SASSY GIRL HAS MY HEART

CHAPTER 15

Sameer hated the sight of Shaurya. He had never mingled with him since childhood. Yes... he was his neighbor, yet Sameer never befriended him. He always had an impression of Shaurya being a spoiled brat. Munna and Pandit being Sameer's best friends very well knew that he hated Shaurya to the core.

Sameer had a grudge towards Shaurya since childhood. He had once made fun of Munna and Pandit while playing cricket which did not sit well Sameer and since then, the dislike grew stronger. As years passed, Shaurya had apologized to Munna and Pandit, but Sameer had never forgiven him. And his best friends were very well aware about it.

How could the duo miss this chance to ignite fire in Sameer's heart? They were friends with Shaurya since years. They were aware that he was coming back to Dehradun for good this time. And what a timing it was. They had already convinced Shaurya to act his part, but the main problem was Naina.

She was not ready to do this. She had reasoned, "Main Sameer ke saath aisa kuch nahi karungi. Pehle hi maine uss stupid bet ki wajah se usse bohot hurt kiya hai, aur ab yeh sab karke main uska dil aur nahi dukha sakti. Main Shaurya ke saath yeh naatak nahi karungi, matlab nahi karungi and that is final..."

Daadu, Vivek and Vishakha were astonished hearing her words. They had thought that she would happily be ready to do this to get back her love. But she had refused it outright making them speechless.

Deepika was not surprised though. She knew Naina would never agree to this. But she was also aware that this was the only way to tackle her hotheaded brother. She knew her stubborn brother too well and so, she had made this plan with Munna and Pandit and they had supported her happily.

Pandit had tried to persuade her, "Dekh Naina... hum Sameer ko bachpan se jaante hai. Usse Shaurya pasand nahi hai. Jab tujhe Sameer Shaurya ke saath dekhega, toh tere liye possessive ho jaayega. Aur hum yahi toh chaahte hai naa, ki Sameer tere paas aaye, tujhse baat kare, jisse tum dono ke beech sab thik ho jaaye. Naina tujhe Shaurya ke saath dekhkar hamara dost jal-bunnkar raakh ho jaayega. Chenu... ab tu hi isse samjha."

Munna remained silent while Deepika coaxed, "Bhabhi... I think inka idea kaam kar jaayega. Jahaan tak hum Bhai ko jaante hai, wohh aapko aasaani se maaf nahi karenge aur naa hi aapko unke aas paas aane denge. Inn sab mein yahi idea bohot strong hai. Hum baaki sab bhi try karenge, par agar Bhai nahi maane, toh aapke paas iske siva aur koi choice nahi hogi."

Munna finally broke his silence, "Naina... Tu kitna bhi koshish karegi fir bhi Sameer tere saamne uska pyaar fir se kabool nahi karega. Bhale hi hum sab jaante hai ki wohh sirf aur sirf tujhse pyaar karta hai, fir bhi uska izhaar uski zubaan par nahi aayega. Uski jalan hi ek aisi cheez hai, jiski wajah se wohh tere aas paas rahega. Tu bhale hi poori tarah uski dream girl bann jaa, par fir bhi wohh tujhe itni aasaani se accept nahi karega. Sameer har koshish karega ki tu usse durr rahe. Isse jyaada hum aur kuch nahi kahenge tujhse Naina. Aage jo hoga wohh teri hi marzi se hoga, toh final decision bhi tera hi hoga."

When Naina met Shaurya for the first time, she had tried to stay away from him. But when he approached her and asked her to be his friend, she could not deny. His manners, his behavior, his outlook towards life impressed her. He was a thorough gentleman like Sameer, but he was not Her Sameer... And now, here she was standing near the couch and observing Sameer's expressions.

Munna, Pandit and Deepika were right about Sameer. He won't be able to stand Shaurya for sure. And seeing the changing expressions on his face, Naina decided to play along. She was not ready at first, but now she understood why the others wanted her to do this. And now, she was going to play the part as they had planned for her.

Sameer's questioning gaze met hers and she stared at him with a blank look. He could not gauge her expression as she looked away instantly when she heard Shaurya's voice, "Naina... chalein... Hume aaj mandir jaana hai."

