SASSY GIRL HAS MY HEART

CHAPTER 13

"Sameer aur Munna Pandit subah subah hi ghar chodkar chale gaye hai." Upon hearing this, Naina collapsed on the floor near the door. Shanta aunty ran towards her and sat beside her to steady her. Naina instantly hugged her and started crying, "Sam... Sameer... aise... aise nahi jaa sakta... wohh mujhe yahaan akela chodkar nahi jaa sakta..."

Watching Naina's condition, Shanta aunty tried to explain further, "Naina... shaant ho jaa. Jab main thodi der pehle Sameer ke ghar naashta banaane ke liye gayi, toh dekha ki unke darwaaze par taala lagaa hua tha. Fir jab maine mere paas rakhi hui extra chaabhi se darwaaza khola, toh dekha ki andar koi nahi tha. Unn sabka saamaan bhi kahin nahi dikh raha tha."

Naina paled hearing each word of Shanta aunty and her world crashed yet again. Here she was trying to plan to get her love back while her love had already decided to leave her and the city behind, just to stay away from her and punish her.

Shanta aunty held her and rubbed her back to stop her sobs. Naina continued weeping, "Sameer aise kaise mujhe chodkar jaa sakta hai? Main maanti hun ki wohh mujhse naaraaz hai, par itni badi sazaa nahi de sakta mujhe. Sameer aisa nahi kar sakta mere saath, kabhi nahi kar sakta." She continued crying while Shanta aunty tried to console her.

"Naina... shaant ho jaa beti. Koi naa koi raasta mil jaayega. Bas hume kisi bhi tarah pataa chal jaaye ki Sameer kahaan jaa sakta hai." Naina instantly turned to face her, "Sameer... Sameer shaayad apne ghar, Dehradun gaya hoga."

Before she could say more, Shanta aunty's mobile beeped with an incoming message. She read the message and smiled. She handed her mobile to Naina who looked at the screen hopefully. The message was from Munna and it read,

'Shanta aunty... Naina se kahiye ki apna mobile switch on kare. Pataa nahi mobile hote hue log uska use kyun nahi karte aur band rakhte hai?'

Naina instantly was on her feet and searched for her mobile. Where had she kept her mobile? She hadn't touched her mobile since that fateful day. She and Shanta aunty searched everywhere and finally Naina found it in her bedroom. When she tried switching it on, it didn't work. She cursed under her breath when she realized that her phone's battery was already dead.

Before she could run around in search of the charger, Shanta aunty appeared in front of her with it. Naina thanked her and instantly kept her mobile to charge. She tried to turn it on again, but still, it didn't work. Shanta aunty smiled and admonished her, "Naina... thodi der usse charge toh hone do, fir hi wohh chalega naa?"

Naina paced her room for few minutes and again tried to switch her mobile on. And this time, finally the screen lit up and she calmed down a bit. Right now, her life depended on that stupid phone. She stared at the screen when it lit up completely and she turned on the Wi-Fi connection on it.

As soon as her mobile got the internet access, her mobile pinged with innumerable messages. Ignoring the insignificant messages, she instantly clicked open Munna's message on WhatsApp which read,

'Naina... Sameer Delhi mein rehna nahi chaahta tha, isliye wohh hume lekar Dehradun chala aaya hai. Par abhi usse uske ghar nahi jaana. Sameer kuch din mere saath mere ghar rahega, uske baad hi hum uske ghar jaayenge. Uske ghar par ab tak kisiko kuch pataa nahi hai. Jab tak hum Sameer ke saath uske ghar jaayenge, tab tak tujhe pataa hai naa ki tujhe kya karna hai? Tere paas teen din hai, taiyaar ho jaa Sameer ki dream girl banne ke liye. Jald milenge Naina, tab tak apna khayaal rakhna. All the best..."

A smile broke on her face and she jumped in happiness. She knew what she had to do ahead and how she would win her Sameer's heart. She told her plan to Shanta aunty who heard her calmly and agreed with her.

Naina freshened up quickly and started her packing. Within an hour, she was ready to go. Shanta aunty wanted to drop her at the bus station but Naina refused and asked her to take care of herself and their apartments. She promised, "Aunty... aapne itne din mera saath meri family ki tarah diya hai. Main aapko jitna bhi Thank you kahungi, wohh kamm hi padega."

Shanta aunty smiled amidst her tears, "Naina... tum aur Sameer dono mere bacche hi toh ho. Aur tumhe thank you bolne ki zarurat nahi hai. Bhala koi baccha apne family se thank you bolta hai? Tum bas apne Sameer ko jaldi manaa lo aur usse waapis yahaan le aao."

