Calder POV

Life has a funny way of messing things up. My brother and I had everything we could possibly want... that is until hunters raided our clan and started killing everyone. My brother and I managed to wipe out most of them but we still got captured. On our way to wherever they were taking us the moon began to rise and I was losing control of myself. I tried to stop myself but this damn moon curse makes me crazy, I go into an unstoppable feeding frenzy until the sun rises. Callahan got lucky, he was graced with moon and darkness being on his side and I have sun and light abilities. Anyway, after the sun rose we ran off to find shelter. Father and Dad or "Mama" as Callahan calls him wired us some money as they got survivors to safety and to our brother clan. Our uncle, Carlin's clan. He's so amazing, he's like the Carlisle of our family, he's so giving and his self-control around humans makes everyone jealous. Before you ask, no he doesn't work as a doctor and no he didn't turn anyone. My entire family line was born with the exception of a few adoptees who were dying and consented to become a part of the family.

"Calder hurry up, we'll be late for class." Ugh... he's always gotta be the responsible one. I didn't even want to go to college but baby bro here wanted to mingle with the humans and become a...I don't even know but he'll be listening to children complain and rant about their problems.

"Yea, yea, I'm coming." I follow him and go to my chemistry class and groan.

Hours later I was going to the dining hall when I bumped into someone ready to tear them apart but when I looked up I saw the most beautiful man but I shook it off.

"Sorry young dude." The man in a hardhat said walking off with another man in a suit.

I grunt and continue walking towards the dining hall and finding my brother and his overly obnoxious giddy self.

"Bro I smell the most intoxicating scent, it smells of honey and jasmine, it's all over you. "

"Your point being? I just bumped into this construction dude or something I wasn't paying much attention as I was sitting on my ass waiting for him to help me up but whatever, that asshole." He swatted my arm for swearing and I rolled my eyes.

"No sass mouthing mister."

"Bite me."

"That can be arranged." I blush and hit him in the back of the head. He acts so pure but he's a kinky bastard into pain, pleasure, leather, you name it he loves it. Hm, and I'm the savage one. Callahan is such a pervert that not even church can save him.

"Ow!" He pouts at me and I kiss his cheek quickly apologizing for being rough.

"No sex tonight ya asshole." He smirked and I grabbed his dick growling possessively and he moans. He's such a horny sucker, no pun intended.

"So do you think the guy I bumped into was our mate?" He thought for a bit and nodded.

"If he is, he's long gone now, lunch is almost over." I'll track him down soon enough.

After classes were over we managed to track down our 'mate'. What we didn't know was we were on wolf territory and we're in deep shit.

"Who are you and what are you doing on our lands?" One of them shifted and he looked hot and tough as shit but he didn't seem threatening, he seemed to be powerful from his aura though.

"No need to interrogate them, Skylar, we saw them earlier." The man who was wearing the suit from earlier said walking towards us.

We heard a loud thud and leaves crunching behind us causing Callahan to jump. He's a disgrace to the vampire kind for jumping at such noises.

"Really bro?" I sigh.

"Their my mates." Everyone turned to the man I had seen earlier shocked at what he said. The man in the suit looked disappointed and a little hurt at the news my mate just shared and he turned, walking away from us.

"My goddess, how many are there?" Skylar said and sighed. I wonder what he meant by that.

"They just keep popping up, like daisies it seems. No matter, hello I'm Skylar, the man behind you is Alexander, the man that walked away is Collen and there are others but are busy. You're welcome to come in and visit, get to know one another for a bit." I looked at my brother and he smiled, nodding his head and so I agreed. It can't be too bad in a house full of wolves, they don't seem like a threat given they didn't attack us for being on their land when they had every right to do so.

We followed the two men and walked out of the forest, and in front of us was a huge house with houses on either side of it and a lot of people and vehicles all over the place. We saw children running around being chased by adult wolves, then training on one area of the land, saw people in a pool, cooking, just everything you can imagine in a neighborhood was going on here in the packlands.

"Collen, you walking away was rude of you." Skylar said when we came up to a group of people who are all beautiful in one way or another.

"Not now Skylar." Collen grunted and went back to talking to someone else.

"I apologize for being rude, I'm Alexander, may I know your names?" God his voice is so sexy.

