🌸Doctor's Appointment🌸
[funny, Sarada, fluff]
"I don't wanna go!"
"Sarada, you need to get checked up..." Sasuke sighed, "you're three years old already..."
"No!" Sarada ran away from her father, "I don't wanna!"
Oh brother... Sasuke groaned. Now I have to catch her?
"Sasuke? Ready to go?"
"No." Sasuke called as he ran after the little girl, "she doesn't want to go."
"Sarada, sweetheart!" Sakura called as she stepped in front of her daughter, "c'mon, we need to go, honey."
"No!" Sarada cried.
"Sakura..." Sasuke rubbed his temples.
"Sh, it's okay." Sakura picked Sarada up and patted her back, "it won't take long. How about this? If we go to get you checked up, we can get you whatever toy you want!"
"No!" Sarada cried louder.
Sakura chuckled then let out a sigh, "that always works with the kids..."
"Not ours." Sasuke shook his head, "Sarada... Please..."
"No!"
"What if..." Sakura tilted her head, "I'm off of work, but what if I did the check-up? Would that make you feel better, Sarada?"
Sarada looked up at Sakura, wiped her eyes, and blinked.
"Is that..." Sasuke watched her carefully, "a yes?"
"She stopped crying, that's a good thing." The two stared at their daughter's emotionless face. She didn't smile, nor did she frown or cry, "okay. Let's go, before she starts crying again."
The two walked through the village towards the hospital.
"Sakura! Sasuke!" Ino called over to them. She had her own son in her arms, "how are you?"
"Good!" Sakura grinned, "we're just taking Sarada for a check-up."
"Ah! Wow! She's so much better-behaved than Inojin when I took him in." Ino chuckled weakly, "oh well. Good luck!"
"Thanks!" Sakura laughed as she and Sasuke continued on. A few minutes later, they walked through the entrance of the hospital and up to the front desk, "okay. Sasuke, you can take Sarada over to the waiting area, I'll check you in."
"Huh?" Sasuke blinked a few times as he took Sarada from her, "y-you mean her?"
"No." Sakura grinned, "you see, we got these new vaccinations in, and you haven't been vaccinated yet, either!"
"What?!" Sasuke stared at her, then pouted out his bottom lip, "you can't be serious... You're so cruel, you signed me up behind my back..."
She only laughed in response, "Don't worry, you can get checked while I'm with Sarada." But he shook his head.
"If I'm going to have to get checked up, like you insisted, then I don't want just any doctor doing it."
Sakura rose a brow, "huh?"
"Hn." Sasuke shut his eyes, "I can wait for Sarada. I want you to be my doctor."
Sakura jumped back, "wha?! Sasuke, you're a grown man! You don't need me to--"
"No. I meant what I said." Sasuke nodded as he turned and started off, "let's go, Sarada. I saw a fish-tank over there."
"Fish!" Sarada clapped.
"Ahh..." Sakura rolled her eyes and turned to the desk.
"Hi, Dr. Uchiha! How are you?"
"I'm doing fine, Lisa. Thanks!" Sakura glanced back at Sasuke and Sarada, "I'm checking in for my daughter and husband."
"Okay! Their doctor is..."
"Actually, it was supposed to be Shina, but they both want me..." Sakura rolled her eyes, "is that a possibility?"
"Of course." Lisa laughed, "you just need to fill out these forms for them, then you can go on in whenever they're ready."
"Okay, thanks." Sakura sighed as she headed back to the waiting room where Sarada was tapping the glass of the small fish tank, "darling, you can fill out your own form. I'll fill out Sarada's."
"Yeah." Sasuke took the paper and sat down in a seat next to Sakura.
"Mama?" Sarada looked up at Sakura.
"Mhm! I'm going to be with you the whole time. And Papa, too." Sakura grinned, "but we have to fill out this form, first. Okay... What's your name?"
"Uchiha Sarada!"
"How old are you?"
"Fwee!" Sarada held up five fingers.
Sakura chuckled, "three, yes."
"Done."
Sakura glanced over to Sasuke, who was holding the paper out to her proudly, "okay, okay. Sarada, I'll just go ahead and fill this out."
"What's Mama gonna do?"
"Well." Sasuke leaned over to Sarada, who went back to tapping the fish tank, "Mama's going to check your heart, your tongue, your eyes, your toes..."
"Why Sarada's toes?"
Sasuke tapped his chin. He wasn't even sure what Sakura had to do, "To make sure you've got ten."
