Hinata

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my bedroom window. I couldn't help but smile as I heard their beautiful song enter my ears. I let out a soft sigh before getting up and starting my day. Like every morning I headed into my bathroom to brush my teeth and comb my hair before heading back into my room to pick out a simple outfit for the day,

Today it was a long sleeve light purple shirt with white pants and black sandals. I made my way downstairs expecting to see my husband Naruto but inside of him I found a letter sitting on the table waiting for me,

A sense of sadness immediately wormed its way into my heart because I knew what was coming next. Taking in a deep breath I made my way over to the table, picked it up and unfolded it.

Dear Hinata

Morning beautiful, I'm sorry I wasn't able to wake up next to you but I had to go into work early again. I hope you understand. Don't worry about lunch or dinner I'll pick up something and will probably be working late

I tried my best not to let it bother me. Naruto is Hokage now. The dream he worked so hard towards has finally come true and I have to be more considerate of that regardless of how badly I want him to be at home with me.

When the afternoon came I made my way over to TenTen and Neji's house to help her out with the baby for a bit. After the war ended lord Hashirama was able to save my cousins life which me and my family are beyond grateful for. Shortly after that TenTen confessed her feelings to him and they married within a year with a son following behind a year after that.

I couldn't be happier for them. TenTen has been in love with him for years and Neji has finally learned how to open up to someone outside of the clan as well as share his personal feelings and be vulnerable with.

When I arrived I found TenTen asleep on the couch with their son Akira laid in his crib looking around. "Hi there sweetie". I spoke softly as I made my way over to him. His face lit up right away with him letting out a little laugh.

"Are you happy to see your auntie"? I took him into my arms and cradled him. He let out baby noises. "You are just the cutest little thing ever you know that"? He laughed moving his arms and legs. "So precious". I carried him into the kitchen and held him up with my arm as I fixed him a bottle.

He was only three months but I was made clear on what his schedule was after TenTen came to me asking for help with him. Neji wants to be here with them as often as he can but like always father keeps him busy. I was hoping after the war ended that father would lossen up a bit but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

He's pressuring me to conceive an heir as well as forcing Nejo to take more missions so he can provide for his wife and son.

I just wish that he understood how much TenTen needs Neji right now.

"Hey Hina, thanks for coming over". TenTen said rubbing her eyes as she walked into the kitchen. Akira lit up seeing his momma. "It's nothing, I'm happy to help". I smiled giving Akira his bottle. He drank it happily while looking at his mom.

"Did you sleep well"? "Mhm, thanks for asking. How have you been"? "You're the one that just had a baby, not me". "Don't give me that crap Hinata"  "I'm fine". She gave me a look. "Hinata Hyuga".

"Well, if you must know Naruto wasn't home again this morning but he left a note saying he was at the office". She gave me a sympathetic look now. "I know you've been in love with him for years Hina but how Natuto's treating you isn't right".

"He's Hokage, I have to be more mindful of that. It's only natural he'd be busy". "He could work from home some days but he doesn't even try". "It's fine TenTen really. I'm just happy to be with him". I smiled.

Sasuke

"Welcome back Ssuke". Kotetsu said as I made my way through the gate. I had been gone away on a mission and had just returned. "Is the Hokage in his office right now"? "No sir, he said he had an important matter to take care of and would be in his office tomorrow". "I see". Was all I said before walking off and heading home.

I usually went to Naruto to turn in my mission reports when I made it back but he was obviously unavailable. I could easily track him down and give it to him now but I would hate to interrupt his and Sakura's personal time together.

Hinata deserves so much better then him. She probably doesn't even know,

Instead I headed to my parents house to let them know I was back home and to spend a little time with them before heading home to my house. "Welcome home Sasuke". Mira the head maid said. "Are my parents home"? She nodded. "Right this way". I followed behind her as she led me to the living room where they both were.

"Sasuke"! Papa stood up and came give me a hug right away which I returned. "You look good. How was it"? He asked as we made our way over to dad and sat down. "Nothing I couldn't handel. I wanted to give Naruto my report as soon as I got back but that'll have to wait until tomorrow".

"He's not in his office"? Dad asked. "No, I have my suspicions about what it is he's doing but don't have any proof. All I can say is that it isn't fair to Hinata". "You still care about her huh"? "I never stopped".