Looking at her, he continued, "Don't ever think of saying a NO, Naina... Tumne mujhe promise kiya tha ki tum mere saath aaj mandir jaaogi. Do din se tum bohot busy thi isliye maine tumhe disturb nahi kiya. Lekin aaj main koi bahaana nahi sununga. Tumhe aaj mere saath mandir chalna hi hoga. Mere Mom Dad bhi wahin gaye hai. Hamara wait kar rahe honge."

Naina smiled, "Maine kab manaa kiya Shaurya? Main chalungi tumhare saath mandir. Acha... bas do minute ruko, main abhi aayi." Without even glancing at Sameer, she rushed towards the kitchen followed by Keshav.

Naina came out within few minutes along with Keshav who was holding couple of bags in his hands. "Shaurya... ab chalein...", she asked with a smile. Giving a meaningful glance towards Sameer, she continued, "Main kabhi kisise apna promise nahi todti Shaurya... Haannn... kuch galtiyaan ki hai, par aage se nahi karungi. Poore dil se saare promises nibhaaungi."

Sameer heard her words, but did not reply. His heart was racing too fast. He had not imagined that Shaurya would befriend his Naina and she would so readily agree with his plans to accompany him to the temple. He wanted to stop Naina from going with that brat. But he could not stop her, maybe he had lost his rights on her.

Daadu knew what Naina was going to do as he was the one behind this temple visit. "Naina... Ab tum dono mandir hi jaa rahe ho toh main bhi chalta hun. Bohot dinon se gaya nahi hun. Main tum dono ke saath aa toh sakta hun naa?"

Shaurya replied instantly, "Kya Daadu aap bhi? Hamare saath mandir aane ke liye aap permission kyun le rahe hai? Aap haqq se hamare saath aa sakte hai."

Deepika immediately interrupted, "Main kya keh rahi hun ki hum sab jaate hai naa mandir? Kuch kaam toh hai nahi yahaan. Kyun Mummy?" Vishakha looked at her husband who too nodded his consent. Everyone agreed while Sameer remained silent.

No one asked him to tag along and his big ego did not allow him to ask for the same. He realized if he did not go, how would he be able to keep a watch on Shaurya who was getting too cozy with his dream girl.

Deepika asked casually, "Bhai... Aap bhi chaliye. Ghar pe akele reh kar kya karenge?" Keeping his big ego aside, he did not refuse her request and got up from the couch. Others controlled their smiles and left.

When Sameer started his car, he waited patiently for everyone to settle. But something pricked his heart as he saw Naina getting into Shaurya's luxurious car. Keshav had already kept all the bags in his car and now, his dream girl too was going to join Shaurya. This did not sit well with him. He had not expected this from her.

As Sameer saw Naina settling in Shaurya's car, he turned his misty gaze away and watched on as his family settled in his car while Munna and Pandit started his bike. He mumbled to himself, "Yeh Naina ko kaise samjhaaun ki Shaurya ek accha ladka nahi hai. Kaise bolun usse ki uss ladke se durr rahe. Par... par mujhe kyun farak pad raha hai? Naina ko jo karna hai wohh kare, waise bhi main kaun hota hun usse roknewala? Kis haqq se rokunga usse?"

His words were loud enough for Deepika to hear as she was sitting next to him in his car. Her face broke into a smile and she looked outside the window. She did not want her brother to know that she had heard his self-talk. Their plan was working on Sameer and she was happy with that. Few more shocks awaited him for the coming days.

Taking few deep breaths, he calmed himself and stopped talking to himself. He drove towards the temple and kept his attention on the other car too through the rear-view mirror. His constant looking in the rear-view mirror made Daadu chuckle, "Sameer... raasta saamne hai, peeche nahi." This made him conscious and he concentrated on the road ahead with embarrassment.

After half an hour, they reached the temple. Once again, his attention gravitated towards his dream girl. He fisted his hands as he saw Shaurya helping her with those bags. He wanted to vent out his anger on someone, but he could not do it. He knew if he even thought of doing it, others and especially Naina would know that he was pissed with her and Shaurya's friendship.

Munna and Pandit helped Shaurya with the bags and made their way towards the temple. Sameer waited until Shaurya led Naina towards the stairs. Daadu, Vishakha, Vivek were already inside the temple while Sameer stood there watching his dream girl walking ahead with her new friend.

Naina did not like what she was doing, but she understood that this was the only way to get him jealous and bring him back to her. Sameer slowly followed behind her while his best friends and sister watched the scene with delight from the top.

