Sakura's pregnant. She's pregnant with my child and doesn't want me to raise him or her as my own. She wants me to be in their life but only as their uncle. I don't know if I can do that. I'm that baby's father, not Sasuke. It's my responsibility to raise them, care for them and nurture them. My parents weren't given the opportunity to raise me themselves, they had to do it from beyond the grave and it was only for a short amount of time.

"Do you want a smoothie to go with your breakfast love"? Hinata asked once I was downstairs. "No thank you, I'm not really that hungry". "That's fine". I watched as she fixed both our plates and sat down after handing me mine first. "Have you heard from Sakura lately? "No, the two of us don't really talk to each other that much anymore".

"I see". She nodded and ate. "Is there a reason for that"? "We just grew apart from being friends, it happens. I did however hear she's expecting". "Yeah, I heard that as well". " Sasuke must be happy". "You think it's Sasuke's"? "Who else could it be? Sakura has wanted to be with him for years, it only makes sense". I said nothing for the rest of the meal.

Like usual I told Hinata I was heading to the office, in reality, I was heading over to Sakura's house. I needed to see her. I needed to talk with her and explain to her everything I was feeling. I took the spare key out from underneath the mat, opened the door, and made my way upstairs to meet her. She was asleep in bed but woke up once she felt the bed shift from me sitting down. "Naruto". She groaned. "Yeah it's me, we need to talk". She sat up rubbing her eyes.

"Is it about the baby"? "It is but it's also about us and our relationship". "Naruto". "Hear me out for a bit before you say anything ok". She nodded. I took her hands into mine and looked her dead in the eyes. "I want to be in this baby's life. I want to be their dad and teach them everything I know.

I want to be the first thing they see in the morning and be the one to tuck them in at night. I want them to know that their dad loves them and will be a person they can look up to and count on. I want to be the dad my father wasn't able to be for me. They deserve that, I can give them that Sasuke can't.

He's always away on missions and doesn't have an ounce of love for you. It won't take our kid long to realize he doesn't love the two of you, Sasuke isn't going to take care of a kid that isn't his. It's pointless for us to even try". "What about your job? What about Hinata"? "You and I both know I don't love her.

You're the one I want to marry and have a family with. I'm not the first Hokage to have a scandal and I won't be the last. This kid will be taken care of and only know love from their parents but I want to be the one that makes sure of that. If I have to leave Hinata so be it, you are so much better than her anyway".

"Naruto". She had tears in her eyes as she hugged me and I hugged her.