Sarada started giggling, "Sarada has ten toes!"
"Well, Mama just has to make sure."
"Okay." Sakura sighed, "done. Let's go."
"Come on, Sarada." Sasuke picked Sarada up and they walked through the hallway to Sakura's examination room. When they got there, Sasuke sat on the table with Sarada on his lap.
"Ah! It's Sarada!" Sarada beamed and pointed at Sakura's desk, on which there sat a picture of herself with Sasuke and Sakura, "look, Papa!"
"Yeah, that's you." Sasuke smiled, "this is Mama's office."
"Okay, Sarada." Sakura sat down on her swivel chair, dropped the forms on the desk, and slipped her white doctor's coat on.
"Mama's got a very nice coat now, you see Sarada?" Sasuke smirked.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't flatter yourself, Sasuke." Sakura rose a brow as she took out a stethoscope, "Sarada, I'm going to listen to your heart. Do you want to listen?"
"Yeah!" Sarada clapped as Sakura set the stethoscope eartips into Sarada's ears, then slipped the chestpiece under Sarada's shirt and onto her back, "whoa! It goes boop, boop, boop..."
"Yeah?" Sakura chuckled, "that means you're alive. Now breathe in and out slowly."
Sarada obeyed, then gasped, "wow! What was that swoosh?"
"That's your lungs. It means you can breathe nice and clearly." Sakura took the stethoscope back and pulled out an otoscope, "see this? It's got a little light in the tip. I'll use it to look in your ears."
"Can Sarada see?"
Sakura laughed, "I don't think so." Once she checked Sarada's ears, she covered the light with her finger, "now watch the light without moving your head."
"Uh-huh."
Sarada's pupils smoothly followed the light as Sakura moved it in front of her face.
"Good." Sakura smiled, "you know, Sarada, keep your eyes healthy like this, and you'll have eyes like your Papa."
"Hn." Sasuke smiled.
"Now..." Sakura rolled back over to her desk and took a tray, "we have these new vaccinations..."
"Wah?!" Sarada spotted the needle on the tray, "no!"
"Sarada." Sasuke put his hand on her head, "it'll be okay. It doesn't hurt."
"No!! No shots!"
"It's okay, Sarada." Sakura rolled back over to her and wiped her arm with a sanitizing swab, "it'll just be a tiny pinch, then all done. We'll go get ice cream after, okay?"
"No!"
"Sarada." Sasuke sighed, "I know you're a big girl, so just this one shot. It'll make you grow and it'll make you strong, like your Mama."
Sarada glanced up at Sasuke as her little fists clenched at his shirt, "P... Papa?"
"It'll be okay." Sasuke nodded and smoothed out her hair.
Just as he did, Sakura quickly gave Sarada the shot and pulled away, "see?"
"Oh?" Sarada looked around.
"All done!" Sakura smiled as she set the tray back down onto her desk and stuck a band-aid on Sarada's arm, "good girl, Sarada! That didn't hurt, did it?"
"Sarada's a big girl!" Sarada looked up at Sasuke, "right, Papa?"
"You are." Sasuke chuckled, "now you're all done!"
"Well, Sasuke." Sakura laughed, "you're not."
Sasuke sighed, "I know."
"Sarada, do you want to wait outside with the fish?" Sakura took Sarada from Sasuke and walked over to the door.
"I can't stay with Papa?"
"No, sorry sweetie. I need to check Papa now. Auntie Lisa's out there." Sakura smiled as she walked out to the front desk, "can you watch her?"
Lisa smiled, "Sure!"
"It shouldn't take long." Sakura chuckled, "thank you." Then she ran back to the room and shut the door behind her, "sorry, Sasuke. I had to leave Sarada with--"
"That's okay."
She sat down on her swivel chair and cleared her throat. He'd taken his cloak off, and she clearly wasn't mentally prepared to let him take his shirt off, "okay, I'll need to check your heart and blood pressure, first."
"Oh, I don't get the same treatment as Sarada?" Sasuke smirked.
"No." Sakura rolled her eyes, "you need to take your shirt off."
"Hn." He complied, then tossed his shirt over onto the chair that held his cloak.
"Ahem." Sakura bent her head to keep him from seeing the color change in her face. She moved over behind him, stuck the eartips into her ears, then pressed the chestpiece onto Sasuke's back.
"What, I don't get to listen to my heart?"
Sakura chuckled, "no, sorry sir."
He only smirked.