Naina knew that Sameer was just behind her. Glancing once at Shaurya, she blinked her eyes and it was the sign to leave them alone. Without making it too obvious, Shaurya acted as if he was attending an urgent call and moved away from Naina.

Grabbing that opportunity, Sameer took quick steps and started walking beside her. His heart could not resist much and he finally spoke, "Naina... yeh kya kar rahi ho tum?" She stopped right away and looked at him innocently, "Kya kar rahi hun main Sameer?"

He fisted his hands to control his anger which did not go unnoticed by her. He continued, "Jo tum Shaurya ke saath kar rahi ho, uski baat kar raha hun main Naina. Shaurya accha ladka nahi hai, wohh tumhari friendship ke laayak nahi hai. Tumhe aise blindly kisi pe trust nahi karna chahiye. Mera kaam tha tumhe bataana, aage tumhari marzi."

Naina smiled. She knew he was trying to dissuade her from going close to Shaurya. And he would never accept that he was jealous of Shaurya. Whatever the reason was, Naina was happy that at least he had made a move to talk to her on his own. For now, this was her small win.

Staring deep in his eyes, Naina replied, "Sameer... maine galti ki, maafi maangi, par tumne mujhe maaf nahi kiya. Main yahaan apni family ke paas aayi hun. Main yahaan kisse friendship karun, naa karun, isse tumhe koi farak nahi padna chahiye. Bachpan se akeli rahi hun, toh logon ko parakhna jaanti hun, logon ke iraade samajhti hun. Tumhe meri fikar karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Tumne mujhse saare rishtey tod diye hai, mujhe tumse se durr kar diya hai. Meri fikar mat karo, mere saath accha ho yaa bura, isse ab tumhe koi farak nahi padna chahiye. Aur jahaan tak Shaurya ki baat hai, wohh mera accha friend bann chuka hai already."

Sameer could not control his anger and his control finally snapped, "Yeahhh right. Main bhool gaya tha ki tumhe kisiki feelings ki kadar nahi hai. Waise Shaurya bhi tumhare jaisa hi hai, hamesha dusron ko hurt karta hai, bet lagaata hai. Kya kahaa tha tumne, mujhse pyaar karti ho. Kuch ghante nahi hue aur tumne dusron se friendship bhi kar li. Wow..."

And as if something clicked in his mind, he chuckled, "Tumhe kya lagta hai ki tum uss Shaurya se friendship kar logi, toh mujhe jalan hogi? Ms Naina Agarwal... yeh Sameer Maheshwari ka dil hai. Ek baar jo thaan leta hai naa, wohh karta hi hai. Hamare beech ab kuch nahi hai, toh fir kyun yeh sab kar rahi ho? Mujhe iss sab se koi farak nahi padega. Tum faaltu ka tumhara aur mera time waste kar rahi ho."

Though Sameer said that he was not jealous of his neighbor, she could clearly see on his face that he was affected with their friendship. Holding back her smile, Naina replied, "Accha hai... tumhe koi farak nahi padd raha, kyunki mere liye Shaurya ek bohot accha dost hai. Tumhe toh main already kho chuki hun aur ab main Shaurya jaise friend ko tumhari wajah se nahi kho sakti. Mujhe nahi pataa tumhe usse kya problem hai, par mujhe Shaurya se koi problem nahi hai. Wohh uss time mera friend banaa jab main bilkul akeli padd gayi thi, jab mujhe kisika saath chahiye tha uss akelepan se bachne ko. Tum lucky ho Sameer ki bachpan se hi tumhare paas friends, family sab the. Mere paas toh koi nahi tha, toh main inn sabki ehmiyat samajhti hun. Agar tumhe Shaurya pasand nahi hai, toh wohh tumhari problem hai, meri nahi. Shaurya mera dost hai, aur hamesha rahega."

Saying that, she covered the distance towards the temple leaving Sameer alone on the stairs. He was angry, very much angry. Why wasn't she understanding that Shaurya could never be her good friend? But she was right. He should not meddle in her life. If she wanted to be friends with that Shaurya, then he was no one to stop her from doing that. It was her life afterall. She had all the rights to befriend anyone, even if he did not like that said person.