Naina hugged her, "Main Sameer ko lekar hi waapis aaungi. Aap apna khayaal rakhna." Bidding her goodbye, she settled in the cab and drove towards the college. Before going to win her love back, she had some important business to handle.

"Aap yahin rukiye, main bas abhi aayi...", Naina asked the cabdriver to wait. Leaving all her luggage in the cab, she walked towards the basketball ground.

And she finally found the person whom she had come here to meet. The senior gang who was sitting there spotted Naina walking towards them.

"Ohooo... Dekho toh kaun aaya hai aaj college mein?", taunted Vicky sarcastically. Naina smiled frostily and replied, "Main toh tumhe yahaan thanks bolne aayi hun Vicky."

This one sentence jolted Vicky out of his stupor and he asked, "Tum thik toh ho Naina? Tum... Ms Naina Agarwal... mujhse thank you bolne yahaan aayi hai? Kahin main sapna toh nahi dekh raha?"

Naina smiled yet again, "Vicky... apni aankhen kholo aur dekho ki main yahaan tumhare saamne khadi hun aur tumse thank you keh rahi hun."

Vicky stood confused while Naina continued, "Agar tum mujhse wohh stupid bet nahi lagaate toh shaayad Sameer meri zindagi mein nahi aata. Mujhe kabhi samajh nahi aata ki pyaar hota kya hai. Meri zindagi mein Sameer, mera pyaar laane ke liye Thank you Vicky... Bas itna hi kehne aayi thi."

Naina turned to leave but stopped when she heard his loud voice, "Pyaar... kaunsa pyaar? Kaisa pyaar? Sameer? Sameer tujhe kabhi apni life mein jagah nahi dega Naina. Tu uske yaa kissi ladke ke laayak nahi hai. Bet ke baare mein sunnkar hi Sameer tujhe chodkar chala gaya, fir kaisa pyaar huh?"

Naina turned to face him again, "Agar tumhe lagta hai ki bet ke baare mein Sameer ko bataane ke baad uska pyaar mere liye kamm ho jayega, toh yeh tumhari galatfehmi hai Vicky. Sameer mujhse pyaar karta tha, pyaar karta hai aur hamesha pyaar karta rahega. Waise yeh sab tum nahi samjhoge, kyunki tumhe pyaar ka asli matlab pataa hi nahi hai Vicky. Tumhare liye toh Sunaina jaisi ladkiyaan hi pyaar ki definition hai, jo har dusre din ladke badalti hai. Jo ek relationship mein hote hue cheating kare, usse pyaar nahi kehte Vicky. Par khair chodo... main bhi kya pyaar ke baare mein tumhe samjhaane lagi, yeh pyaar vyaar tumhare bas ki baat nahi hai. Main tumhe bas thank you bolne aayi thi, jo maine bol diya. Ab chalti hun."

Before she could turn, he asked again, "Sameer ke paas jaa rahi ho? Maafi maangne? Mujhe nahi lagta ki wohh tujhe maaf karega."

Naina replied calmly, "Haan... main Sameer ke paas jaa rahi hun. Maafi maangne nahi, balki apna pyaar paane. Aur main yeh confidently keh sakti hun ki main Sameer ko mere saath waapis lekar hi aaungi. Aur tumhare saamne issi college mein hum saath saath padhenge. Tab tumhe samajh aayega ki asli pyaar kya hota hai. Aur tum apna comparison Sameer ke saath karne ki sochna bhi mat, kyunki mera Sameer sabse alag hai. He is a real gem of a person."

Giving him a stern final glare, she left towards the waiting cab. As she settled in the bus later, she missed Sameer terribly as she reminisced the time when she had gone to Dehradun with him for the first time.

In the long journey towards Dehradun, she jotted down few things she needed to shop once she reached there. She had a difficult mission of becoming Sameer's dream girl in real sense. She knew it was not going to be easy for her, but she was ready to move heaven and earth to become his dream girl.

As the bus entered the bus station of Dehradun, her heartbeats accelerated and she was all nervous. As she tugged her two huge bags ahead and got down from the bus, she breathed in the air and felt nostalgic. She was at his place finally to win over her love forever this time.

Last time, Munna and Pandit were here to pick them up but she felt dejected this time as no one would come to pick her up. As she was about to take a step ahead, she heard a familiar voice, "Naina..." She stopped in her tracks. Was she hallucinating?

