Chapter 23: Recovery

Third Person's POV:

It's been a week since Izuku was discharged from the hospital, and to say it isn't easy is an understatement.

Every night, they are woken up by the screams of Izuku.

Since his discharge, Izuku has had nightmares of his time with the league when he was kidnapped.

He would wake up screaming and crying, and it would take either Hizashi or Shouta to calm him down, sometimes both.

Izuku's injuries were healing better than the doctors expected.

When Aizawa and Yamada found out what caused those injuries, they were livid.

Izuku was experimented on by the L.O.V scientist and that was the reason why he was strapped down to that table when Aizawa had found him.

Izuku won't go near anything medical-related, not even if it's Recovery Girl.

He, along with Aizawa was excused from school for a few weeks to help him recover.

They fear that if he returned to school immediately, it would be bad for him as he could be sent into a state of panic at any time. They had yet to figure out all his triggers.

Hizashi and Hitoshi had both returned to school within a week after his rescue.

Even if they had wanted to stay to support them, it wasn't possible as they had exams coming up and we're needed at school.

Because of Eri's background, they were afraid to send her to school, and so she had become Nedzu's student.

(Please read A/N in the end)

Izuku wouldn't talk either. Not to say he needed anything, not to say what happened, nothing.

Aizawa had tried anything, and yet nothing would work.

He was angry. Angry at himself for not being able to do anything, hating the world, the league of villains for.doing this to Izuku.

Izuku had been through a lot in his short 15 years that he had been on this earth.

The world had not been fair with Midoriya Izuku, now Aizawa Izuku.

No matter who it is, Aizawa Shouta does not wish such life upon anyone, whether they be a villain or not.

Thinking about it, if Aizawa didn't find Izuku when he did, Izuku could've turned to villainy if he had not tried to jump when he did.

And if that isn't a scary thought, Shouta doesn't know what is.

Izuku had a brilliant mind, a type of intelligence that is rare to find in person these days that doesn't have an intelligence quirk. For people to have looked past Izuku's natural intelligence in favour abusing him because of his lack of quirk is illogical and wrong.

Shouta was startled out of his thought process by a knock on the door. He sighed before going to the door and opening it, not expecting to see one of his students at his door, who should definitely be in class now.

Bakugou stood there, his mom next to him with a hand on his shoulder. Moral support, he supposed.

"Bakugou."

One word was enough to make his students look up at him, guilt in his eyes. Not only guilt, but regret and hate (more towards himself then someone else.)

He looked broken.

Sighing, Aizawa opened his door wider and stepped aside, motioning his student to go inside.

"Izuku is in his room. Be careful and don't startle him."

He recieved a short nod from Bakugou, before the boy was gone.  Sighing again, Shouta looked at Bakugou Mitstuki, his student's mother, before assuring her that her son will be fine and that he will call her when Katsuki was ready to go home.

Because to be honest, they both knew that Katsuki won't leave his son's side, not if he could help it.

When she nodded and thanked him, she left in her car, off to work. He closed the door behind him before making his way to his son's room.

When he got there, he stopped in shock when he saw that Izuku was hugging Katsuki and that they were both crying.

Shaking his head and smiling a small smile, Aizawa went to the living room to grade his papers with one thought in mind.

'only those two would get the other to respond when everyone else had failed'

It took Izuku another two months to fully heal, in which he was then finally able to go back to school.

In those two months, Izuku caught up the work that he had missed while not being at school, (everything but hero classes).

Katsuki, along with Shouto would also always come over and had spent many weekends here. There was not one weekend that the Yamazawas could name that the two weren't at their house, even if they weren't sleeping over.

They didn't mind though, it was helping Izuku with his mental health and morale. Also, for when neither Shouta or Hizashi could be there for Izuku.

They were happy and greatful to the two young boys.

____

When Izuku's first day back finally came, to say that it wasn't chaos was a complete and utter lie.

"What the fresh fuck?!"

Hey guys!
Been a really long time huh? Sorry for that.

Anyhoo. Finally updated again! Woohoo..

So...Eri was brought into this book in a time line that was before what happened in the anime.

So, as to not confuse you, a little background.

Eri was saved by Aizawa from an extremely abusive family when she was 5. (Not overhaul)

Yup..that is that.

Have a good day/night and stay safe!