"My name is Calder and my brother is Callahan." I said and the next thing I know, we're wrapped up in his strong arms and it felt comfortable hugging him. I took a deep breath, inhaling his sweet honey and jasmine scent, making me feel slightly light-headed and majorly turned on.

"Pleasure meeting you mates." He whispered in between us, his hot breath hitting my neck and I shivered, I felt Callahan shivered next to me also.

"Take that elsewhere, don't need the little ones seeing." Another man said. He was a little taller than Skylar and he had a round belly.

"Excuse me Mr were done having kids but my mate got me pregnant again." Alexander said and Skylar shrugged his shoulders.

"Wasn't my fault Connor didn't go with Sam and Eric to get their shot. I wasn't even here so can't blame me." Skylar laughed when Connor pouted.

"You could have sent me a text reminding me to go see Jaylen. You know how busy we are." Connor argued and Skylar kissed him.

"I'm not upset, I told you when you told me you're pregnant that I was extremely happy because I wanted more pups and we got blessed with two more."

"So, where are you both from?" Alexander asked and offered us a seat and gave us a plate of food, I didn't even see him get it for us.

"Washington state, and thank you. We got accepted at the university here and moved here a few years ago, we're seniors so we graduate this year." Callahan answered and started eating his food.

"Why were you at the school today? Are you in college?" I asked Alexander and he shook his head.

"No, I was with Collen because he was showing me his work. He is always serious and I had asked him one day if I could see what he does every day and now I understand why he is always serious. His job is very demanding especially with getting it done in a certain amount of time. He owns a big construction company and has a lot of jobs lined up and one of them is the school so we were at the school to check out the gym and the field, the cafe, and locker rooms."

"Awesome, they definitely need some work done. Will it be done soon?" I asked and Collen only nodded, not talking much.

"Yea, within a few months if that. With how many people work there, it'll be done sooner rather than later." Another man answered, he had shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

"I'm Sam, one of Skylar's mates. Hi Sky, hi Coco." Sam kissed them and sat down, pulling Connor onto his lap and rubbed his belly.

"That makes sense. How many kids do you all have?" I asked since the comment about not having more has been on my mind.

"These two will make eight. They are the third set of twins also. Our kids are adults now so it's exciting to have new babies around again. Our granddaughter is a year and a half and she is the only little one around at the moment. Others in the family are waiting to have kids which I don't get since they aren't getting any younger." Skylar said and several people looked over at him, shaking their heads.

"If we wanted kids, we would have them. We aren't in any rush." One guy said he had big muscles and short brown hair. He was holding a smaller man with brown hair and blonde tips and brown eyes.

"Well when your mate is as old as your son, it makes it a little weird." Collen said and everyone stopped talking and looked at him.

"What is that supposed to mean? You know there is no control on whom is mates to whom Collen, we don't control what the goddess chooses herself. You are becoming more bitter as the days go and I don't understand why." The guy in the big man's arms said and again, no one said a word. It's like they know what is going to happen. Callahan looks nervous and is biting his lip, shaking his leg and looking between Collen and the other man.

"No we can't but all of you have either formed a bond with one another or are true mates but not one of you have tried forming one with me. Hell we were going to get married Xavier, but you met Titan and when I came back, it's like you forgot all about me when you said you would still be in my life even if it's as friends. I was spending a lot more time with Alexander but now that he's met them, I'll be forgotten again and I get it but it seems when I get close to someone, they leave. Like no matter what I do, the people in my life besides Killian, left in one way or another and lately, he isn't even spending much time with me as he now has six of us so don't worry about me. Just do you and leave me alone." Damn, I'm not even his mate and that hurt like hell to hear. He got up and walked into the house. Everyone sighed in unison and I couldn't help but chuckle at the action.

"It seems that is something of a mess." I said and took a bite of my food.

"Well there goes my mood." Skylar said and also went into the house. I wonder what is going on but it's not my business so I won't ask. We just met these people so I don't feel right asking, I'm sure we'll learn in time.

Everyone went back to talking and eating, some asked us questions about our life, where we grew up besides just Washington state, and asked about our family. Normal things you ask someone you meet. I have a feeling our lives are going to be much crazier now that we met Alexander and this family from the sounds of it with what Collen had said. Did us finding Alexander or him finding us cause something to happen between them two? He's our mate so whatever went on, will no longer be.