Naina turned in a flash to find Pandit standing in front of her. She shrieked, "Pandit..." And he enveloped her in a warm hug. He murmured, "Welcome home..." And her entire being relaxed. She was not alone. She had her brothers with her. As she broke the hug, she asked, "Sameer... Sameer kaisa hai?"

Pandit replied in a low tone, "Waisa hi jaise tune usse last dekha tha. Chal... car mein baithkar baat karte hai." He carried her bags to the car. She settled in the passenger seat while he arranged her luggage in the back seat. Once seated, he told her how Sameer woke them up midnight and asked them to bring him to Dehradun. Sameer was not ready to meet his family yet. So, he insisted Munna that he would stay with him for few days.

Naina silently listened to Pandit while he told her how they packed their bags and left for Dehradun in a hurry. He looked at her distraught face, "Naina... hum jaise hi yahaan pohonche, Munna ne tujhe call kiya, par tera phone switch off aa raha tha. Aur Sameer bhi aas paas hi tha, isliye fir usne tere liye messages chode. Fir jaise hi mujhe mauka mila, toh maine Shanta aunty ko phone kiya, unhone bataaya ki tum already Dehradun ke liye nikal chuki ho. Main kaam ka bahaana banaakar abhi Munna ke ghar se nikla hun, taaki tumhe pick up kar sakun aur Sameer ke ghar drop kar sakun." Taking a deep sigh, he asked, "Sameer apne pyaar se bhaag raha hai Naina, tujhse bhaag raha hai, pataa hai kyun?"

Naina shook her head and he replied with a smile, "Kyunki Sameer ko pataa hai ki agar ek baar aur agar tu usse maafi maangegi toh wohh shaayad kamzor padd jaayega aur tujhe maaf kar dega. Wohh tere saamne kamzor nahi padna chaahta Naina, wohh tere saath saath khud ko sazaa de rahaa hai. Uska dil bhale hi naram padd raha hai, par uska dimaag usse teri taraf badhne nahi dega. Uska dil aur dimaag ek aisi jung ladd rahe hai, jiski wajah se wohh poori tarah se ulajh gaya hai Naina. Ab yeh dekhna hai ki kab tak yeh jung chalti hai aur wohh tumse durr rehta hai. Naina... tujhe uski iski jung ko suljhaane mein uski madad karni hogi. Har maayne mein uski dream girl banna hoga, usse apne pyaar ka bharosa dilaana hoga, jisse wohh waapis tujh par bharosa kar sake, tujhe apni zindagi mein waapis apna sake. Pyaar toh wohh tujhse karta hai aur main sirf yeh kehne ke liye nahi keh raha. Uski aankhon mein wohh pyaar saaf saaf dikhta hai Naina. Tujhe bas ussi pyaar ko havaa deni hai. Sameer jyaada der tujhse durr nahi reh paayega, yeh hum sab jaante hai. Bas tu ummeed mat haarna. Sameer kitna bhi tujhe sunaaye, par tujhe himmat rakhni hogi. Jaisa main aur Munna kahenge waisa karna hoga, baaki tu khud bhi samjhdaar hai. Tujhe bhi pataa hai ki kaise Sameer ka dil jeetna hai. Hai naa?"

Naina wiped her tears, "Sameer ka dil main jeetkar hi rahungi Pandit. Uski wohh dream girl banungi jiske sapne usne dekhe the. Iss baar main danke ki chot par Sameer se pyaar ka izhaar karungi. Hamara beech sab thik karke hi dumm lungi." Pandit kept his hand on her head and blessed her, "Aur hum tere saath hai Naina. Ab sunn... tujhe kya kya karna hai." And he went on telling her what she had to do in the upcoming days when Sameer would arrive at his house.

Taking a deep breath, Naina spoke, "Ab chalein... mujhe... mujhe Daadu, Mom, Dad, Deepu... sabse milna bhi hai." She asked hesitantly, "Pandit... sab mera saath toh denge naa?" And he just replied her with a nod and smiled. He himself was not sure if Sameer's family would help and support her.

Naina was nervous as the car headed towards Sameer's house. She was fearing their reaction. What would she tell them when they would ask her about Sameer? Would they forgive her for hurting their favorite child? Would they help her to gain Sameer's love back? She was hell nervous and scared. This redemption was not as easy as she had thought earlier. She had a lot of struggles to fight ahead.

As the car entered the gates, she started taking deep breaths to calm herself. Her nervousness rose again and she looked at Pandit who quietly assured her that all would be fine. She need not worry.

