Chapter 11

Darren's POV

Jayden stood up looking stunned, and I couldn't blame him. Let me explain :

1. We didn't think she had actually believed us when we told her she was supernatural.

2. For some reason she was glowing, I'd never seen anyone glow before while using their powers. Not even Phoenix, and he's a hybrid just like Tina. Which brings me to my next point;

3. How had she managed - without any training - to fight off three, fully trained, supernaturals?

4. (There's a lot of ways she's shocked us today.) How did she know how to make that potion - again, without any training - that fully healed us both? I've heard of a few witches and warlocks being able to do it without me drinking blood or Jayden finding somewhere to hide and changing in to wolf-form, but it takes them days to make, and they're trained healers! It took her - what? - 25 minutes? This girl never ceases to amaze me.

And 5. Phoenix and his cronies actually dared to attack us on our own ground?! We definitely weren't expecting it here, at school. I can't believe they risked our kind being exposed to the human world.

Only a few humans knew of our kind, supernaturals. Some of them work with us, giving us insider information to what the humans are doing, or if they are any closer to finding out about us.

The rest? They're hunters. A shiver crawls down my spine at just the thought of them. They believe we are monsters - thanks to people like Phoenix - and have devoted their lives to hunting us, finding us, and killing us. I've never met one, or anyone who has and lived to tell the tale.

My Grandpa was killed by hunters, he was out looking for my Mom, she had gone missing while she was playing in the woods. He had changed in to wolf form (Yeah, he was a wolf. It is very rare to be the same breed as your family, even your parents.) as he would be able to see, hear and smell better and find her quicker. He had reached the part of the woods where the trees thickened and it came to the edge of our territory and went on to hunters' ground.

That was when he had started to get worried, because my Mother's scent went on to that part of the land. He carried on anyway and continued to look, it was a trap. The hunters had found my Mother and taken her, but she escaped. She was just running away from them when she found Grandpa.

Gunshots started ringing out all around them and Grandpa could see the hunters coming closer, he told my Mother to run and he tried to fight them off, but it was no use there were too many; even with his superhuman strength he still wasn't able to fight them off.

My Mother had hidden nearby and saw it all happen, the hunters left soon after, thinking that my Mother had run home and my Mother ran to my Grandpa. But, it was too late, he was already dead.

She ran home crying and, when my Grandmother asked her what was wrong, she told her Mother everything she seen and done. My Grandmother told my Mother to go to her room and went out to see him for herself. My Mother followed her, as she did not want to be alone, and saw her Mother burst in to tears.

They'd buried him right there, in the forest, as that was his favourite place to be. However, they carried him to their ground, so he would not be disturbed by the hunters. He was still buried there right now. He had died saving my Mother, his Daughter, whom he loved most in the world, second only to his wife.

My Grandma brought my Mother up alone after that and, when my Mother met my Father, my Mom claimed it was love at first sight. My Grandma was pleased to finally see her Daughter happy, she died herself soon after, but her last words to my Mom  were, "I'm going to be with Grandpa, honey. I'm going to go and meet him, so don't be sad, because I'm not."

My eyes glazed over with tears thinking about it, and, though I had never met my Grandfather, I felt like I knew him from all the stories my Mom had told me about him when I was little. From what I gather he was a very brave, strong, carefree , family man, he didn't deserve to be killed at all, especially not beaten savagely to death by hunters for no apparent reason.

All of these thoughts flew from my head as I saw her eyes flutter. She opened them slowing, but she still looked like she was in a daze from using so much power. A loud crash emanated from outside in the hallway and mine and Jayden's heads snapped towards the sound. Tina, however, seemed totally unaffected as she stood up I grabbed her hand and tried to pull her back down, but, somehow, she resisted - even when I used my Vampiric strength. She slowly started walking towards the door in a daze. I looked at Jayden just as the door crashed open and yelled "DUCK!!!"

It was like everything was happening in slow motion there, standing in the doorway, was Phoenix. Alone. With none of his little back-ups or side-kicks. No. He was completely alone.

Tine carried on walking towards him, ignoring my shouts telling her to stop and duck or run or doing anything, anything except what I think is going to happen now. They're going to fight. But she is going to lose! She hasn't had any training or experience in using her power before today! Heck! She didn't even know she had powers before today!

Phoenix just stood there, looking completely relaxed while leaning against the door frame. He knew he was going to win, too. Then he slowly stood up straight, up off of the door frame, and started to slowly walk towards Tina, while raising his hands and starting to say a few words under his breath. Tina mimicked his actions. but I could hear what she was saying,

"Hespius, dramasus, Prateiea Lespiusa, Manosaaaaan!!!" She repeated this, over and over, until she was shouting them out. On the last word she held the last syllable for a few seconds. At the end of it Phoenix went flying backwards, colliding with the wall. Everything was still in slow motion almost, so you could see the expression on his face going from confusion at the spell, then shock that he was knocked off of his feet, then anger, before he smashed in to the wall and slumped on to the floor, knocked out.

The school bell rang.

She was jogged out of the trance she was in and looked at me, shocked. I shook my head, telling her I'd explain, as best I could, later.

"Are you okay, Tina?" I ask worry filling not just my voice.

"Yeah, of course I'm f-" Is all she manages to get out before she falls to the floor again.