"Okay, your heart and lungs are fine." She set the stethoscope down, took a blood pressure cuff, and wrapped it around Sasuke's arm, "you did this on purpose..."
"No way I'm letting another woman do my check-up." Sasuke scoffed, "especially if I can let my wife do it herself."
"Heh." Sakura smirked. She went through the necessary procedures that she didn't have to go through with Sarada, which required standing up, bending over, laying down, and other examining she dreaded doing, but he insisted she do it, as his wife.
Finally, Sakura picked up the otoscope, "now your eyes." She moved the light across his face, then noticed features on Sasuke's face she never saw before, and chuckled in response.
"What?"
"I didn't know you had a blemish on your forehead. Right here, under your bangs."
"Heh." He sighed.
"Can you please activate your Sharingan? I just need to make sure your eyes function smoothly."
He obeyed, and their red color glowed under the light.
"Okay." She set the otoscope down and took a fresh syringe and needle, "I know this will really hurt for you, right?"
"Of course." Sasuke smirked, "do I get a toy after this?"
"No." Sakura chuckled, "left or right?"
"Left, I guess."
She wiped his shoulder with the swab and stuck him with the shot, "you're enjoying yourself, aren't you?"
"What? Being left alone in a windowless room with my wife?" Sasuke rose a brow and smirked, "with Sarada around, we hardly get opportunities like this."
"Sasuke." Sakura scoffed, "that's forbidden. Or at least as your doctor."
"Yes, but..." Sasuke moved his hand up to her face and pulled her down so she was nose-to-nose with him, "you're my doctor, aren't you?"
"Heh." Sakura rolled her eyes, "save it for the bedroom, Uchiha." She gave him a teasing peck on the lips before finally pulling the needle out and dropping everything back into the tray, "Mr. Uchiha, I'm pleased to tell you you're in full health, your Sharingan is healthy, your Rinnegan wanders to places it shouldn't wander, you little perv, and everything else should be fine."
"Heh." Sasuke stood up and walked over to her, "thank you, Dr. Uchiha." He grabbed her and pushed her into the wall, "I really did enjoy myself today."
"S-Sasuke!" Sakura tried to push him away, but she soon gave in easily when he dove in and kissed her.
"You're such a tease." Sasuke murmured as the kiss lingered.
The two pulled away as soon as they heard the knocks on the door. A nurse slowly opened the door and peeked into the room, "ah... Dr. Uchiha?"
"Y-yes?" Sakura covered her mouth, trying to hide the blush on her cheeks, "what's wrong?"
"Is that..." The nurse gestured outside in the waiting room, then looked Sasuke up and down as he casually took his shirt from the chair and started putting it back on, "ah... Y-your daughter out there?"
"What?" Sasuke buttoned his shirt and took his cloak, "is she okay?"
"Lisa was watching her." Sakura walked out the door and past the nurse, Sasuke following close behind.
"Mama! Papa!"
Sakura and Sasuke froze when they saw Sarada standing on one of the waiting room chairs next to the fish tank clutching a very distraught fish, "S-Sarada..."
"I catched a fish!"
"Sarada, honey!" Sakura ran over.
"I'm so sorry, Sakura..." Lisa muttered, scratching the back of her neck, "I needed to run an errand for a second, I come back and..."
"It's okay." Sakura laughed as she took the fish from Sarada's hands and dropped it back into the tank, "Sarada, we're done. Let's go home. Apologize to the fish."
"Sorry, Fish." Sarada wiped her hands on her skirt, "can we go for ice cream now?"
"Sure." Sakura smiled, "I promised you, didn't I?"
"Yes!" Sarada jumped around as Sasuke walked over and picked Sarada up.
"You were a good girl!" Sasuke grinned, leaving Sarada in a fit of giggling as they left the hospital.
"Of course she was! She's my daughter, after all." Sakura laughed as she took Sarada into her arms, then suddenly yelped when she felt a hand make its way around her waist and a breath right in her ear.
"We'll continue when we get home." Sasuke whispered.
Sakura shivered and bent her head down to hide her blush.
"Come on, Sarada!" Sasuke took Sarada back from Sakura and chuckled, "since you were such a good girl, why don't you have a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's house tonight?"
Sakura stared at him, "wh-what?!"
"Yeah! Sleepover!" Sarada clapped, "and ice cream!"
Sasuke smirked as he glanced back at Sakura, who'd froze and completely covered her face, "and ice cream."