Pandit took out her bags while she started walking towards the house. She knew what she had to do. Praying to the Almighty above, she rang the doorbell twice and waited for the door to open. Her palms sweated profusely and she rubbed them on her pants.

As soon as Pandit came behind her with her luggage, the door opened. Vishakha stood in front of them with a shocked expression. Another voice came from behind her, "Arey Vishakha... kaun aaya hai? Tum aise kyun khadi ho bhoot bannkar wahaan?"

Daadu came behind her and he too was stunned with the sudden arrival of Naina. His eyes searched for his grandson but did not find him around. "Mom...", Naina's broken voice was enough for Vishakha's trance to break and she got back to reality.

Vishakha immediately took her in a hug while Naina tried to control her tears, but she could not resist anymore and she started sobbing in her arms. She had finally found her solace in her mother's arms after so long.

Daadu looked at Naina and was too shocked to react. His gaze moved to Pandit whose eyes too had turned misty and he instantly knew something was wrong. Vishakha tensed as she heard Naina's cries. They had a fair idea that it was something related to Sameer.

She rubbed Naina's back soothingly and murmured, "Sshhhhh... Bas Naina... Bas... ab rona band karo. Aur andar chalo. Hum andar baat karenge." Her son's absence pricked her and she knew that something bad had transpired between them. Her sixth sense was too powerful when it came to her son. She had tried calling him since last few days and she had heard his different tone which had alerted her. But every time Sameer brushed her off whenever she had asked about Naina. Something had happened between the two, she had concluded. And now, the arrival of Naina alone confirmed those suspicions.

Vishakha made Naina sit of the couch and asked Keshav to bring water for them. Daadu quietly watched Naina and he was sure that her arrival here that too without Sameer wasn't good news. After gulping water in a single sip, Naina looked at the two questioning faces and instantly knew that they wanted to know about Sameer.

Naina moved her gaze to Pandit and he blinked his eyes in assurance. She knew she had her brothers' back, but would this family too help her? She looked at Vishakha nervously, "Kya aap... aap Dad ko bhi ghar bulaa sakti hai? Main aap sabse ek saath baat karna chaahti hun."

Vishakha looked at her father figure and he moved towards the landline phone to call his son. He was too desperate to know about his grandson. They knew that it would at least take half an hour for Vivek to arrive, so Vishakha asked, "Naina... Pandit... tum dono ne kuch khaaya nahi hoga. Main... main tum dono ke liye kuch garam banaa kar laati hun."

The moment she was about to get up, Naina held her hand, "Mom... Main... main pehle aap sabko kuch bataana chaahti hun, uske baad hi kuch khaaungi. Aap... aap please abhi yahin mere paas baithiye. Please..." Pandit too replied that he was not hungry and sat next to the restless Daadu.

Exactly in twenty minutes, Vivek entered his house anxiously. It was not everyday that his father called him at this time and asked him to come home urgently. Thinking worse of what would have happened at home, he drove his car speedily to reach his place as fast as he could.

Watching Naina sitting besides his wife, he sighed in relief. He chided, "Papa... aise kaun phone karke bulaata hai? Aapne toh mujhe dara hi diya tha. Phone par hi bataa dete ki Naina aur Sameer aaye hai, toh mujhe itna tension nahi hota. Mujhe hi pataa hai main kaise abhi ghar pahuncha hun."

Looking around, Vivek asked, "Sameer kahaan hai? Apne room mein fresh hone gaya hai kya?" Vishakha replied, "Sameer... Sameer nahi aaya hai. Sirf Naina aayi hai. Isse hum sabse kuch baat karni hai, isliye aapko aise itni jaldi mein office se bulaaya hai."

Vivek was confused, "Sameer nahi aaya? Fir Naina kaise aayi?" He questioned her directly, "Naina... tum Delhi se akeli aayi ho? Sameer tumhare saath kyun nahi aaya?"

Naina looked at everyone with misty eyes, "Sameer mere saath nahi aaya hai. Main... main akeli hi aayi hun." Mustering some courage, she started narrating everything that had happened since she met Sameer for the first time in college till the bet revelation that happened two weeks ago.

Unknown to them, Deepika had returned home early and was standing at the door. She too was silently hearing everything that Naina was telling her family. Naina was guilty for the way she had started her friendship with Sameer with an agenda to win the bet.

Daadu, Vivek, Vishakha and Deepika heard all that had happened between Sameer and Naina till now. Naina did not keep anything away from them. They were Sameer's family and her own family too. They deserved to know all. If she wanted to win over Sameer's love and trust again, she had to be honest with their family. Only then, they could guide her and help her.