Pushing all the thoughts away, Sameer entered the temple and saw that Naina was standing with his mother and Daadu. His heart felt calm as he took in the surroundings. He had always visited this temple when he felt disturbed and felt that something was going wrong in his life. Even today, his life was messed up and he felt that something was not going in the right direction.

Sameer walked towards the Shiv Idol and joined his hands, "Hey bhagwaan... aaj pataa nahi kyun iss dil ko bohot dard ho raha hai, aisa lag raha hai jaise kuch galat ho raha hai. Ekdum se bechaini ho rahi hai. Please meri madad kijiye, mujhe iss dard se azaad kijiye. Ab aur iss dard ko nahi seh paaunga bhagwaan. Mujhe... mujhe sahi raasta dikhaaiye, mera saath dijiye bhagwaan, mera saath dijiye..."

Naina stood beside him and saw the tears flowing down his cheeks. She wanted to wipe them and tell him that she was here for him, she was here to heal his heart and erase all his pains. Only if he could allow her to do that.

The priest saw Sameer and Naina standing in front of the Idol. He had seen them before too. He smiled looking at them. Sameer was praying with his eyes closed while Naina was looking at him with all the love, she had for him. The only common thing between them was that they were crying. Both the hearts held pain which needed to be healed with love.

Vishakha tapped Naina's shoulder to break her trance. As she came back to reality, she turned to face the priest. Wiping her tears away, she handed him a plate of sweets and flowers. The priest took it with a smile and started chanting mantras.

Sameer had sensed her presence beside him, but had kept his eyes closed. He felt calmer as her fragrance filled his heart. He had missed her terribly for the past three days. After seeing her here, he was content. Her presence soothed his soul, but he would never agree and accept that fact to anyone, not even to his best friends.

Sameer opened his eyes slowly and glanced at his dream girl who was standing next to him. With their family and friends standing behind them, he felt as if his family was complete. Soon his face turned stoic as he noticed Shaurya standing at her other side with his parents. His heart burnt with jealousy. Was he trying to trick Naina in the web of marriage?

How dare that brat stand next to his dream girl in the temple? But he remembered her words and again, he was angry. The peace that he had felt with her presence beside him for the last few minutes vanished in a second. Sameer wanted to move away from her, but he did not want to create a scene in the temple. So, he stood there motionless with his burning jealous heart.

Naina could feel that he was not happy with Shaurya standing next to her with his parents but what could she do. Sameer was the one who was pushing her away since she had come here. She had no choice left but to do this. She was trying so much, but he was not giving her a second chance. She had changed her completely only for Sameer.

As the priest finished the aarti, he forwarded the aarti towards them. Sameer and Naina's hands touched as they took the blessings of the holy fire. Their eyes met and the world stood still. Even if there were no words left to say, their eyes spoke volumes. The pain was clearly visible in their eyes.

The priest blessed, "Bhagwaan tum dono ki jodi banaaye rakhe. Hamesha khush raho." That broke the spell and they looked around embarrassed. Sameer wanted to tell him that they were not together, but his lips did not move. Naina glanced at him once and turned around. The others took the blessings while Naina had disappeared somewhere.

Though Sameer told his heart that he shouldn't care about her, his gaze searched her around in the temple. Finding her nowhere, he walked outside the temple. Finally, he saw her. She was distributing sweets to the poor people who were sitting there. For a while, he forgot everything and openly stared at his dream girl. He loved her even now. Even if she had broken his heart, he loved her. Even if she was the reason behind all the pain and hurt, still he loved her.

As she turned towards the temple, Naina noticed that Sameer was staring at her. Offering the sweets to all the devotees, she entered the temple. As she was about to walk past him, Sameer asked, "Mujhe prasad nahi dogi? Yaa yeh sirf tumhare naye doston ke liye hai?"

Naina was hurt with his words, but she held back. Without meeting his gaze, she offered the sweet and he accepted it watching her keenly. "Ab meri taraf dekhna bhi nahi chaahti?", he thought painfully. Swallowing the hurt, they both went opposite ways.

