Chapter 2 of Save Me enjoy!

I walked to a store nearby to buy another saw suitcase which I needed. I found one that came with an extra handbag for free which was a total win-win in the end. Leaving the store I bumped into a guy.

"Hey Isa what are you doing here?" I heard a guys voice asked. I looked up to see Lewis he looked down at my suitcase and bag.

"You're going on a trip?" He asked.

"Um no, I'm not going on a trip. I'm actually moving on Friday. What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Well, I'm going on a to Europe, more exact England ." He said happily.

"Did you say Europe?" I questioned.

"Yeah, why?" He asked confused.

"Because that's where I'm heading off to. I don't know where in Europe exactly but somewhere there."

"Oh, that's cool when do you leave?" He asked looking at me weirdly since I didn't know where I was going.

"Friday," I repeated.

"Me too that's so strange. But we are still going to work on the project right?"

"Yeah of course. Well, I gotta go see you tomorrow Lewis." I said waving goodbye and leaving him behind I have to finish packing.

Today I'm meeting Lewis in the library today I walk in and grab a table and set my laptop on top of it. I was able to afford a laptop since I have a job at the hospital. I know what your thinking you're so stupid how about if someone sees the bruises that your so-called mother and her rapist boyfriend mark on your body. Well, they always tried to punch and kick me around the stomach or my upper arms so no one can tell and when they slap me across my face well some makeup can hide that easily. Clever right?

I hear the door open and I look up to see Lewis walking through the doors.

"Hey, are you ready?" He asked.

"Yes let's get started," I responded.

We were almost done with the project when he got a phone call. He told me he had to go and that he's sorry. I told him it's fine I'll just finish it there's only a little bit left and send it to his email. I finished the project and stuffed everything into my bookbag.

I went to my house took and a shower and fell asleep in my bed. This is my last day here, the last day I will sleep on this bed and hopefully the last day I will suffer from abuse.

The next morning I got out of bed happy that it was finally Friday. I cannot contain my excitement. I'm leaving my past behind. I just hope it doesn't turn out the same. I said bye to an empty house and brought my suitcases downstairs and grabbed my flight information from the kitchen table. I called for a taxi to take me to the airport and made it right on time for my flight.

"Attention passengers we will have arrive in England and we will be landing in 15 minutes." The speaker said.

This is it Isa, a new start for the best

The plane landed and I went to the area where the bags are and grabbed all three of my bags. Then I started looking around to be greeted with a bunch of strange faces.

I have no idea who I'm looking for.

I kept looking around and moved out of the way for those who still have not gotten their bags. I then saw a sign with my name written on it. I walked towards the family of four that held onto the sign.

A new beginning

I kindly waved at them and said hello. How was I supposed to greet them? Say hello and hug them, or give them a kiss on the cheek? That was not going to happen I don't know.

"Hello, Isabela I'm Rob. This is my wife Sam, my son Justin, and my daughter Emma." He said pointing to everyone individually

They looked like a happy family.

A family I wished I had

"You guys can call me Isa, it's shorter," I told them and they nodded their heads.

Rob and Justin each grabbed one of my suitcases and we all headed to their car. We finally all got settled in the car and got ready to go to their home and my new house. I don't know if I should call it home or house just yet.

When we finally arrived I was stunned I got out of the car and was amazed by the house that stood in front of me it was huge. Nothing compared to my house back in Jersey, I lived in a 2 bedroom one bath little townhouse. The kitchen was the size of a bathroom which wasn't even that big, with only two people in the kitchen you will feel like there are hundreds of people in that area that will cause you to find it hard to breathe.

We headed in and Emma showed me where I will be staying.

"There's one bathroom and there's another one down the hallway to your right, this is my room here, Justin's room is right over there, and right here we have your room." She said opening the door. I stood in awe looking over my new room. Emma giggled at my facial expression.

" I'm sorry I just never had a room like this. This is new to me.." I apologized to her this all new to me I never had a room like this, this style or this size.

She nodded her head as if she understood where I'm coming from but I knew she didn't, no one did.

Justin came into my room with the bags I told him, thank you. he simply nodded and told me dinner will be ready in an hour, to get settled in and those were his final words before he left me alone in my new room.

I got settled in my new room in about 30 minutes unpacking most of my belongings. I decided to finish unpacking at a later time and decided to take a shower. After a quick shower, I got dressed in a pair of sweat loose pants and a long sleeve shirt before heading downstairs.

I was welcomed to a nice kitchen that smelled delicious. My mouth began to water my mother never cooked, that was my job. Sam noticed I came in and asked if I mind putting the table ready, which I didn't mind. I got the table ready with Sam we then started to put all the food on top of table mats so the hotness won't mess up the table, something I learned the hard way.

Emma, Justin, and Rob came in and took their seats. My eyes looked around the whole room, all the food on the table, and really took in the fact that they all ate together like a real family, something I never did before and was not used to.

Dinner wasn't awkward at all they asked simple questions and we all got to know each other.

Emma asked if I had any hobbies, and I told her I like to dance and read. Rob asked if I had any jobs and I told him I used to work at a hospital. Justin kept quiet for some time now.

I asked them to tell me about themselves. Rob told me he has been a detective for 15 years. Sam worked as a doctor for 12 years. Emma is a cheerleader, and Justin is a soccer player. Everyone had one place where they belonged. We quickly finished eating and we all cleaned up.

Then they decided to have a game night to make me feel welcome, we decided to play the game 'who am I'

I guess I can say I was a beast in that game since I was right the whole time.

It was getting late and then I decided it was time for bed I said goodnight to everyone and went up to my new room and got settled in my new bed.

For the first time ever I feel welcomed