Once Naina was done, she started crying yet again. Vishakha, Vivek and Daadu could not react while Deepika ran towards Naina and hugged her tightly. Naina held the little sister who had grown closer to her in a short span of time.

Vishakha cried next to her while Vivek took her in a side hug. Daadu who was sitting next to Pandit wiped his tears and watched the broken state of the girl in front of her who was his grandson's dream girl.

Vivek consoled Vishakha who had started speaking by now, "Sameer... mera baccha... pataa nahi kis haal mein hoga. Peechle kuch dinon se mujhe mehsoos ho raha tha ki wohh thik nahi hai. Uski aawaaz mein mujhe kuch alag mehsoos hota tha, ek alag sa dard. Kai baar poocha bhi maine, par Sameer ne kuch nahi bataaya. Mera baccha itna toot gaya hai, akela ho gaya hai aur main yahaan rehkar kuch nahi kar paayi. Mere bete ko meri zarurat hai Vivek... mujhe... mujhe abhi Sameer ke paas jaana hai. Mujhe abhi ke abhi Delhi le chaliye. Main Sameer ko dekhna chaahti hun, usse milkar uska dard kamm karna chaahti hun. Vivek... please mujhe mere bete ke paas le chaliye... please mujhe mere bete ke paas le chaliye." And she continued crying.

Deepika broke the hug and wiped Naina's tearstained face. She had seen the love between Naina and Sameer blooming right in front of her eyes. She knew her brother was heartbroken because of Naina, yet she could not see his dream girl sobbing so badly. "Naina... aap please rona band kijiye... aap rote hue bilkul bhi acche nahi lagte. Please rona band kijiye."

At that, Vishakha left Vivek's side and looked at Naina. Her pale face, the dark circles under her eyes told her exactly what her son too was going through. Her son was not the only one who was suffering a heartbreak. "Naina... tumne mere Sameer ka dil kyun toda? Kitna pyaar karta hai wohh tujhse, fir tune aisa kyun kiya mere bete ke saath? Kya tujhse pyaar karna uski galti thi? Jab wohh tujhe iss ghar mein laaya tha naa, tab hum sab bohot khush the yeh jaankar ki tum uski dream girl ho, jisse wohh bohot pyaar karta hai. Tumhari aankhon mein bhi humne wohh pyaar dekha tha, mehsoos kiya tha. Kya wohh sab sirf ek naatak tha, sab jhooth tha Naina?"

Before Vishakha could say something harsh to Naina, Daadu interrupted, "Naina... tum yahaan hume yeh sab bataane kyun aayi ho? Jahaan tak main Sameer ko jaanta hun, yeh sab jaanne ke baad usne tumse sab rishtey tod diye honge. Fir yahaan kyun aayi ho?"

Deepika settled beside her while Naina replied, "Daadu... main Sameer se bohot pyaar karti hun. Main usse khona nahi chaahti. Wohh Sameer hi tha jisne mujh jaise anaath ladki ko ek pyaar karne waali family di. Mujhe toh pyaar, parivaar, inn sabka matlab bhi nahi pataa tha. Par Sameer ne mujhe inn sabka sahi maayno mein matlab samjhaaya. Meri zindagi mein pyaar aur parivaar hone ka ehsaas dilaaya. Sameer ne mere saare dukh-dard durr kiye the. Fir main ab kaise usse meri zindagi se jaane de sakti hun Daadu?"

Looking at Vishakha, Naina continued, "Main promise karti hun Mom ki main Sameer ko wohh pyaar dungi jiska wohh haqdaar hai. Jo pyaar main khudse bhi accept nahi kar paa rahi thi, wohh ab meri zindagi ka sabse bada sach hai. Sameer ne mujhe har choti se choti cheez mein khushi di hai, toh ab meri baari hai, main Sameer ko har choti se choti khushi dungi, itna pyaar dungi ki kabhi uski aankhon mein aansoon ki ek boond bhi nahi dikhegi."

Naina got up from her place and kneeled in front of Vivek and Vishakha, "Mom... Dad... Please mujhe maaf kar dijiye. Mujhe ek chance dijiye ki main aap sabko, Sameer ko bataa sakun ki main usse kitna pyaar karti hun. Main promise karti hun ki aage se kabhi Sameer ko hurt nahi karungi. Wohh bet lagaana meri pehli aur aakhri galti thi. Ab se main Sameer ko khudse kabhi durr nahi jaane dungi. Main Sameer se bohot pyaar karti hun, uske liye kuch bhi kar sakti hun. Isliye toh main yahaan aayi hun, taaki main sahi maayno mein uski dream girl bann sakun. Kya aap sab mujhe mera pyaar jeetne mein meri help karenge?"

