Adriel POV

Four months, that's how long ago Colly was last here with Xavier and it's been a couple weeks since he left to go to Italy. When I heard he left I couldn't help but to feel it's all my fault for him leaving, for the pain he's in and for the distance he put between him and his family, again. I regret not telling him I am his mate even more as the days pass. If only I was strong enough emotionally to tell him, he would be home, happy and loved. His family wouldn't feel like it was before when he left either. I need to get this off my chest and tell someone. This burden is weighing on me too much these days. 

As I was about to go find Jake, in walks Xavier with a man next to him, I studied the man to get a read on him and I looked into his soul and saw his life, the things he had done, the things that were done to him, I felt his pain and sorrow, his regrets. All of it but what stood out the most is when he rescued Alexander…

"Alexander." I whispered and the man snapped his head over to me and had a shocked face.

"I haven't heard that name since the night I freed him." The man, Titan said. 

I saw Alexander's torture, his time being held, I felt his pain. I need to find him. I thought he died years ago. 

"Do you know of his location?" I asked Titan and he slowly nodded.

"Yes, I believe he is still with Logan. I wanted to free him again but I also couldn't risk my sons life. I could care less about my own but not my son. It was hard enough getting the angel out of there and us so when I heard he got captured again, I was torn on helping him or staying hidden." Titan said, looking down. 

"I need the address because I can't sense him." I stated and he told me the address. 

"I'll be back." I said and was about to fly away when Skylar walked in, looking relaxed until he saw Titan and they greeted each other and said how they knew one another. Everyone sat down to talk, mostly about Collen and the curse. I'm about tired of people targeting this pack and family. They have been through enough. 

"I need to go, I need to find someone who I just learned is being held by Logan." I said suddenly, not being able to wait any longer.

"Wait, my uncle has someone you know?" Skylar asked and I sighed. 

"Yes, he has a fellow angel. One whom I thought died years ago because I couldn't sense him any longer. Now I know why. I need to go find him and bring him here." 

"I'm going with you." Skylar and Titan said at the same time. I didn't have time to argue so I had them stand next to me, holding hands after we all said we'll be back and I took off to Washington to find my fellow angel and best friend. 

We landed right in front of the cabin and I listened for any sounds inside but heard none thankfully but also not, if there aren't any sounds Alexander could not even be here or he's dead. I cast a spell to take us inside the cabin and I heard a soft slow heartbeat. I followed the sound and Skylar did as well since he can hear it. We go down a set of steps and it leads to an empty basement, nothing in sight. We looked around and I saw the outline of a door, blended into the wall. I go over to it and push all the way around, hoping for it to open. 

Skylar walked over and when he stepped on a spot on the floor, the door hissed and it opened, revealing a dark room that had a horrible stench to it. I made the room light up and when my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw Alexander, hanging off the ground in chains, bloody and beaten. I quickly casted a healing spell and removed him from the chains. When I felt his skin on my body, I felt sparks and his scent of jasmine and earth hit me like a ton of bricks. Alexander opened his eyes and looked at me, once he realized I was there he smiled and closed his eyes again. 

I lifted him in my arms and we all left the cabin with a warning to Logan. When we returned home, it was late so Titan went to bed and Skylar went home. 

I put Alexander in my bed and sat on a chair next to it, holding his hand. He's my mate. How? I thought Colly was but maybe not? I'm confused because I was sure Colly was my mate at one time. I hear a groan and look at Alexander to see him looking at me.

"Hey there." I said softly, touching his cheek.

"Is this a dream? If so, please don't wake me." He whispered and I smiled. 

"No this is real. I met a man who you know and he told me where you could possibly be so Skylar, Titan and myself went to see if you were there and we found you. You're ok, you're safe now Alexander." I said and he closed his eyes and I saw tears falling down his face. 

"Thank you." He said and I got onto the bed and wrapped my arms around him and held him close, taking a deep breath of his scent, feeling all kinds of ways inside. 

"We're mates." He said and looked up at me, I looked down at him and he put his hand on my cheek and pulled my head down and I felt my belly do summer salts and I closed my eyes, waiting to feel his lips on mine. When I felt the soft smooth lips of Alexander, I got lost in the kiss, loving how it makes me feel light headed and relaxed, a feeling so foreign to me but loving it all the same.

He moved from my side and got on top of me, laying on my body, deepening the kiss, causing my body to react in ways I didn't know was possible. This being my first kiss in all my years of life, I don't know what to expect. I have seen people kiss and even mate but when it comes to my own body, it's all new.

"Goodness Adriel, after so long of imagining this, it can never come close to the real thing." He said looking into my eyes, slightly panting and his face red.