After distributing the sweets and doing the prayers, they all left the temple. Naina excused herself and entered the temple again on the pretext of forgetting something. When she stood in front of the Deity, she prayed, "Bhagwaan... aap jaante hai naa ki main yeh sab kyun kar rahi hun. Maine Sameer ka dil toda hai, usse bohot dard diya hai. Mujhe himmat dijiye ki main waapis mera pyaar haasil kar sakun and Sameer ke dil mein apne liye jagah banaa sakun. Main Sameer se bohot pyaar karti hun, bas usse khush rakhiyega. Maine pehle kabhi yeh sab nahi kiya. Mandir mein aana, aise prarthna karna, yeh sab kisine sikhaaya hi nahi. Aaj main yeh sab sirf aur sirf mere Sameer ke liye kar rahi hun. Mere Sameer ko manaane ke liye mera saath dena please. Aur aapka aashirwaad hamesha hum sab par rakhiyega."

Naina was in a hurry to get back to the car and so, she rushed on the stairs. In her hurry, she missed a step and slipped. She closed her eyes and waited to feel the ground. But nothing happened as she suddenly felt a pair of hands wrapping around her waist and pulling her. She collided with the hard chest and stabled herself.

Naina was safe. She had closed her eyes in fear as she was sure that she was going to hit the ground. But someone had saved her from that fall. When those hands held her safely in his arms, Naina knew that touch. She could recognize that touch anywhere.

Naina opened her eyes slowly only to be lost in the pair of eyes in front of her. She whispered, "Sameer..." After eating the sweet, his mind had calmed down. So, he started walking around the temple as always. After taking five rounds around the temple, he stopped and thought of returning to his car.

But then he saw everyone already waiting near the car except a certain someone. He turned around to look for Her... And he saw her running down the stairs. "Paagal hai kya? Aise kaun seedhi utarta hai? Gir jaayegi aise." He had just finished scolding her in his mind, when he saw her actually slipping from those stairs. He cursed under his breath and made a run to save her from that dangerous fall. If she had fallen from those stairs, she would have surely broken some of her bones.

When Sameer saw her magnetic eyes opening slowly, he had melted at that sight. She was safe in his arms and she belonged there forever. The close proximity between them sent shivers down their bodies. Unconsciously Sameer tightened his hold around her waist. His another hand tucked her hair behind her ear making her shiver with his touch. His family and friends had seen everything in front of their eyes and had almost had a heart-attack when Naina slipped. But seeing her in Sameer's arms, they were happy.

Her whisper of his name from her lips pulled the strings of his heart and he was lost in her, again. Daadu chuckled while standing near the car, "Sameer jitna bhi Naina se durr jaane ki koshish karega, utna hi uski kismat Naina ko uske saamne laayegi aur wohh kuch nahi kar paayega. Buddhu... ab tak yeh samajh nahi paa raha ki uski kismat Naina se kab ki mil chuki hai, toh kaise bhagega usse? Pyaar toh abhi bhi bohot karta hai Naina se, aur yeh hum saaf saaf dekh sakte hai. Bas kuch din aur, yeh Sameer apne aap ko jyaada der Naina se durr nahi rakh paayega. Dekh lena tum sab."

Deepika instantly replied, "Daadu... kuch din nahi, bas teen din aur. Bhai isse jyaada Bhabhi se durr nahi reh paayenge. Abhi bhi dekh rahe hai naa kaise Bhai Bhabhi mein kho gaye hai?" Everyone agreed with her and waited till the love birds came out from their dream world.

Daadu looked at Shaurya and he immediately understood. He honked loudly to break their trance, which worked and the love birds were pulled back to reality. Sameer left his dream girl halfheartedly. But when he remembered how he had caught hold of her, he scolded her without a care, "Naina... itni jaldi jaldi mein kahaan bhaage jaa rahi thi tum? Aise koi bhaagta hai kya seedhiyon par? Agar... agar tum gir jaati, toh kya hota huh? Kitni chot lagti tumhe, pataa bhi hai?"

Naina's eyes turned moist, but it was only because she was happy to hear his 'pyaarwaali daant'. She stuttered, "Wohh... wohhh main car ki taraf jaa rahi thi. Late... late ho raha tha naa? Meri wajah se late nahi hona chahiye, isliye... isliye main... main bhaag rahi thi.", she completed looking at him nervously.

The others gaped at him as he continued reprimanding her, "Late ho raha tha? Koi train pakadni thi tumhe, yaa flight miss ho rahi thi? Ghar hi jaa rahe the naa sab? Thoda late ho jaata toh kaunsi aafat aa jaati? Pataa bhi hai agar main tumhe sahi time par nahi pakadta, toh kitna lagta tumhe, kitna dard hota tumhe?"