Daadu asked, "Aur tumhe lagta hai ki Sameer itni aasaani se tumhe maaf kar dega aur fir se tumhe uske dil mein, uski zindagi mein jagah dega?" Naina smiled amidst her tears and replied, "Mujhse jyaada aap Sameer ko jaante hai Daadu... Aap bataaiye kya Sameer mujhe second chance dega?"

Daadu smiled, "Sameer apni dream girl se bohot pyaar karta hai. Haannn... abhi uska dil toota hai, par fir bhi wohh ab bhi sirf tumse pyaar karta hai and hamesha karta rahega. Apni galti koi nahi manta Naina, par tumne maani aur yahaan tak akeli chali aayi Sameer ko manaane, fir se apna pyaar jeetne. Agar tum bhi mere Sameer se pyaar karti ho, toh main tumhari madad zaroor karunga. Sabko dusra mauka toh milna hi chahiye." He said the last line looking at his son and daughter-in-law.

Vivek too agreed, "Main Papa se sehmat hun. Naina... tumne Sameer ka dil todkar accha toh nahi kiya, par main tumhara saccha pyaar tumhari aankhon mein saaf saaf dekh sakta hun aur mujhe pataa hai ki tum dono ki khushi ek dusre se hi hai. Tumhara yahaan aana hi yeh saabit karta hai ki tum mere bete se kitna pyaar karti ho. Main bhi tumhare saath hun Naina. Main tumhe tumhare pyaar ko manaane mein tumhara saath dunga."

Vivek looked at his wife's stunned face and persuaded her too, "Vishakha... Naina ko maaf kardo. Usne jo bhi kiya, wohh uski bhi majburi thi. Aur dekho... wohh hamare Sameer se bohot pyaar bhi karti hai. Yeh toh tum bhi manogi ki hamare Sameer ki jaan Naina mein basti hai. Abhi thoda naaraaz hai, par main confidently keh sakta hun ki ab bhi wohh uski dream girl ko miss kar raha hoga. Hamare bacchon ka pyaar itna kamzor nahi hai Vishakha ki ek bet ki wajah se toot jaaye. Everyone deserves a second chance Vishakha... Naina ko maaf kardo aur usse Sameer ki dream girl banne mein uski madad karo. Please Vishakha..."

Deepika too added, "Haaan Maa... Please Naina ko maaf kardo aur hum sab unki help karenge. Main bhi Bhai ko khush dekhna chaahti hun aur unki khushi Naina mein hai." Vishakha looked at her father-in-law who too nodded at her with approval and added, "Vishakha... tumne Naina ko apni beti maana hai. Toh kya uski Mom uski madad nahi karegi? Naina ko sabse jyaada tumhari zarurat hai Vishakha. Aur yeh tum bhi jaanti ho ki Naina hi Sameer ke zindagi mein aanewaali wohh pehli aur aakhri ladki hai, jisse wohh beintehaan pyaar karta hai. Kya tum nahi chaahti ki Sameer ki love story poori ho, jaise tumhari hui thi?"

Pandit who was watching everything silently till now told them how Naina hadn't eaten anything since that day and had been hospitalized too. He also told them that Sameer too was in Dehradun now and he would be staying at Munna's place for the next three days. He explained their plan of grooming Naina into Sameer's dream girl in true sense.

Pandit added, "Aapne sahi kahaa tha ki Sameer ki jaan Naina mein basti hai, kyunki ab bhi usse Naina ki fikar hai. Aaj jab main Naina ko bus station lene jaa raha tha, tab wohh Shanta aunty se phone par baat kar raha tha. Main jaanta hun ki usne unhe phone kyun kiya hoga. Yahaan rehkar bhi uski jaan wahaan Delhi mein atki hai. Sameer ko nahi pataa ki Naina yahaan Dehradun mein hai. Usse sirf tab pataa chalega jab wohh yahaan aayega. Humne Shanta aunty ko keh diya hai ki agar Sameer Naina ke baare mein pooche toh wohh usse kahe ki Naina ki tabiyat thik ho gayi hai aur usne college jaana shuru kar diya hai."