"Tina!" I cry running to her.

Phew! She's still breathing, I've got to make her promise to me that she won't use her powers any more until she has been trained for it.

I pick her up and carry her, bridal style, to the nurses office.

The nurse raises an eyebrow at me as I walk in with her, but I shoot her a look which she immediately understands and hurries to us, telling me to put Tina on to a bed in one of the rooms.

I sigh and let the nurse do her 'thing' and sit down in the corner of Tina's room and fall asleep.

Tina's POV

"Tina?" The giant pink polar bear says softly. Wait, where'd he go?

Then I realised, I was waking up. I try opening my eyes. OW! I quickly close them again, blocking out the blinding light. I'm aching everywhere, especially at the back of my head.

My bed seems a lot more comfortable than usual today. I groan thinking about what Karen and Elijah will force me to rehearse today. Then I remembered everything; moving to America, Tim and Jill, Darren, supernatural powers, Jayden, Kaycee, everything. I shot up, now wide awake and look around, frantic. I relax when I realise that only Darren is there.

"Explain. Now." Are the first words out of my mouth.

"I can't explain everything, because I don't know everything." He tells me with a sheepish smile on his face.

"Then could you please explain how I knew how to do that... That spell?!" I almost shout at him, I hope I'm the only one here at the moment, speaking of here... "And where am I anyway?"

"You're in the nurses office," He starts, then he cautiously continues, "I don't know... I was kind of hoping you would know why... or... how...?"

I just roll my eyes in response, would I really be asking him if I knew?

He's so cute when he's embarrassed...

Just shush, now is not the time!

Oh please! Tell me you think he isn't cute when he's embarrassed! Wait! You can't 'cos I'm you!

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Of course it would be now that I realise how close he is to me... And, judging by his breathing, I think he just noticed that there wasn't much distance between us anymore. I smirked at the reaction I had caused him, which caused him to be even more embarrassed, which made him look even cuter... He even blushed!... Oh god... It's so hard to restrain hormones... 

The next thing I knew we were both moving forward and...

Mystery POV

She is almost ready, just a little bit of training and she will be ready to lead us to victory against Phoenix at last. I have waited for two years for her to come. It doesn't sound long does it? But two years in this filthy, damp, rat-infested well is long enough for me. But I must be patient, it won't be much longer and I'll be out of here. I'll be reunited with my family. I trust Tim to have looked after them and everything I told him. Including the prophecy, I wonder how he'll react when he finds out it's his own daughter who the prophecy foretells. Patience Herriek. Patience. You will soon be able to rid yourself of this hell hole. Soon...

Tina's POV

He was now so close that I could feel his breath on my face. 

"Tina Bolaine you may leave now." We jumped apart. I looked around frantically searching for the owner of the voice, only to find - with relief - that it was just the woman on the tannoy. I got up and walked to the door, as I still had my own clothes on. However Darren had other ideas, just as I was reaching for the door handle he grabbed my hand and flipped me so my back was up against the door. 

He stared into my eyes, as if contemplating whether to do something or not. Before I could open my mouth to ask what he wanted his lips crashed on to mine with bruising force. This was more than just a kiss. There was so much passion in this one action, that I could feel it burning inside me, I could feel what he was trying to tell me : To him this was more than just all the kisses he has shared with any of the girls he has played, he was trying to say he cared for me. But could I believe him? 

No. I decided. He's probably done this to all of those girls, made them feel loved, lured them into a false sense of security then BAM! He dumps them, leaving them confused and betrayed, in tears with a broken heart. Well, I'm not going to end up like one of those girls. I refuse to. I shove him off of me and hurry out of the door, slamming it quickly behind me showing him not to follow me.

I got looks from everyone I passed in the hallway going towards my next class, I just glared back. The ones that had heard or seen what I did to both Jayden and Darren shied away from my harsh glare.

I stormed in to the class - Geography - and slumped down in my seat next to where Kaycee was sitting. 

"Excuse me, I was s-sitting th-th-there..." The boy, pale from fright, that must have just finished talking at the front when I'd stormed in was standing in front of my seat. 

"Really? Were you now?" I retort, sarcastically. Turning my steely gaze on to him. He scurries away, practically running - as if he could feel my eyes boring in to his back

Why was I so angry? Because Darren thought I would fall for his actions, he thought with one kiss I would swoon under his gaze! HA! And he actually thought he could get me to fall for him...

"Hey, what happened? You said you'd be right back to the cafeteria and the next thing I hear you're in the nurses office. Are you okay?" Kaycee asks from the seat beside me. 

"Yeah, I'm fine. It was nothing I couldn't sort out myself."

But what made me angrier than him thinking that he could get me to fall for him?...

Was that I almost had...

Sooo... Could Tina be falling for Darren? Tell me what you think should happen in their relationship?? Tell me who you think Herriek is?? Who do you think Phoenix is under the mask?? LOOL!!! Why do you think Tina is so important????? LOOL!!! SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!!

Anyway...

In my hand writing (Which is HUUGE!) this is 3 pages... lol!! That's how much the chapters change when I upload them... LOL!!! Hope you enjoyed!! I'm not sure how many pages this will be... But it's longer than the last chapter, so I think it will be 3 or 4 :) So please comment and vote? :D
