Himata

My thoughts were all over the place as I stood in the Hokage's office with everyone. Word about Hanabi's kidnapping spread fast, and as a result, Lord Kakashi summoned Sasuke, Naruto, Sakura, Sai, Shikamaru, and myself to his office. My whole body was wreaked with nerves, but I took comfort in knowing that Sasuke was here. If anyone could help me find my sister, it was him.

"Your mission is to rescue the kidnapped Hanabi Hyuga. Shikamaru, you'll lead this six-man team. I'm also granting Hiñata's request to join the mission. "Thank you very much, sir. "Shikamaru, put your hand forward. "Huh? What for? "He did as told, and we all watched as one of the ninjas standing by Lord Kakashi raised his hand, and a circle formed in the middle of Shikamaru's palm.

"What's this"? "A top secret clock". Kakashi said raising his hand up to show he had one as well. "Only the five kage possess it". "So what's this clock keeping track of"? Naruto asked. "It's counting down the time until Earth's destruction".

Earth"s destruction? But what does this have to do with me and Hanabi? Is that why Tonei was here?

"Wait, I don't get it". Shikamaru spoke. "What does this thing have to do with Hanabi's rescue mission"? He asked raising the hand that held the clock. "Toneri is the one that kidnapped Hanabi and he might also be the one manipulating the moon". "What makes you think that"? Sai asked. "Honestly, it's a hunch".

"It was around here that I lost track of Hanabi and her kidnapper". Sai said as we all flew aboard the ink birds he created., there were three in total. Shikamaru and Sai rode on one together, while Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and I rode on the other two. Sakura and originally wanted to ride with Sasuke but he asked me to join him before she had the chance. "All right, we'll split up and search for clues. Sasuke, take care of Hinata".

"Obviously". He said as the three of us took off in different directions. He rode infant of me guiding the bird while I rode in back, my arms around him for support with both our sharingan and byukagan activated to see things clearer.

For a long time, neither of us said anything. He was focused on helping me and I was focused on finding my sister and not saying anything inappropriate. I couldn't help but let my mind wonder however, it had been months since I was able to be this close to him and it felt good.

For the first time in a long time, I finally felt safe once more. I knew Sasuke would protect me, I knew he would understand what I was going through and how scared I was. It was still winter time but the smoky cologne he wore was enough to warm me up. I could picture a warm fireplace when I smelt it with us sitting next to each other under a warm fuzzy blanket in front of it. I was glad to be partnered with him.

"Sasuke down there". I said looking at the ground. He looked back at me and followed my gaze before gently tugging and guiding our bird downwards. When he landed I jumped down and immediately started digging around in the snow until I came across her kuni with the small teddy bear around it.

This doesn't seem so silly anymore........Im so sorry Hanabi

"This is Hanabi's Kuni......she was showing it to me last night". Instinctively I picked it up and placed it in my backpack next to his scarf. "Is that the scarf you were hanging from yesterday"? I jumped a little not paying attention to what I was doing.

All I could do at that moment was nod. "It's still torn. Here, take mine instead". I stopped him before he could unwrap it from around his neck. "It's fine really, I'm not cold". "Are you sure"? I nodded again. "We should let the others know what we found. We could be one step closer to finding her". He smiled at me. "We are".

After regrouping I showed Shikamaru the kuni and the six of us took off once more, this time with Sasuke and I in the lead. I held onto him once more as he guided our bird and I looked for more clues that could lead us to my sister. "See anything Hinata"? Shikamaru asked. "Yes, there's a glowing spring at the bottom of the cave we're about to come across". "A glowing spring"?

Without saying a word Sasuke commanded our bird to fly faster and took me by the hand after jumping off mid-air. The others followed behind and I stayed close to him as he led our group into the cave. "Look up there". Sai said. We all did and immediately took notice of the letter A that was on the ceiling.

"That's the shinobi letter A as in Aun". "It could mean this is the beginning. Hinata, what can you see at the bottom of the spring"? Shikamaru asked. "My visions distorted......" "So it's distorting your Byukagan"? Sasuke asked. "We'll just have to go and see. Oh wait, can't get this wet". He said taking off his scarf.

"What's the big deal? It doesn't matter if your scarf gets wet". Sakura said. "It does matter, this scarf means a lot to me". "I don't think you'll need to take it off". "Sai said kneeling next to the water and placing his hand in it. "When you touch this water you don't get wet". We looked at each other before jumping in head first and swimming towards the bottom.

Inside dream

It was the end of the school day and I couldn't wait to go to him and give him the note I had been working on during my free time in class. As soon as the bell rang I quickly packed my bag and ran over to his desk only to find he had already left. I wasn't going to allow that to stop me, however. I ran out of the building and straight over to the Uchiha estate with his letter in my hands.

I know this wasn't a proper way for a Hyuga child to behave but I didn't care, all I cared about was giving Sasuke my letter. Thankfully he was still outside walking with Itachi. I knew how this would probably look considering all of the other girls that constantly try to get his attention but I could only hope that he would see my intentions were true.

"Sasuke"! He and Itachi both turned around looking at me confused. "I u uh wanted to give you this after class but you had left already". Itachi smiled. "Go ahead, she must've worked very hard on it for you". I looked at him unsure of what was going to happen but to my surprise, he took it smiling. 'Thank you, Hinata".