Deepika asked, "Aise kyun kehne ko bola aapne? Isse toh Bhai ko lagega ki Naina unki life mein move on kar chuki hai." Pandit chuckled, "Yahi toh bataana hai usse ki Naina uski life mein uske bina aage badh chuki hai. Wohh toh jab wohh yahaan aayega tab usse pataa chalega ki Naina yahaan hai, tab tak zara Sameer ko bechain rehne do."

Daadu smacked him on his head and chuckled, "Plan toh accha hai. Hamara Sameer abhi jhooth muth ka rootha hua hai, usse zara bechain karna zaruri bhi hai. Agar ghee seedhi ungli se naa nikle toh ungli tedhi karna bohot zaruri hota hai. Naina ko dusra mauka milna hi chahiye aur isliye hum sab tumhari madad karenge Naina."

Everyone's gaze stopped at one person who still hadn't agreed to support and help Naina. Vishakha stepped towards Naina and took her in a hug. The mother-daughter duo cried for a bit and Vishakha finally relented, "Naina... tumne jo bhi kiya wohh accha nahi tha. Par ab jo ho gaya hai usse hum badal nahi sakte. Main jaanti hun ki Sameer abhi bohot dukhi hoga, par main yeh bhi jaanti hun ki uski khushi tumse hi hai. Sirf aur sirf isliye Naina main tumhari help zaroor karungi. Par agar aage kabhi tumne mere Sameer ko hurt kiya, toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga, samjhi???"

The smile that broke on Naina's face brought smiles on the rest of the other faces too. Half the battle was already won, Naina thought and hugged everyone and promised them that she would never ever hurt her love.

Pandit spoke, "Chalo... ab main chalta hun... Sameer ko hum par zara bhi shak nahi hona chahiye." Turning to Naina, he continued, "Naina... tere paas teen din hai. Sab acche se seekh lene. Jab Sameer yahaan aayega tab usse uski dream girl milni chahiye."

Naina nodded and hugged him one last time, "Thank you... tum aur Munna nahi hote toh main shaayad yeh sab nahi kar paati. Aur inn teen dinon mein wohh sab seekh jaaungi jisse dekhkar Sameer chaunk jaayega. Iss baar usse uski dream girl milegi Pandit. Yeh mere vaada hai sabse aur khud se bhi..."

Once Pandit left, Naina sat among the family and told them what she had to do ahead. Once she was done, Deepika exclaimed, "Naina Bhabhi... kya aap yeh sab kar paaogi? I mean teen din bohot kamm time nahi hai?" And then as if something clicked her mind, she continued, "Sorry... wohh excitement mein maine aapko Bhabhi keh diya."

Naina chuckled, "Deepu... iss mein tumhe sorry bolne ki zarurat nahi hai. Waise tumne kuch galat toh nahi kahaa, tum... tum mujhe Bhabhi bula sakti ho." Deepika jumped in happiness while the others were happy watching the dynamics between the two.

While Naina was talking to Deepika and Daadu, Vishakha prepared tea and sandwiches for them. It was in the evening that Daadu, Vishakha and Vivek took Naina under their wings and taught her somethings that would help her to groom herself.

The most important task was given to Deepika to take an appointment in the parlor for the next day. The shopping task was taken up by Vishakha who had fair idea what would suit Naina and most importantly, she was very well aware of her son's choices.

The next three days Naina was very much busy in learning many things. When the third day ended, she was so tired and worn out and she sat on the couch next to Daadu with a thud. "Daadu... teen din kahaan beet gaye pataa hi nahi chala. Kal... kal Sameer aa jaayega. I hope meri mehnat rang laaye warna sab bekaar ho jaayega."

Daadu chuckled, "Bhai ab pyaar kiya hai, paschataap karna hai toh mehnat toh karni padegi naa Naina. Waise main yakeen se keh sakta hun ki tumhari mehnat bekaar nahi jaayegi." He teased, "Wohh kya shaayri thi? Haannn yaad aayi... 'Ek Aag Ka Dariya Hai Aur Doob Ke Jaana Hai..."

Naina laughed too... "Haan... haan... has lijiye aap. Main kitne tension mein hun aapko kaise samjhaaun. Pataa nahi Sameer mujhe firse apnayega yaa nahi, mujhe pyaar mein dusra chance dega yaa nahi."