Naina finally could not take anymore and smiled with happy tears, "Tum kitna bhi bolo Sameer ki main tumhare life ka hissa nahi hun, par aaj tumhari yeh pyaarwaali daant sunnkar mujhe yakeen ho gaya ki tum aaj bhi sirf aur sirf mujhse pyaar karte ho. Ab bhi tumhe meri fikar hai. Mujhse judi har ek baat se tumhe farak padta hai Sameer."

That silenced him and he realized what he had spoken aloud. Turning his face away, he faltered, "Aisa... Aisa kuch nahi hai. Main... main tumse koi pyaar vyaar nahi karta. Kuch bhi dimaagi pulaav mat banao tum. Samjhi... aur haan... jyaada idhar-udhar daudne ki zarurat nahi hai. Khud toh girogi, saath mein baaki sab gharwaalon ko pareshaan karogi."

Saying that, he walked towards his car and took the driver seat. No one uttered a single word and got in the respective cars. Munna and Pandit were happy with the sudden turn of events. They had not planned this, but their destiny played its part bringing their best friend's care and love to the fore.

When Naina joined Shaurya in his car this time, she was content. She had got her answers in his scolding. He loved her, cared for her. That was enough for now. She would get her way to his heart soon. She knew it in her heart that the time would come really soon. With the fate on her side, she would get back her love very soon.

Once they reached home, everyone retired to their rooms to freshen up. Munna and Pandit had left to their places and were going to join them for dinner. Sameer and Naina stayed in the opposite rooms on the same floor. Sameer had locked his door while Naina had kept the door ajar.

Deepika joined Naina after she freshened up to tell her what she had to do next. Naina quietly heard her and took a deep breath. The tough part of her life was about to come true. Though Vishakha had tried to teach her how to cook, she was not comfortable doing it. Even while making parathas in the morning, she had burnt her fingers several times.

Now, it was time to cook his favorite aloo puri. She remembered it well. When she had visited Dehradun last time, she had helped Vishakha to make chole, but bhature were prepared by Keshav. And how she had burnt her hand while making the last bhatura. Her eyes misted as all the flashbacks from that day replayed in her mind. How Sameer had burnt his hand to understand her pain, how he had taken care of her and most importantly, how he had confessed his love for her without any expectations from her for her reply.

"Bhabhi... chalein... aloo ki bhaaji aur pooriyaan banaani hai aapko. Aap ready hai?" Deepika's question brought her back from those unforgettable memories. She tagged along with Deepika towards the kitchen while Sameer's heart pained remembering those same memories from their past visit. He had heard their talks and he was not sure if Naina would be able to cook tonight. But his heart replied, "Maybe she would cook only for you."

Naina had made aloo puri a day before Sameer's return, but it had not tasted good. She just hoped that today, it would taste good. Vishakha as usual stood beside her and guided her. She was aware that Naina was not comfortable while cooking, but she was doing this only for Sameer and Vishakha hoped that Naina's efforts would give her the reward which she desired.

Sameer was restless in his room. Last time when Naina had cooked, she had burnt her hand. He was worried for her. She did not need to do all this. Yet his heart was happy watching her efforts. Unable to resist anymore, Sameer descended the stairs and joined Daadu and his father in the living room. His gaze kept moving towards the kitchen where Naina was cooking.

After few minutes, Sameer saw his mother coming out from the kitchen. She was on a call with her friend. When he saw that his mother had not returned for more than five minutes, he walked towards the kitchen slowly. Daadu and Vivek were busy talking about some business deal, so he sneaked away from their sight.

Sameer stood at the entrance of the kitchen and was mesmerized with the sight in front of him. Naina was wearing a light pink kurta with a white palazzo. Yellow apron hung loosely around her making her look cute.

Naina sensed his presence but did not dare to turn around. She was already done making the aloo bhaaji and now, she was kneading the dough to make pooris. Sameer entered the kitchen and stood behind her. Her skin broke into goosebumps as she registered the proximity between them. No one was present around.

Sameer was under some spell and he could not move away from her. He closed the distance between them and wrapped his hands around her. He dipped his hands in the dough and started kneading it.

Naina sucked in a deep breath as she felt his chest pressed to her back. His hands covered hers and he started helping her in kneading the dough. Her eyes blurred as she was happy. Sameer had still not realized what he was doing and continued helping her. They were back to that day when he had helped Naina in cutting onions while making chole.

