CHAPTER 21- I'd rather be crazed than contained. 

Maddie's POV 

 "In forty-five minutes, sure." 

           I struggled in her arms but Demi held me tight. "Demi let go." She was stubborn, "Maddie stop it. I'm not going to let you purge no matter how long I hold to hold you here. One bowl of cereal is not going to make you fat." I strained against her hold as the demons started. 

FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT FAT!!! 

            I collapsed into Demi, covering my ears while the chants grew louder. "Nooo." I moaned, and began to cry. "Maddie calm down babygirl. They can't hurt you. They can't hurt you unless you give them the power to." I sobbed into her shoulder, "Demi they're too loud." She rubbed circles into my back. "Shh babygirl, just turn down the volume. Focus on me and my voice." She continued to whisper encouragements into my ear and I stared off, fighting the urges that were slowly overtaking me. 

             After a while, Demi checked her phone. "Alright. You're good." I leaped up, only to have her grab my arm again, "It's digested. Nothing will come up you're wasting your time and energy. I looked down, feeling as though my stomach was ballooning out. "No. There has to be a way. Get it out." I nearly screamed, clawing at the skin on my stomach. Demi pulled me close, "It's okay babygirl, I know exactly how you're feeling, and you can get through it. Okay?" I nodded, even though I didn't believe a word she said, "Okay."

FROM; Drewbear! 

Hey beautiful, did you eat?" 

TO; Drewbear! 

Yeah... Demi made me... :/ 

FROM; Drewbear! 

Good! I'll see you in ten(: 

           I put down my phone with a huge smile on my face. Demi looked up from her nails, "Woah there, don't want your cheeks to explode!" "Shut up!" I felt y face heat up and blush red. Demi pretended to look annoyed, "You know it's really hurtful that you don't smile like that when I walk into the room. Drew isn't THAT special you know." I giggled, and jumped onto Demi, causing her to fall back against the bed and kissed her face all over, "I love you my beautiful sister!" she let out a joyful cackle, "Love you too Madison."

          "So where to my princess?" Drew asked as I got into his car. I shrugged, "Anywhere." He smirked, "Your wish is my command." With that, he zoomed off. I plugged my phone in and turned on a random playlist. 'The Cab' boomed through the car but Drew stopped me as I went to turn it down, turning it up in the process. "C'mon Madhatter! Let's be reckless! Play our music and sing too loud, drive too fast, they'll all wish they were brave enough to be like us!" I laughed, "And who's 'them' Drewbear!" He hit a button, and the top of the car rolled down to form a convertible. "Everyone!" His eyes were alight with a fire that had first caused my feelings for him. "Everyone will be jealous of us Madison, You just wait and see, soon there will be thousands of people lining up just to catch a glimpse of us. You think Demi is big?!" He licked his lips with anticipation, "We'll be HUGE! Just you and me." I couldn't help but laugh at his ludicrous ideas, "You're crazy!" His hair whipped around with the wind as the car accelerated even faster. "Maybe that's true! But I'd rather be crazed than contained!" His words echoed in my head, 

"I'd rather be crazed than contained!"

         Three hours later Drew pulled into my driveway. My lips were swollen from the kissing we did today and it's awesome. "Well Maddie? Time to go." He got out of the car and opened the door for me, "But alas, this is not farewell." I giggled as he dramatically took my hand and led me to the front door, "I wish to meet the one you call 'Dad.'" He knocked on the door and I gasped, "Now?!" He nodded enthusiastically, "Without hesitation my love! We must do this at once!" Again, his posh accent and proper behavior made me erupt in laughter. He joined me just as the door opened. 

          "What's going on here?" My dad stood there with his arms crossed, Demi and my mom behind him. "Hello Mr. Delagarza." I nearly sighed in relief as his voice had returned to normal. "Hi." My dad was stiff. "I wanted wanted to formally introduce myself, I'm Drew. Maddie's boyfriend." My dad's jaw tensed as mine dropped. What the fuck?! You don't just come out and say that! I wanted to scream as my dad's face drained of color, then turned a dark, angry shade of read and finally went back to normal. I could see the gears working in his mind; Accept the boy, versus be murdered by your wife and two daughters. It was pretty even, but eventually he stuck out his hand with a small smile, "Nice to meet you Drew." 

             By the end of the night, Drew and my dad had clicked. the thought of this boy taking away his little girl drifted from his mind as he got more and more into his argument with Drew about sports. When I walked Drew to the door later that night, I couldn't help but question it. "I didn't know you liked sports." He wore an amused expression and sheepish smile. "I don't, that was all made up on the spot." I laughed, a cackle like Demi's. "Well I think you nailed it." Drew kissed me quickly, "Absolutely."  D

             When I walked back into the kitchen, my dad sighed. "Did you have to pick one that's so hard to not like?" I giggled, "Sorry daddy."