Daadu patted her head lightly, "Khud par bharosa rakh Naina, apne pyaar par, apne Sameer par bharosa rakh. Main apne Sameer ko bohot acche se jaanta hun. Bhale hi wohh tere saamne kuch naa bole, par mann mein toh khush hi hoga, jab wohh tujhe yahaan dekhega. Tension mat le, sab thik ho jaayega. Sacche pyaar ki hamesha jeet hoti hai Naina aur yahaan toh tum dono ka pyaar ekdum saccha hai. Bas himmat mat haarna Naina. Tune jo raasta chuna hai wohh katheen hai, par uski manzil tak tu zaroor pahunchegi. Yeh mera aashirwaad hai tujhe. Ab jaa, so jaa... subah jaldi bhi uthna hai, bohot taiyaariyaan bhi karni hai. Aakhir hamara Sameer jo aa raha hai kal."

For some reason, Naina was nervous yet again. When she slept in her room, she thought of the next day. She wanted to capture the moment when Sameer would see her here tomorrow. She was ready to welcome her love. With that thought in mind, she drifted to sleep. She was finally going to meet Sameer, her love the next morning.

On the other side of the city, Sameer was restless. He had called up Shanta aunty three days ago to check up on Naina, but what he heard was something that he hadn't expected so soon. He remembered their conversation.

"Arey Sameer... tum bina bataaye kahaan chale gaye ho? Aur Naina ki fikar mat karo, wohh ab thik hai aur aaj hi college gayi hai. Ghar par rehkar bhi kya karti? Akele mein uska dum ghoot raha tha, isliye college chali gayi hai. Tum... apna khayaal rakhna. Chalo... ab phone rakhti hun, mujhe bohot kaam hai."

He talked to himself, "Aise kaise college jaa sakti hai? Abhi kal hi toh hospital se discharge hui hai. Yeh ladki zara bhi khudka dhyaan nahi rakhti. Agar waapis usse chakkar aa gaye aur wohh behosh ho gayi toh kaun usse sambhalega, kaun uska khayaal rakhega? Mujhse keh rahi thi ki mujhse pyaar karti hai. Khaak pyaar karti hai? Mujhe gaye ek din bhi nahi hua aur college chal di? Aisa kaisa pyaar hai uska? Shanta aunty ki bolne se hi lag raha hai ki mere wahaan se jaane se Naina ko koi farak hi nahi pada hai. Itni aasaani se wohh mujhe aise kaise sidetrack kar sakti hai? Mujhse maafi chahiye thi usse toh fir usne abhi tak mujhse kuch contact kyun nahi kiya? No calls, no messages? Isse pyaar kehte hai? Ek main hun jo yahaan Dehradun aakar bhi sirf uske baare mein soch raha hun aur wohh wahaan mast college bhi chali gayi. Mera khayaal bhi nahi aaya kya usse?"

Sameer was speaking to himself but he was loud enough that Munna had heard his talks and he had laughed heartily. Munna knew his friend very well, so they had deliberately asked Shanta aunty to say that Naina had gone to college. Sameer was always impulsive in taking decisions and so, here he was sitting in Dehradun, waiting for his dream girl. What had he expected that Naina would come running behind him to win him over? He had literally not given her a second chance. Was he expecting too much?

When Pandit went to meet Sameer and Munna after dropping Naina, Munna told him about their friend's sweet chat with himself. They had known this. They knew their friend too well and had guessed his way of thinking spot on. They wanted him to be restless so when he would see Naina in his own house after three days, he would at least acknowledge her. And the shocks that he was going to receive once he was there would be memorable.

Sameer would have never anticipated this, his friends mused. They saw their best friend sulking each day when he received no calls or messages from his dream girl. And whenever he called Shanta aunty, she would tell him that Naina was not home. She was either at college or had gone out.

Hearing the same reasons for the next three days, his restlessness was at peak. Sameer wanted to see Naina or even hear her voice for once, so that his heart would be content to know that she was doing fine. But something was pricking his heart, he somewhere hoped that whatever Shanta aunty was telling him was not the whole truth. Something was amiss.

After three days, Sameer told Munna and Pandit that he wanted to go to his place the next day. Both happily obliged as they had expected this from him. They were continuously in touch with his dream girl and were updated about her grooming.

That night when Sameer retired to his bed, he had some mixed feelings. He didn't know why he thought that something was about to change the next day. But exactly what, he had no idea.

How was the update?

Guys... I am really sorry for delaying this update too much...

A big sorry to all of you...

I have a question for all of you...

I had expected that my story, Sassy Girl Has My Heart ', would wind up in a maximum of ten chapters, but here I am writing it further. I won't be stretching this redemption phase too long. So, I will most probably end this story in the next two chapters.

So, my question is should I first complete this story and then update Vows Of Hatred or should I update Vows Of Hatred next?

Let me know soon...

Till then, take care and stay safe...😊

With Lots of Love,

Daksha...❤️
