Hinata

Three years. It's been three years since I've last seen Sasuke in person. I have no idea if he's safe or not or if he's eating properly. All I have to go off on are the letters he sends me every now and then.

He's a rouge ninja so it's not safe for him to constantly stay in touch with me. I know him, he doesn't care what happens to him but he's agreed to limited contact with me so he can keep me safe. He knows what will happen to me if my father or the village ever finds out about our secret relationship.

I don't mind. I would love to be able to talk to him more but my letters to him are the only thing keeping a light on in his dark world. That has to be enough for now.

It won't be this way forever

"Lady Hinata, your father wishes to speak with you". Lyric, one of the maids said after knocking on my door. "I'm coming". Quickly I got up and made my way down the hall to my father's office and knocked.

"Enter".

I did as told closing the door behind me.

"You wanted to see me, father"? "I'm sending you on a clan mission. You are to leave the village and go by yourself on a search for medical herbs, we're running low on supplies".

"Hai father, I'll go right away". "Do not disappoint me". "Understood father".

It took me two days but I was eventually able to make my way to the herb field I was searching for. It was miles away from Konoha and outside a small village that was located a mile away from a lake.

I gathered all of the herbs I would need and securely placed them in my basket before getting ready to leave. I had every intention of walking off and heading home but I couldn't. Something was stopping me from walking off and I couldn't ignore the feeling that I was needed.

Slowly I turned around and saw a cave a few meters away. Slowly and carefully I made my way over and entered cautiously. I didn't know what I would find once inside or who I would find but the further I walked the more I was able to relax. His chakra was here but what worried me was of how weak it was.

He's hurt

"Sasuke". I was met with a low groan. The sound vibrated off the walls but I was able to listen closely enough and found exactly where he was. Within seconds I was by his side and found myself becoming worried again as I saw his body covered in blood.

"Hinata". He whispered barely audible with his eyes closed and voice filled with pain. "Who did this to you"? I took out my medical kit and grabbed a water bottle pouring it all over his open wounds after taking his shirt off. He didn't say anything, however.

"You're going to be ok Sasuke, I'm here". I spoke gently cleaning each one of them thoroughly. He groaned in response squirming a little but not too much. "Yes, I know. Everything will be ok".

"Why did you come"? "I didn't know you were here. I was sent by my father to collect herbs but found my way entering this cave after feeling a need to be here". "Y you'll get in trouble". "Sshh, it's ok my love. Just relax for me, you'll be ok".

He did as told. I finished within an hour, neatly wrapped his bandages around him, and held him close to me as he rested.
