Sakura

It was late at night but I knew this couldn't wait. Hinata has been in love with Naruto for years and as her friend I knew she was too shy to confess her feelings to him on her own, she needed a little help. Thankfully it didn't take me long to find him, he was standing in front of a store talking with a group of girls.

You Baka, that's the problem right there

"Naruto, can I talk with you for a sec"? He looked up at me smiling. "Oh, hey Sakura. Sure thing". The group of girls he was talking to turned their heads to glare at me but I didn't care.

Their nothing but gold diggers anyway

"I'll be right back". He said to the group of girls before making his way over to me. I took him by the hand and walked him over to an empty sidewalk where we would have privacy. "Exactly how much of an idiot are you"? He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about"? "Hinata, Naruto, you are aware she's in love with you right or did you forget she confessed her love to you when you were fighting Pain and tried to protect you from him"?

"Of course, I haven't forgotten"."Then why haven't you done anything about it? Why continue to make her endure the pain of not being with you? Hell she's even making you a brand new scarf because of the cold weather". "I wasn't aware". "Maybe if you spent less time talking to fan girls you would be able to realize that the person that loves you more than anything has been right here all along".

"I'll talk to her I promise but Sakura, are you sure part of this doesn't have anything to do with Sasuke"?. I glared at him. "Sasuke and I are just fine, we're working on it". I said before walking off.

Hinata

Not wanting to head home just yet I made my way to the only place I could think of to seek comfort. Making sure no one saw me I made my way to the forest and to a secluded area that was well hidden by a bunch of bushes and trees. There I gently placed a flower infant of the graves that were neatly placed by the pond of water.

"Hello again, Madara, Hashirama, Mikoto, Hibiki, Stone, Obito, Shisui, Itachi and Mashi. I know none of you were expecting another visit so soon but I didn't feel like going to my Hyuga home at the moment". I sat down cross-legged in front of their graves. "I hope none of you mind but it's easier to talk to you all than it is for me to talk to my father, of course we all know im referring to Sasuke.

I have good news regarding him, I finished the gift I was working on for him I just need to build up the courage to give it to him the next time he returns home.........I also need to build up the courage and tell him how I feel as well if I'm being honest. It also doesn't help that everyone including my own sister thinks that Sasuke's gift is for Naruto and not him.

I know I could clear things up and tell everyone the truth but I don't want to ruin my friendship with Sakura, She's in love with Sasuke as well and has been for years.......I just don't know". I said looking down solemnly.

"So you're not in love with me"? I jumped a little and quickly turned around to see Naruto standing behind me. "How did you find this place"? "I went looking for you after Sakura told me after the scarf, when I couldn't find you in the village I used Kurama's chakra to help find you". "You can't tell anyone about this place, Sasuke can't lose them again". "Don't worry I won't". I relaxed a bit.

"When"? "When what"? "When did you lose feelings for me and start loving Sasuke? I could be wrong but I've never seen the two of you hang out together". "We hung out in secret because I was being respectful of Sakura's feelings for him and didn't want to cause trouble for our friendship, Sasuke understood that.

Let me correct your understanding of things however, I thought I was in love with you but when I sat down and thought about it Sasuke was the one that has always been there for me. Yes, I tried to protect you against pain and yes you were there when Neji died but Sasuke was the one that helped me bury him. When everyone left the funeral he came and sat with me the whole night".

"Let me help you then". "Excuse me"? "Let me help you get Sasuke, you let me worry about Sakura".

Naruto

After saying bye to each other I did the only thing I could do. I made the necessary hand signs for a messenger hawk and wrote him.

You need to come back to the village. We need to talk about Hinata.