Sameer bent a little and whispered, "Naina... aate mein thoda paani daalo..." His hot breath near her ear made her body tremble. He smiled as he felt his effect on her. Naina did as he had asked her to do and poured some water in the dough.

He whispered again, "Thoda aur daalo Naina..." She again did as he said. Slowly and steadily, they kneaded the dough together. Naina's whole body quivered as he was stood too close to her. Sameer was already in some other world. He had dreamt of this day many times when he would help her in the kitchen. And finally, that day was here. He was under her magical spell. The sight of Naina in that light pink dress had pulled him towards her.

Naina was elated when she saw the change in him. The stubborn Maheshwari was helping her to knead the dough. Unknown to the love birds, Daadu, Vivek and Deepika stood at the entrance and were watching them. They left towards the living room with happy smiles.

But the happiness did not last long as Vishakha entered the kitchen who was unaware that her son was present there, "Naina... ho gaya aata gund-kar?" Aahhhh... the magical spell was broken. The others muttered few curses in the living room. What a wrong timing Vishakha had chosen to enter the kitchen and disturb the couple?

Sameer was back to his senses and realized his position. He instantly moved away from Naina and turned to see his confused and embarrassed mother. Without saying anything, he left the place and rushed to his room. What was he doing? How could he help Naina when he was still sulking from the heartbreak. He had still not forgiven her, then what was he doing there in the kitchen and why was he helping her?

Sameer stood in front of the mirror in his room and talked to his reflection, "Kya kar raha hai Sameer? Tune ab tak Naina ko uski galti ke liye maaf nahi kiya hai, fir aise kaise tu uski madad karne chala gaya?" His heart immediately replied, "Kyunki ab bhi tu Naina se pyaar karta hai. Aur tu usse kisi taklif mein nahi dekh sakta."

He silenced his heart and continued, "Nahi... main... main Naina se pyaar nahi karta." Again, his heart replied, "Safed jhooth hai yeh. Tu maan kyun nahi leta ki tu Naina ko akela nahi chodna chaahta. Ab bhi usse bohot pyaar karta hai, isliye usse iss ghar mein rok liya. Wohh jaa rahi thi naa, fir kyun roka tune usse? Tu jaanta tha ki Naina akeli nahi reh paayegi, shaayad tu uske bina rehna hi nahi chaahta tha, isliye usse Delhi nahi jaane diya tune."

Sameer closed his eyes and let the tears flow. Taking a deep sigh, he sat on the chair in front of the mirror and saw his reflection of tearstained face. He finally agreed to his heart that he loved his dream girl and he could not see her in any trouble. Even if he was heartbroken because of her bet, he could not deny this fact that he truly loved her with all his heart. She was his one and only Dream Girl, His Naina...

But Sameer decided that he won't forgive her so easily. She had hurt him and he had craved for her a lot. He was not going to let her get away from him so easily. She would have to work hard to get him back.

Looking at the mirror with a smile, he spoke, "Naina... tum yahaan sirf mere liye aayi ho na, mujhse maafi paane aayi ho, mera pyaar haasil karne aayi ho. Par main tumhe itni aasaani se nahi chodunga. Bohot tadpaaya hai tumne mujhe, bas ab aur nahi. Ab tadapne ki baari tumhari hai. Aakhir thodi sazaa toh tumhe bhi milni chahiye naa?"

Unknown to him, his sweet little sister and his best friends had heard him.

How was the update?

I had planned to finish this story with this chapter, but you all could see how I could not end this here. This part was already long enough. One more chapter only of Samaina moments and the story will come to its end...

Now the question time...

What do you think Deepika and Mundit will do after hearing Sameer's idea of making Naina yearn for him?

Will they help him or Naina?

I have another question too...

After this story, I will be continuing Vows of Hatred which is a revenge story and simultaneously, I will start a short story of Samaina which will be a three-shot story.

After that, I want to start a new story. Though I have lots of new ideas, I want to know your suggestions.

Tell me in the comments section what kind of a story you want me to write.

1. On arrange marriage

2. On hidden marriage

3. On fake marriage

Your suggestions will help me to draft the story beforehand so I could start it soon.

Something very hot coming up in the next update...🔥

I will update the last chapter soon...

Till then, take care and stay safe...

With Lots of Love,

Daksha...❤️
