and flounced away to class, a feeling of victory spread through me and, grinning like the Cheshire cat, entered my registration class and took my seat next to Kaycee, feeling exceedingly happy with my self and what I had done.

Kaycee gave me a weird look, but didn't comment on my mood as the teacher walked in. I quickly scribbled on a piece of paper that she'll either hear about it going around the school, or I'd tell her later, she sent it back and I read the words,

Knowing you it will be something to do with D.B., so you're right, I'll probably hear it around.

She had no idea how right she was, I smirked and leaned back in my chair, folding my arms over my chest and stared out of the window, knowing what had happened will be all over the school by 2nd period.
